CHAPTER 6

~PETE POV~

When we came home I thank my siblings and bid goodbye to them. I hurriedly drove back home, when I reach my apartment I asked P'Ram our butler how is he and he said that he was already resting after eating dinner and take his medicines. I go to my room and check the CCTV footage in his room and suddenly a smile breaks into my face, I miss him already but he need his rest.

I quietly go to his room checking his condition, I caress his face and place a kiss on his forehead and I felt peace beside him. How I wish that it will last forever. I know that our start was a bit off and out of place because of the misunderstanding, but what I felt for him was true. Maybe I was only attracted to Luke and confused it by love, but for Kao I know it's beyond different.

My heart was beating like crazy when I am with him, like I know him for years even though we just met by an accident. For me it was like meeting him was inevitable but staying with him was my choice. I don't know how I will fall for him after the things happen with my ex, I thought that I would never fall in love again. My mom always told me that I was only attracted to Luke and thinking about it now I realize that she was right I don't love him, like the way I love the person in front of me. My mom was right, love moves in mysterious ways.

I was startled when my phone rings, I can see that it was my dad so I step out to his room so that I won't wake him up.

"Hello dad, are you at home already?" I asked

"Yes Pete and I already arrange the necessary things needed for Kao's operation"

"Thank you dad, is that all?"

"Oh, before I forgot your presence was needed early morning at the mansion, uncle Xander want to talk to you alone, good luck son! I gotta go. Bye bye"

"Okay dad, Thank you for informing me. Bye bye"

After the call I sigh time to face one of the head dragon... geezz.. I was scared but I need to do it for us. I can do it! The time that we spent together was so precious to me, I need to win their approval so that I can also come clean to him before I can properly court him. I think that if I can win him over I can asked him to marry me. Okay Pete time to make it right. I was talking to myself and head back to my room to sleep. Tomorrow is another day to start again.

Two weeks have passed and I don't have a proper conversation with Kao. Grandpa Xander was so strict especially when it comes to his grandchildren, (T_T) but I survived! I gained their trust to court Kao properly. Now it's the time that I will asked Kao approval, so that I can make things right for us.

I woke up early and I set an appointment to our family hospital for Kao's check up. It was also the day that he will meet his family and all the necessary documents was already taken care of for his surgery. It was also the day that I will confess to him, I hope that he will give me a chance. I check him to his room and caress his face and planted a kiss on his forehead. See you at the hospital I whisper to him and I leave a note and phone to his night stand and I go back to my room.

I was watching him at the CCTV footage from my room and I saw him smiling when he read the note I left earlier. I smile also and go back to what I was doing, I was making some arrangements through the phone when I heard that the Medical Team arrived and P'Ram our butler was talking with them and bring them in Kao's room. He was sent first to the hospital for check up and after I was done for the preparations I get up and follow him to the hospital.

At the hospital I saw his family was already there, they are waiting for him to be transfer to a VIP room. My parents will be coming later also.

"Sawadee Uncle, Auntie, Kai" I greet and 'wai' at them politely.

"Sawadee Pete, you're early?" Uncle Khaotung said to me

"Don't worry uncle I will be staying outside so that you can have your family talk, I know that you missed him, I'm sorry for keeping him these long" I said to him

"Nah Pete, past is past we all know that you never intend to do it" Auntie Airish said to me

"Thanks Auntie, means a lot" I said to her

"Pray that Kao will give you chance" Kai said to me and I just smile to her. I hope also.

"Excuse me who was the patients family?" the doctor interjects and we were startled a bit.

"We are, what happen doc? Is there a problem?" I heard Auntie Airish become worried

"May I suggest that we talk in private at the consultation room" the doctor said and gesture us to follow him.

"Pete, can you wait here while we are talking to the doctor" Uncle Khaotung said to me.

"Yes uncle it's fine with me" I said to them and the three of them follow the doctor.

~KAIRA POV~

I can't believe this is really happening to us especially Kao, for me it was just like yesterday that all this fiasco happen. That night were Kao went missing, I know that half of it was my fault. We were invited to attend one of our friends birthday party and my idea to ditched our bodyguards was a mistake. The memories was still clear to my mind.

"Kao, let's go! Just hopped on my bike"

"No Kai, you go first maybe Xandee was already waiting there"

"I don't want to leave you here, I know you"

"I won't ditched you guys this time, I just want to enjoy the ride to my bike also"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah! Just go first, I follow you there"

I can feel that Kao was happy to rode his bike, so I leave him and I came first at the party. We are always like that we feel what the other may felt, our mom told us it was because of our deep connection to each other, it's a twin thing they called it and we are happy to learn that. We are enjoying the party and then Xandee was asking where is my brother. I try to call him but it came straight to the voicemail. I guess he ditched us like he always do besides I don't sense any danger coming to him.

When I came home it was barely early in the morning and I was shocked to see my parents waiting for me, maybe our bodyguards tell them. My parents asked me where I have been and asking if Kao was with me, I answer them that I was in a birthday party with Xandee and Kao ditched us to go home. What surprised me when they said that Kao was not at home.

The searching team was sent all over the place to looked for him but a week has passed and no trace of him has been found. That whole week my mom keep asking me if I can sense Kao and the only assurance I can give to my family that he was safe because I can feel what he felt. There was a day that I feel him that he was scared but then it was gone in a split second and I was so worried about him. Until auntie Bella called us informing that Kao was in good hands and was taken care of our family friend. No wonder we can't get the information we needed.

As auntie Bella came to our house to explain what really happen, we we're shocked and worried for him. My parents somehow felt relieved but not me, how come they keep Kao for themselves and not bring him to his family. Then both of the families were summoned to the mansion, and there I saw the guy same age as mine and Kao and he earned a fist from me that day because I heard that he was keeping my brother. I know that his intention was good but there were some parts that stirred up my mind, I get to know his name was Pete.

What shocked me the most when Grandpa Xander put him to the test if he was capable enough to court Kao, what a turned of events they started a bit off and now he wants Kao. I was praying that whatever happens I want Kao to be happy. I can see the sincerity of Pete from the day we have met until now. It was the day that we will finally see Kao again, and we need to see the doctor first.

"Have a seat Mr. and Mrs. Thitipoom" the doctor said to us when we reach the room and we obliged.

"Is there a problem doc about my son?" my mom asked worriedly

"No there was no problem with him actually, it was that we need to postponed the operation because it was risky for them?" the doctor answer.

"What are you talking about?" My dad asked

"Well, sir congratulations! Your son was 2weeks pregnant" the doctor said and we we're stunned.

"What?! he was pregnant? Is this a joke?" I said.

"No, it was not a joke and Yes he was pregnant, but don't worry it was not the first time in our country. It is called anatomically intersex and that was the reason we should postponed his surgery because it will affect his body and the fetus" he said

"Oh, I will become a grandfather!" my dad exclaimed happily

"Oh yes dear, doctor can you elaborate the things that needed to be taken care of?" my mom squeal she was happy also.

The doctor explained Kao's condition especially he was carrying a child, I admit I was happy I will be an auntie but I was still thinking of Kao's feeling. Does he aware that he was carrying a child? And who was the father of the unborn child? Was it Pete? But he just already met him a few weeks ago, it's impossible I guess? or does Kao have a lover that I don't know?

Kao was sweet and innocent while I was the tiger so no one messes with us. I was always protecting him from some guys who just want to go under his pants, but didn't care about his feelings. Geezz.. this brother of mine. Some part of my mind asking questions but some part also wishes that the child was Pete. What the heck I am thinking?! Am I approving Pete already for Kao? Geezz.

When we came back Pete said that Kao has been transferred to a private room, and we all go there. Pete just stayed outside saying he will wait for his parents and we came in and what we saw in there was a very fragile Kao, half of his face was burned but already healed. I can see that it can be back after the surgery but, we should wait first.

"My son Kao, wake up dear, mommy and daddy was here also Kai" my mom hold his hand and caressing Kao's face. Our mom trying to wake him up so that sge can assure that Kao was alright. I can see him stir and slowly open his eyes maybe he was awaken by the words of our mom.

"Kao, what happen to you son? We are so worried" our mom asked and he just cried.

"Don't cry Kao, we came here as fast as possible when we know your location" I said to him

"Son, we have something to discuss to you" our dad said to him.

"Son, do you have a lover?" our mom softly asked and he just shake his head. Oh, he doesn't have a lover, so who is the father? I was confused.

"I don't have a lover mom, and besides who would like me, look at me now" he said and I feel his pain.

"oww, my lovely brother don't say that, everyone loves you for who you are because you have a kind heart" I said in a soft tone and hug him tightly.

"And we already set up an appointment for your operation, so that your face and body can go back like before" Dad announce.

"It's just it will take time because of your condition..." mom said looking straight to his eyes.

"what condition mom?" he asked.

"...you are pregnant my son" she dropped it, and I can see that he was shocked.

"I'm what?! how?!" he stutter

"well, it was too early, your 2weeks preggy bro, they call it anatomically intersex" I follow up what my mom said.

"so you better tell us, who is the father of your child, my son" dad said with a firm voice, and he start to cry again.

"hhussshhh, don't cry Kao, it's bad for the baby, we know you are emotionally unstable right now." I hug him and rock him slowly so he stopped crying.

"We will not force you to tell us who is the father, but do you want to keep the child?" my father asked again and he just nod. Maybe he love the person who was the father of his child that he was willing to keep it.

Somebody knock at the door, and my father open it. I can see it was the police and they stated that my brother was only the victim in the accident and my dad said that he will deal with them later and they leave. We told him to rest again so he will regain his health when I heard another knock on the door. This time I open the door and I saw Pete together with his parents. I think it's time for him to asked Kao.

~PETE POV~

When Kai open the door and let us in. I felt that it was now or never. We were welcome by uncle and auntie. I asked straight uncle and auntie if I can marry him and they said that if Kao permits it they are happy to welcome me in the family.

"I won't accept you" suddenly I hear him said it and I gasped. I came forward to him, and I hold and caress his hand.

"Kao, can you give me a chance? To prove myself" I begged at him

"But, what about Luke?" he asked softly.

"He was not in the picture anymore, it's just you and me from now on" I said to him with a reassuring smile.

"Okay, I will give you a chance, but it's not guaranteed..." I cut him off with a kiss. "I love you, thank you for giving me a chance" I said after the kiss. I was so happy that I forgot where are we and I kiss him.

"Ehem, Pete, will you really accept Kao? Do you really love him" I hear Kai asked me

"Yes, I love him and I will accept him no matter what happens" I answer her, heck she was scary I can feel it. What's the deal again.

"You may find it unbelievable, but Kao is a 'package deal'. No return, no exchange Pete" Kai was seriously talking to me in front of our parents.

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion

"Kao is pregnant, and he was two weeks long, still want to marry him" she said and I was stunned at first but I smile to what I heard. Kao is pregnant.

"So what if he was pregnant, I still want to marry him" It's an autopilot answer from me. I was so happy he was pregnant and I can assure that the baby was mine.

"Are you sure about it?" now it's auntie Airish asked me.

"Yes ma'am, I am sure! Dad, Mom you will be grandparents soon!" I squeal in happiness.

I can hear them talked about engagement and marriage, I don't care at all. I need to asked Kao first for this matter. I hope he accept me.

"So Kao, our family already agreed, but I need to ask you this. Will you marry me?" I asked him kneeling on the floor holding a small box with ring on it. He just cried and nod at me and I smile widely. Finally!

"Yes, I will marry you Pete... I love you" he blurted his feelings toward me. He love me also. Thank God! I hug him back and put the ring into his finger.

"I love you too" I said softly to him and place a kiss on his lips.

Both families clap and was teary to the sudden confession and proposal I made and they all leave us alone in the room. As they leave, I was thinking of the things happened to me and I was still overwhelmed but I am happy. Hoping that it's not a dream.

"Pete, do you really love me?" suddenly he asked me

"Yes Kao, I really love you?" I answer him and I can see the confused look in his face.

"When? Why? How?" he was so confused

"At first I was so mad at you because I thought you were Luke, because when the explosion happen only your body was found near the car" I narrates

"Then?" he was still looking at me

"My men brought you to the hospital and giving you first aid and the doctors almost lost hope but you are a fighter baby, your heartbeat back, but your face and chest got burned" I explain to him. Heck I was so horrified to what happen to him that time. I cannot loose him again.

"When did you learn that I am not Luke?" he asked

"Honestly speaking I have a doubt, but my anger blinded me, I just... know that you are not Luke when we have our first night... I knew you bled a little." I see him blushed and smack my arm

"you pervert!" he said still smacking my arm

"Aayyy, stop being violent, it's bad for our baby" I said to him.

"woah, so you are only concern to the baby, sorry Mr. but it's only my baby" I hissed to him

"nope, it's our baby. We.made.it! so you are both mine." I said to him with my stern voice.

"o-okay" I sense his nervousness so I smile to relieve him. Heck it was our baby, no one touches what's mine.

"I love you Kao, and our little pumpkin. Later I will come clean to our parents, so they will know that I am the legal father of our baby" I said softly to him.

"Thank you Pete" he smile at me

"Thank you too Kao" I said to him, I hold his hand and looked him straight into his eyes.

"So where is Luke now?" he mumble

"I don't know where he was gone, but my dad was dealing with him" I answer him and he just nod I hope he heard me.

I told him to take a rest and I will be just on his side to look after him, I tucked him on the bed and kiss his forehead. I strokes his hair and he started to dozed off to dreamland. I was praying that everything will be alright and hoping that this time I will make it right.
