"You can't go outside. I forbid it."
With Eucraick talking about it and reiterating it again, Lilith pouted, not liking what she's hearing even though she has heard it a lot of times.
"But I heard that people find different colored hair normal now. Even different colored hair! They use hair dye and wear eye contacts."
"I know the ways of the humans," Eucraick said, letting out a sigh as he felt that Lilith is starting to get stubborn. "But yours are too natural. Even then, we won't risk it."
"But—"
"There you are, Lilith! I've been looking everywhere for you! You should go do your daily responsibilities before your lessons now!"
"Ugh!"
Lilith groaned aloud, hearing Sicily's voice. With Sicily's hand already touching Lilith's shoulder, the young lady rolled her eyes, harrumphing as she now gave up running away from her.
'If only Eucraick didn't come at this time...'
Sicily and Lilith now walked away. As they did, Eucraick watched the both of them as he remembered the last letter of Amon that he received just a few months ago.
The letter read:
I've found something about Lilith. Please no matter what, especially at this time, don't let her out of the kingdom.
Eucraick watched Sicily and Lilith walk back towards her room. As the king's adviser is now assured that the two of them are now away from this corridor, Eucraick let out a sigh and leaned on the wall behind him.
"I've found something about Lilith. Please no matter what, especially at this time, don't let her out of the kingdom."
He still remembered Amon's words in the last letter that he sent him. Since then, he wondered what the Grim Reaper could have found out.
Eucraick immediately answered his letter to confirm what he meant. Of course, his update immediately piqued his curiosity.
Amon only messaged the people of the kingdom once a month. With this month's letter that he got last week, of course, he would worry and wonder what his words were all about.
Is it a positive message, or a negative one?
Only Amon could tell.
Eucraick furrowed his brows together. He then crossed his arms in front of his chest as he wondered when will he get another reply from Amon. Knowing him, he might have given a reply and his raven will take a month's time to deliver the message to him.
He is slightly annoyed about it actually. They are already at a digital age where they can communicate with technology and even their kingdom has made sure that they can also use it here.
But oddly, Amon wanted not to use those kinds of technology. He would always prefer the old ways.
Snapping himself out of his thoughts, Eucraick just shook his head as he shrugged his shoulders. He knew that there is no use thinking about it now without Amon even giving him details about it.
Wherever he is, Eucraick hopes that Amon is safe and at least he found out something about his powers...
Or probably, more about Lilith.

"Why must you stress me so?" Lilith rolled her eyes at Sicily the moment she heard what the chamberlain had said. "I saw that! Do you want me to poke your eyes, young lady?"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Lilith plopped on her bed, the mattress bouncing her once before she landed her face on her pillow. "You know why I do it every day," she said in a muffled voice against her pillow, making Sicily sigh as she knew what the young lady meant.
"I know... you like to escape my lessons," she replied, now walking towards Lilith's bed to sit beside her. "But you were so eager. I know that we had this discussion before... but do let me know. Is it still worth to act like this?"
Lilith now turned her head to reveal her face. Some hair of her bangs poked her eyes, making her blow upward to adjust its place so it won't further prick her.
"I know it's not and it's just a waste of time, but I'm just bored."
"Lilith..."
Sicily didn't know what to say. In all honesty, she would like the young lady to explore the world! She is even willing to let her do it in secret!
However, with the letter from Amon that they have gotten just a week ago made her hesitant. If Amon claimed that he found out something about Lilith and they weren't able to confirm what it was, then it's better for Lilith to stay here.
Especially if Amon specifically asked for her to stay in the kingdom... then it might be a serious affair.
"We're sorry, Lilith." Sicily just apologized, letting out a small sigh. "But we have no control over it. The king specifically ordered to make you safe here."
"And that I wonder why," Lilith commented, now propping a hand under her chin as she laid to her side. "There is nothing serious happening like war, and I'm just a 'child' being taken care of here in the kingdom because I'm an orphan. Why protect me? I'm not important."
"There you go again, Lilith..." Sicily ruffled her hair, negating on what she had said. "Don't say you're not important. We did take care of you, no?"
"Well, yeah... because you found me without parents. You had no choice but to—"
"Don't even go there," Sicily interrupted—her eyes serious as it stared straight back at Lilith's eyes. "You know I hate this topic wherein you would have to look down on yourself and see yourself like an insignificant person. You're not."
Lilith then sat up from the bed. With her doing an Indian sit, she let out a sigh, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she now wanted to change the topic.
"Fine, fine... you caught me. Shall we eat breakfast then and do the usual boring study? Why learn about the human world when I won't even go anyway?"
"Lilith—"
"I know, I know..."
The young lady then stood up from the bed, making way to her wardrobe so she could choose what clothes to wear.
"It's needed for me to be aware even though I am to stay here in this kingdom for who knows how long like a prisoner... I know."
