Zane stared down Rose. Why should he care about what she thought now that the two of them were done? So what if she had been against killing, it didn't have anything to do.
"I already told you once that there are a lot of things about this world that you don't understand. I think that this more than proves my point on that matter." Zane clicked the safety on the gun back into place, watching the flinch slightly at the sound. The little wildflower didn't like the sound of guns. Surely as a lawyer, she would've heard them go off at one point or another.
"I don't care about that. I care about the fact that someone I thought I knew well could go and do something like this!" Rose snapped back, gaze wavering slightly as a cold, hollow laugh erupted from the young mafioso. The shift in the expression in his eyes made him look ten times colder than Rose remembered him being.
