DC: Leave my Cat alone

"My name is Lucas Morningstar, and I know my life is better than 99% of the world. Why is that? I have a decent job. A talking toy. An alien robot which gave me powers. And the best cat in the whole wide universe that deserves all the chin scratches in the world. So what if there were speedsters, a gun who is practically walmart robin-hood and supergirl flying around? With Tom by myside, I am the strongest cat owner in the world." Lucas narrated proudly to the reading audience. He then smelt the air a little and could smell smoke. "Shit, be right back. TOM, PUT BUZZ DOWN AND GET A FIRE EXTINGUISHER!" … I do not own any rights to the characters other than my own OC. original credit goes to the relative creators Authors note: You can read up to 10 chapters ahead if you want to on my p#treon.com/Fat_Cultivator

Chapter 29: Vandal Savage

Chapter 29: Vandal Savage

While I was left there in shock, Tom walked into the room with his pajamas and was rubbing his eyes trying not to fall asleep.

He didn't even realize my shocked look as he went towards his bed, yawning and putting on his eye mask.

Wasn't he super active just one second ago?

"Tom." I called out, to which he removed the eye mask and used his fingers to open his eye lids.

"You can sleep on my bed if you wa-" Before I could even complete my sentence, I had a cat who curled up like a baby with a finger in his mouth and was sleeping.

Tom always tried to sleep on my bed at night, but his body heat was too much for me, and he was a big cat.

So whenever I did allow him he joined me with no questions asked.

I wrapped my hands around the massive fur ball and went to sleep.

I had to thank the gods he didn't shed fur, if not I would definitely be depressed.

I went to work the next morning like nothing had happened.

I mean, after thinking it through, while it was an issue, nothing had happened.

I only knew her for a couple of days, and what did I expect when I went for her best friend instead of her. I didn't know what was considered a reasonable reaction, but hers didn't seem like the worse case scenario.

And just like that, 2 weeks had passed while the city slowly returned to normal, and the chaos was decreasing.

I met Blair at least 4 over these weeks, and the Flash also came back.

Blair didn't mention what happened between her and Serena so I didn't really ask her anything about it yet too.

Steel also helped me unlock one of my supposed strongest modes so far, which was [Turbo-Rocket] mode.

Tom also managed to make the Turbo Sword, and was now working on a car too.

I did add sword training to my schedule while trying to manipulate multiple cones, and just like that a week went by relatively quickly.

Right now, I was inside of Jitters while Blair was planning some event.

"Why don't you want to come? It's just a ball, I am telling you it is fun."

Right now she was trying to get me to go to Starling City for one of the events her mother and Serena's mother has been organizing.

And I wasn't really into Balls all that much.

"I just don't like the formal setting."

That and it brought back some fucked memories.

"Or maybe you are just bad at dancing." She taunted.

"I will have you know I am one of the best at dancing." I told her but she clearly didn't believe me and just had a pout on her face.

"And are you sure you want to introduce me to your friends?" I asked her to which she remain quiet so I continued.

"Weren't you the one who said I would be looked down upon for having a simple life?"

"I didn't say that!" She said as she closed her laptop in slight annoyance. "I just said that some people are more judgmental, but I have been handling that my whole life so I will be fine."

I turned towards her slightly, but this was something I really didn't want to do, so I was hoping she would eventually drop the topic.

"Kendra, can you finish the rest up?" I questioned, to which Kendra's head popped up from the second floor as she gave me a thumbs up.

"Stay safe." I told Kendra, as I motioned for Blair to follow me as I got my bag.

However my senses went off, as I turned to the entrance of the store to see a man with long hair that fell off his shoulders, and a menacing aura to him.

On instinct, I walked in front of Blair to protect her as she herself hid behind me.

"Can I help you?" I questioned the guy as he ignored me and turned his head towards Kendra who was coming down as well.

"You are just as beautiful in this life as any other, Priestess Chay-Ara," the man said as he walked closer to her.

"Priestess?" Kendra questioned in confusion as Blair grabbed my shirt.

"Listen sir, please leave." I told him politely, but the man ignored me and stood in front of me.

"I think not, sir." He then revealed that inside of his coat he had tens of knives.

"I don't understand, what do you want?" Kendra questioned in confusion.

"I believe I was clear." The man said, as he threw one of the knives right towards Kendra.

I felt the world around me slow down, while I tried to control my energy and stop it from appearing out in the open.

But the knife moved in slow motion to me, since even in base form, I was 10 times faster than a normal human at their peak genetics.

I grabbed the knife that was flying towards me and directed it back towards the long haired man.

"Impressive." He muttered, before he threw 2 more knives.

Right as I caught them, he appeared in front of my eyes. At this moment, some Turbo Energy surged into my fists and I punched him into his chest.

As he got pushed back and began coughing vigorously, the man gave me a look of anger before throwing a smoke bomb and disappearing.

"Who was that?" Kendra asked in confusion as Blair ran into my arms to hug me.

"I was hoping you would tell me."

"I have no clue who he is." Kendra said, as I ran my hands through Blairs hair.

"Why does this keep happening?" She questioned to which I had no answer. It did seem often that whenever we were together something was happening.

Right at that second I was able to sense that something was approaching me with incredible speed, and I knew the enemy felt similar to Barry's.

"KENDRA!" I heard a familiar voice, but slightly distorted shout at Kendra.

"Flash?" Kendra asked in confusion.

"I know you're fast but how the hell did you make it here before we reported nothing?" Blair asked out loud in confusion.

"I had a…credible source." Barry said in slight confusion.

"Are you all okay?" He then asked.

"We are fine." I spoke out, stepping in front slightly to face him properly, "But the man that attacked us was calling her something like Priestess Chay-Ara."

"And let me guess, you aren't a priestess?"

"If I was, do you think I would be working in a coffee shop?" She then turned towards me and said, "No offense."

"None should be taken." Blair replied.

I couldn't help but face down towards her while she had her head buried into my chest.

"What? You know how I feel about this."

I couldn't help but sigh. No matter how much I talked to her, she didn't seem to understand that some people were truly content with just getting by.

"Kendra, I need you to follow me if that's okay with you." Flash said as he talked to his team and asked her.

I didn't know why but she looked towards me as if I knew what she was supposed to do.

"Alright then…" Kendra said, as the Flash nodded to me and both of them disappeared from their location.

I then looked down, to see tears filling my entire shirt.

"Hey, why are you crying?" I couldn't help but ask as I raised her head by lifting her chin slightly.

She stuck her lips out to mine, clearly asking for a kiss to which I obliged and gave her a peck on her lips.

We had made out a couple of times already so this was fairly normal for us.

"I am just so scared, why do things like this keep happening to us?" She questioned as she hugged me really tightly.

I couldn't help but hug her back, and when I did, she took the opportunity and leaped into my arms like a koala bear.

She didn't seem like the dignified girl who was too high class of a society anymore. She only behaved like that when others were around.

But with me, she was my cute little Blair Waldorf, and I am happy that she only showed me this side of her.

"I don't know why it only happens to us." I honestly told her.

"But do know I will protect you no matter what."

As I said that, she climbed slightly higher, and leaned her head onto mine before kissing me all over my face.

Starting from my forehead, to my cheeks, nose, lips and even my chin.

"I know one way you can cheer me up." She told me honestly.

And I could tell what she was thinking.

Well…fine, if it isn't for her, who else will I go to events with.

"Fine, I guess we are going to a ball."

"YES! THANK YOU LUCAS!" She screamed in excitement.

I felt like I could be trapped in that moment for a while, seeing her happy face.
