Chapter 10: Five no six?

Loving all the negative comments so far *cough* sarcasm, I do know my story has some mistakes I need to fix but do understand I'm not perfect and won't notice all of them.

It was all coming together so well, with the so called 'Titans' soon coming only expecting me they will be taken by surprise thanks to my new allies.

Looking around I smiled at the little group I formed all in their places ready to ambush the young hero's when they arrive, each was different and excelled at their talents.

Studying the Titans I came to understand their repeatative strategy of sending their Speedster by himself, he would move civilians or distract any thieves but not today with the help of Psimon who was mixed into the group of hostages ready to attack.

'Your move Demon'

"Hey what's going on with K-F? He should of messaged back after scoping the places for hostages" I said as we jumped out of the T-car, everyone immediately got serious as a unknowing chill ran through us.

"I don't like this.." said Speedy

"Guys calm down, it should just Dr. Light inside so I'm sure Kid-flash can take care of himself" said Bumblebee as if trying to convince herself more than us, but I was worried because I hadn't heard of any super-villain team ups against the titans yet.

This could most likely be it. But I wasn't sure who it could be, I remembered the 'Hive five' from 'teen titans' as a kid but I wasn't sure who the 'five' would be in this universe.

'Or maybe I'm being paranoid and need to stop watching TV'

As we all rushed towards the bank I couldn't describe it but it was like my head was inside a vice, I tried to shake off the strange feeling in my head but it seemed to just not leave.

As a looked behind me I noticed some of the team wasn't feeling well either as they all clutched onto their heads, immediately I knew something was up but before I could help my spider-senses kicked into high gear.

Leaping up a giant crash happens right where I was previously standing but as I'm in the air my senses as still warning me of another attack as a beam of energy narrowly misses me, the team was still struggling to even shake off whatever was happening to them.

Summoning my blaster-pods from my back I shoot the concrete around the team creating a dust cloud, I try gather the team for a strategic retreat but I suddenly feel as if my head was splitting.

Falling into the dust cloud I clutch my head in pain as it felt like someone was trying to drill into my head, "This one's mind is strong, I can't seem to get inside it" looking for the voice I see a hooded man with his hand pointed towards me.

But what surprised me was who stood around him.

'Shimmer, Mammoth, Dr. Light... Shouldn't these three at be in prison? I don't know the Psychic, and pink hair? is that Jinx?'

"Hmm thats unexpected... but it doesn't matter, Do you like my little surprise little Demon?" gloated Dr. Light as he stood looking smuggly at us, I needed to take out the psychic so we could fight.

I could see Robin still resisting even with Bumblebee Beast-boy and Speedy passed out on the floor, there was little I could do at the moment with my team-mates in the way so I needed a quick counter.

"This really doesn't make me feel better, I was hoping for at least a bit of a fight..." said Dr.Light before he released a beam into my shoulder, I could feel my body course in pain as I screamed in response.

Dr. Light's ablilities were a major threat to me but I had to take out the Psychic so I could have the team back me up, at the last moment when Dr.Light's photon beam disappeared I summoned one of my bladed-limbs quickly knocking the Psychic away.

That moment was all it took as Robin suddenly got up and threw some birdarangs which quickly exploded, turning around I quickly grabbed Beast-boy and gave him a quick slap.

"Aghh, awch that hurt?!" moaned Beast-boy as he rubbed his cheek in pain.

"Less chitchat more combat" I snarled as I quickly launched myself into the air releasing a slavo of missiles towards the villains, Mammoth tanked his and Shimmer's, Jinx's fritz'd out and missed while Dr. Light shot his down and the Psychic caught his before throwing it away.

With the rest of the team waking up Speedy quickly shots multiple 'special' arrows at the villains in attempt to incapacitate them while I made my way to the Psychic, as I landed towards him I suddenly found myself stuck in mid-air.

'Awh crap'

The Psychic's face was revealed and he wasn't happy as he swung his hand down sending me crashing into the ground, I got up ready to fightback but quickly jumped back as a beam of energy flew by me.

"P*ss off Light, go play with someone else"

My comment seemed to only get him angrier as he repeatedly fired beams at me to dodge, looking back I could see Beast-boy and Bumblebee fighting Mammoth and Jinx while Speedy fought Shimmer.

Robin quickly entered the fight as he rushed towards Dr. Light giving me the chance I needed as I swung towards the pale Psychic, he looked at me in anger as he started to psychically pick up and throw loose rubble at me.

To avoid wasting time I tanked everything as I rushed in using my blaster-pods shooting him into the banks wall before landing infront of him, he was barely conscious as I got closer to him with my hand grabbing onto his strange see-through head.

Spreading some of my black mass over him I formed a small semi-bond with the Psychic villain for a moment as I analyzed and copied his genetic information, as I released him the Psychic who I now knew as 'Psimon' was put into a comatose state.

It was a strange feeling trying to bond to someone especially me since it was a first but I couldn't help wanting Psychic powers, turning back to the insuing battle I quickly joined in giving Robin backup.

The rest of the team was struggling with their respective opponents but Dr. Light was the apparent leader who needed to be dealt with which was obvious, fighting the two of us was impossible for Dr. Light as I quickly used my blaster-pods to shoot hit in the back of the head knocking him out as his illusions disappear.

With just a nod both Robin and I knew what to do as I cupped my hands and threw the jumping Robin towards Mammoth as he delivered a Flying kick to the temple, disoriented Beast-boy quickly finishes with a rhino charge straight into the bank's wall.

Out-numbered Shimmer and Jinx looked at eachother for a moment before kneeling in defeat as they raised their hands, immediately Robin pulled out two pairs of handcuffs from his utility belt as he cuffs them.

"Where's Kid-flash?" said Robin as he stood over the two criminals, they didn't reply for awhile till shimmer motioned her head towards the bank.

Immediately Beast-boy and I quickly made our way into the bank and in seconds we found the hostages all tied and gagged in the middle of one of the office rooms with Speedy next to them unconsious, before we could approach them I quickly pulled Beast-boy and I back as a blast of energy narrowly misses us.

"Not today wheeze-bags"

Looking where the shot came from I see a green-overall wearing midget with a bulky backpack as he looked at me with anger, it only took me a moment to realize who he was.

"Gizmo? wait why are you even working with Dr. Light?" I asked.

"...Because you took my stuff you Gruffle snuffer, now it's payback time" Gizmo replied as he pressed a strange remote in his hands, suddenly I could hear a beeping noise coming from the hostages as I noticed a timer on their chests.

'Oh Sh*t!'

Immediately Gizmo runs off using thick bulky limbs different than his first harness in which Beast-boy tries to follow, "Beast-boy stop we gotta rescue the Kid-flash and the hostages" I shouted and I quickly reached for my communicator.

"Robin! the hostages have bomb vests and I don't know how to take them off" I shouted as I quickly tried to wake up Kid-flash.

*Speedy, Bumblebee and I are on our way, who else was there?*

"Gizmo, but he's pulled a runner. I wasn't sure if we should go after him"

In moments Robin, Speedy and Bumblebee quickly made it into the room as they began working on deactivating the bombed vests, it was cutting it close with under two minutes remaining.

Very soon Kid-flash wakes up as well as all the hostages finally safe with the bomb vests deactivated, "Ohh man... what happened" Kid-flash moaned as he rubbed his head in discomfort.

The team couldn't help but smile but I suddenly hear something outside as I rush out, immediately I see Mammoth as he is carrying an unconsious Psimon into the back of a large grey truck.

Swinging over I suddenly dodge a beam of light as I land onto the road to continue the chase but the truck is already getting out of reach as strange rockets on its sides ignite, looking towards it I could see Dr. Light holding onto the edge smiling proudly.

"This isn't over Demon! We will have our revenge... for we are the Fearsom- no, the 'Sinister Six' "

I looked at Dr. Light in disbelief for a moment as they raced off into the distance as my team comes out of the bank too late to do anything.

'Sinister Six... looks like I've changed something from being here'

"So what is wrong with him?" I questioned the kidnapped doctor as he performed his scans of Psimon, the doctor looked at me but I cared little because I'd kill him if he could cure my serv- team mate.

"Uh-umm who do I say this, the patient is in a way... he is dreaming. But it's like he's being forced to dream yet his mind is trying to wake itself up at the same time, I don't know what caused this but it may be a start" he commented while avoiding the gaze of Mammoth who looked at him hungerly.

'The Demon?!'

I didn't know what the Demon did but I knew he was the one that defeated Psimon before so he had to be involved with his current predicament, shaking my head in pity I placed my glowing hand on the doctor's head as he recoiled in fear.

"Wha what are yo- Agggghhhhh!!!"

"I thank you for your co-operation doctor but this is where we part ways" I said with a smile.

'Now I need to somehow deal with the Demon'
