Teaching Gwen!

The atmosphere in the Justice League Watchtower was tense as the core members gathered around the circular table. Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Superman, Aquaman, and The Flash were present, each focused on the task at hand.

Batman, ever the strategist, began the meeting. "Kayn and his team successfully raided an APEX base. They rescued over three dozen children and detained several soldiers for interrogation. The data they extracted indicates APEX has multiple bases conducting inhumane experiments."

Wonder Woman nodded, her expression serious. "Kayn's team is formidable. They managed to handle the situation efficiently, but we need to address the larger threat APEX poses. They're experimenting on innocent people, turning them into monsters."

Superman, his arms crossed, leaned forward. "We need to coordinate our efforts. APEX is a global threat, and we can't allow them to continue these experiments. What's the next step?"

Martian Manhunter, his voice calm and measured, spoke up. "Kayn's team plans to take the fight to APEX's main facility. They believe taking down the central command will cripple the organization. However, they are cautious about unnecessary risks and prefer to act independently."

Aquaman, always direct, added, "They have the right idea, but going after the main base alone is risky. We should offer our support, ensure they have the backup they need."

Green Lantern chimed in. "We can provide them with intel and resources. If they want to lead the charge, we should let them, but be ready to step in if things get out of hand."

Batman, his expression unreadable, nodded. "Agreed. We'll support them, ensuring they have the information and tools necessary for success. Kayn and his team have proven themselves, but we can't afford to lose them in this fight. Manhunter, I'll trust you to look after them."

"Understood." Martian Manhunter responded, nodding lightly.

Then, Wonder Woman interjected, her voice filled with determination, "I'll coordinate with Kayn directly. We'll share our intel and plan our moves carefully. APEX must be stopped, and together, we have the strength to do it."

"What about APEX's dealings in Metropolis? Any update on those Supes?" The Flash, always the joker, was quick to chime in.

"Nothing, the data Kayn sent over has nothing about Metropolis either. It's strange, but I'm always keeping an eye out for any sudden developments." Superman responded.

"Anything that happens, immediately send us the information. Metropolis is a massively influential City, especially with your presence, so we can't have anything going wrong there." Batman spoke.

The meeting continued as the Justice League strategized their next steps, coordinating with Kayn and his team to ensure a unified front against the growing threat of APEX. With the combined efforts of the Justice League and Kayn's team, they aimed to dismantle APEX's operations and protect the innocent from further harm.

Kayn sat in the quiet training room with Gwen, who looked around in awe at the various artifacts and magical runes that adorned the walls. The soft glow from enchanted lamps cast a warm light, creating an atmosphere of serenity and focus.

This room was a room Kayn had specifically designed to train talented magic users. The runes and artifacts in the room improved the magical aura in the environment, more easily allowing people to tap into Magic during their training.

The room also has multiple Mana Formations designed to stop people from interrupting training, such as sound isolation.

Kayn knew that teaching Gwen about magic was not just about imparting knowledge; it was about guiding her to understand herself and her unique abilities, and he needed a perfect environment for that.

"Gwen, what do you think Magic is?" Kayn asked to Gwen, listening in closely to her response.

Gwen paused for a moment, considering the question carefully. Her violet eyes sparkled with a mix of curiosity and determination as she formulated her response.

"To me, magic is like... a hidden language of the universe," she began, her voice thoughtful and earnest. "It's the way the world speaks to those who can listen. It's not just about power or spells. It's about understanding the connections between everything—people, nature, spirits, and even time."

She glanced at her hands, where faint traces of her magical runes glowed softly. "When I use magic, it feels like I'm reaching out and touching those invisible threads. It's like... I can feel the heartbeat of the world, and I can learn to guide it, shape it, without hurting it. Magic is a part of me, but it's also so much bigger than just me."

Gwen looked up at Kayn, her eyes bright with conviction. "It's about respect and balance. It's about knowing when to use it and when to hold back. And it's about helping others, protecting them, and making the world a better place. That's what magic means to me."

Kayn was intrigued about her response, he had asked this question to everyone he had taught about Magic, but no-one was as detailed and excited about the subject like Gwen.

"Correct." Kayn responded, his voice calm and steady, "Magic is not just about power. It's about understanding the world around you and how you fit into it. Every spell, every incantation, draws from the energy within you and the energy around you. To wield magic effectively, you must learn to balance these forces."

Gwen nodded, her violet eyes wide with curiosity. "I understand, but how do I know if I'm doing it right?"

"Most Magic has a price, except for people who instinctively had a connection to a Magical Realm. You have a connection to the Spiritual Realm, allowing you to tap into magical energy without cost." Kayn spoke, explaining slowly before moving on,

"Let's start with something simple. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Feel the magic within you, the energy that flows through your body. It's a part of you, like your heartbeat."

Gwen closed her eyes and followed his instructions. As she breathed in deeply, Kayn continued, "Now, imagine that energy extending beyond your body. Picture it like a soft light, reaching out into the room. Don't force it; just let it flow naturally."

As Gwen focused, a faint glow began to emanate from her, filling the room with a gentle light. Kayn watched her closely, noting how naturally she connected with her magical energy.

"Good, Gwen. You're doing great. Now, let's try to shape that energy. Think of it as molding clay. Magic is a power that allowed one to do whatever they want as long as they had sufficient power and imagination. What form do you want it to take?"

Gwen furrowed her brow in concentration. The light around her shifted and swirled, slowly taking the shape of a small, glowing butterfly. She opened her eyes and gasped in delight. "I did it!"

Kayn nodded, impressed. "Yes, you did. You're a natural. But remember, this is just the beginning. Magic requires discipline and practice. It's not just about creating beautiful things; it's about understanding the responsibility that comes with your power."

Gwen's expression grew serious as she absorbed his words. "I understand. What should I do next?"

"We'll work on controlling your energy more precisely," Kayn explained. "The runes on your body are a form of magical enhancement, but they can also act as a guide. Let's start with a basic spell. Repeat after me: 'Lux lucis lumen.'"

Gwen repeated the incantation, her voice steady. The butterfly she had created began to glow brighter, illuminating the room. Kayn continued, "Focus on the light. Feel how it responds to your will. With practice, you'll be able to manipulate it in various ways."

They spent the next hour practicing different spells and incantations. Gwen's progress was remarkable, her natural talent evident in every spell she cast. Kayn guided her patiently, offering tips and corrections when needed.

As they worked, Kayn shared more about the nature of magic. "Magic is deeply connected to the spirit and mind. It can be influenced by your emotions and thoughts. That's why it's important to stay calm and focused, especially in difficult situations."

Gwen nodded, absorbing his teachings. "I've always been able to see spirits and ghosts. Is that connected to my magic?"

"Yes," Kayn replied. "Your connection to the spiritual realm enhances your magical abilities. It's a rare gift, and it means you have the potential to become a powerful mage. But it also means you need to be careful. The spiritual realm can be unpredictable."

Gwen's eyes shone with determination. "I'll do my best, Kayn. I want to use my powers to help others, like you do."

Kayn placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I have no doubt that you will. Remember, we're all in this together. You have the support of the entire team. If you ever feel overwhelmed, don't hesitate to ask for help."

As the lesson came to an end, Kayn allowed Gwen to experiment a little bit more with her Magic. Although he was teaching her, she also needed to each herself and experience her own trials and tribulations in her practice.

He knew that with time and guidance, she would become a valuable member of their team and a formidable mage in her own right.

"That's enough for today," Kayn said, standing up. "You've done incredibly well, Gwen. We'll continue our lessons tomorrow. For now, get some rest. You've earned it."

Gwen smiled, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Kayn. I won't let you down."

Kayn watched as Gwen left the room, beginning his very own training. He needed to get stronger as fast as possible.

There were still many challenges to face and he needed to improve his strength as soon as possible, there were many aspects he needed to train, especially his Magic, telepathy and telekinesis.

"Illuminus." Kayn muttered, beginning his training.
