Warlocks were a branch of Sages which were said to be the most powerful, but also the most wrenched branch of Sages that had been played by destiny.

Warlocks were ones who would take their research on Magical creatures to the extreme. Unlike Sorcerer who would only exchange parts of the body with magic creatures for more power, warlocks would transplant the life codex on their very own.

Meaning they would tamper with their DNA and add parts of the important characteristics parts of the beast DNA into their own and would be able to benefit from it.

This kind of change would be permanent for most cases and even their future generations would have no chance of changing it, they only had two options when they started the journey towards becoming a Sage.

First, they would have to cultivate according to what their elders had done and that was the only way as any other method of becoming a Sage is closed to them because of their bloodline.

Second, they can forfeit their bloodline, according to the book he read the Sage Rank warlocks could absorb the bloodline from lower grade apprentices as their bloodline had still not matured.

But this was a very cruel process as once the bloodline was removed it would very well be as if their soul had been split which may very well kill them.

Other then this they had the strength and vitality of their respective bloodline as well as all the abilities that the magical beast has, it is written that once a Warlock apprentice becomes a Sage Rank level Warlock he would even be able to transform completely into the magical beast whose bloodline they possess, they would not only have all the fighting ability at the beast but also the casting ability of the Sage.

Still, above 50% apprentice would never take the chance of becoming a Warlock. Since this was the case why would nobody want to become a warlock, the answer is simple.

Each magical beast has a certain limit in their growth because of their potential, for example, the Dawn wolf is a magical beast which would have no problem entering the Rank 1 Sage level and even Rank 2 can be reached with some efforts but the Rank 3, it would take the person a lot of effort and experiments to be able to advance to the third rank.

For example, a Rank 1 Warlock can easily control those in the apprentice stage with his level of bloodline, this phenomenon is known as bloodline pressure.

Only a mutated bloodline or a bloodline that is even purer than the person applying the pressure can resist against it, this hierarchy makes it so that Rank 1 have to listen to Rank 2 and those Rank 2 will always listen to Rank 3.

Because of this reason in the past when some apprentices where highly sort after for their talent whether it be in their power, potioneering talent or magic crafts they would be given a very high-end contracts in which their benefits we're numerous, not only would they be able to have a bloodline so pure that they would be able to enter the 3rd or even the legendary 4th Rank in the future they were also given various other benefits, because of this they would immediately sign the contract.

But this is where they were tricked, even if the bloodline ha the potential, it is only potential until someone succeeds, also once these geniuses were converted they would be directly sent to the family head who was a Rank 2 Warlock at least .
