50: Resonance potion

The very reason for his action of taking the root nodes was that Abby had informed him that with the root nodes of the bloody ratan tree and some of the other herbs that he had used or learned about before could be used to make a new potion that could be used to increase his strength of the body.

This potion could not only increase his vitality but also his strength and agility by a small margin until he reaches a certain point.

But it could still take some time for Abby to complete the whole formula for this potion so it would take some time.

What followed next was that Wade's daily routine had taken a similar route to how he had been previously.

Every day, he was shuttling to and fro between five places: the dorm, the dining hall, the Academic Area, the experiment lab and the library to get the new knowledge, which he obviously had to pay for.

Another month passed unknowingly.

[The calculation of formula has been completed!] Abby's notification sounded.

Sitting on one side of a long table in the library, Wade closed the book he was holding in his hands.

Apart from attending classes and aiding his mentor with his experiments, the majority of his time was spent in the library.

So, now that he had magic crystals he spent most of it to acquire as much knowledge as he could without holding anything back.

"Whew... finally the formulation of the new potion is completed!" Wade exhaled loudly.

After seeing the required ingredients for the potion Wade went to Croc's store for all of it and sold some of his previously brewed potions to exchange for the ingredients and more crystals.

"My accumulation of knowledge is already enough, I'll begin brewing the Resonance Potion today!" Wade decided.

After the intake of the potion the would for a resonance of sort with the entire body and this increase the consumption of the energy of growth in the potion itself.

After reaching his room Wade locked the door and hung up a 'Do Not Disturb' sign, only then did he return to the room beside the bedroom.

A large black coloured table occupied the room, and Wade's previously bought ingredients with the root nodes of the bloody ratan had been placed on it.

"After a few tries, I am sure that I can make the potion today. The amount of root nodes is only enough to try fifteen times. I have finished analysing the formula for the Resonance Potion today, so it's about time to start!"

Wade muttered to himself and took out the black box containing the ingredients. He placed it on the table and opened it.

The crimson fruit, green stem and bottle of black powder appeared before his eyes.

Wade's fingers stroked the surfaces of these 3 items, "Abby! Measure the activity within and establish a model!"

[Establishing scan, in the midst of gathering data, beginning construction!]

"Begin the simulation of the experiment!" Seeing Abby complete its task, Wade gave it another command.

[Simulation of model in process... Strength Potion Formula... Estimated time consumed: 2 hours 31 minutes!]

Even for identical ingredients, the slightest deviation would result in different results when making the potion.

As a potent Potions Master Wade knew that even though it was a new potion that nobody might have made before he still had to make use of his experience and put the theory into practice, then make adjustments to obtain the desired properties of the potion.

This field only relied on raw talent and the future accumulation of experience.

As for Abby, it was able to scan and produce simulations, resulting in a success rate that was much higher than for many other apprentices.

Wade patiently waited for some time, and then heard Abby's voice, [The simulation of the model is completed, success rate: 23.6%]

"A success rate close to one-quarter?" Wade was in ecstasy.

"Even a potion master will always fail on their first attempt at brewing potions. As for me, I'll be able to have a one in four chance of success if I follow Abby's instructions while making this potion?"

"Begin transmitting the process for the experiment!"

[Beginning the transmission of data!] A few images flashed by Wade's eyes as if he had already practised making these potions countless of times.

Various scenarios and their suitable responses, as well as the preparation of ingredients, were all presented in front of him.

"It's time to start!" Wade said.

Wade's expression turned solemn, and he picked up a crimson fruit, "This is a Fibre Fruit and it contains a huge amount of nourishment for body muscles."

Wade placed the Fibre Fruit into a white basin. He picked up a pounding tool and smashed the fruit into a pulp. The red juices flowed out, and an alcoholic scent was emitted from it.

After filtering out the mashed Fibre Fruit, Wade poured the red juice into a beaker.

After that the burner had been lit, light blue flames continuously lapped at the bottom of the beaker. Within minutes, the red juice in the beaker started to boil, and a few flecks of black powder constantly jumped about in the bubbles.

He picked up the glass rod beside him and stirred the contents of the beaker.

"Excrete!" Wade chanted.

A thread of mental force travelled through the glass rod and entered the bubbling liquid, and a few wisps of black gas continued to be produced. It was the poison inside the Fibre Fruit.
