CHAPTER 4: Rewarding a tiring battle

"You can't catch me like that slowpoke!" she shouted with happy tone as she sticks her tongue out provoking Alex.

"Just you wait, ill kill you!" shouted Alex as she continued chasing her until you noticed your backpack shaking. As G7 gets out with a red warning on its screen as Alex and Cassandra was surprised and perplexed by the floating thing in front of them.

"Warning! Class 07 inbound. PROCESSING COMBAT CAPABILITIES OF THE GROUP AND CHANCE OF WINNING IN A BATTLE....You have 20% of surviving and killing the entity" said G7 as all of you panicked

"How many time do we have until it reaches us? you ask as your sweat trickles in your forehead as you grip your gun.

"Approximately 500 seconds" replied G7 as it goes back to your bag

"What is that?! and what is this entity?" ask Alex aggressively as Cassandra tries to calm her down

"No time lets go!" you shouted as you run towards the abandoned building as you make your way towards the second floor surrounded by empty boxes as Cassandra and Alex followed you. You crouched to your knee while aiming your gun on the road.

"What are you doing?" asks Cassandra as she looks at the road only to see a pinkish slime with its skin as flesh as you can see arm and legs growing out of it as Cassandra shouts in terror and agony. As the slime slides toward the building.

"Dammit!! Spray and Pray!!!" you shouted as you grips the trigger of your gun followed by Alex as you rained to it with bullets as blood spurts out of it as it shrieked and shoots a pink solution as you dodge while Cassandra crying on the floor was grabbed by Alex but it hits Alex on the feet as it burns the skin as Alex ignored the pain only to see the monster shooting at them with its pink corrosive solution which the both of you can't even get a shot of it. As it slowly slides towards the building.

"Hey!! G7 what's its weakness?!" you shouted as G7 woke up and started floating near you.

"Its weakness is fire" responded G7

"Thanks! and hey Casssandra! get your shit together or we will all die!!" you shouted at her as which she seems to wake up and looked at Alex's burns as she bandaged it with a bandage from her bag even though she is still sobbing at least she is helping while you run passed them to the first floor

"Hey!! where are you going?!" shouted Alex even in pain

"Gonna set that thing on fire" you said calmly without even looking at her as you proceed to go to the first floor as the monster doesn't notice you. As you grabbed your match and alcohol with a 70% solution which can burn the thing. You grab your knife and slices the top portion of the plastic bottle. As you rush towards the monster you chucked the bottle full of alcohol drenching the monster as it notices you but its too late as you already lit the match and throws it to the monster as it created a large fire and engulfing the monster as you rush back. With the last shriek of the monster, it is finally dead. As you walked up the stairs back to the 2nd floor to see Cassandra on the floor sobbing while Alex hugs her as she sits.

"Thanks..David" said Alex as she looks up to you with a smile and continued hugging Cassandra while you decided to check the carcasses of the monster with an utter disgusting stomach full of semi corroded corpses as you throw up as you walked past it while avoiding its body parts.

There's no way I'm gonna get that orb..orb?? 'll ask G7 what this orb is

As you grab the black orb from your pocket.

"Hey, G7 what is this black orb? and any uses of it?" you ask

"Orbs from the collected carcasses of monster can be used as currency to buy Atlas" G7 responded

"So where can i buy Atlas?" you ask

"Does all of monster have orbs?" you ask again

"Only by chance can you get one" responded G7

"Tell me more about Atlas and how to become a champion"

"There are 4 times of items you can get. Atlas, Orion,Abyss, and Ether coming from 4 Advance Dimensional Planets"

"What?! You said i can gather only Atlas?

"I never said that nor stated that Atlas is the only item you can get"

"Before you only said things about Atlas but now there's a lot more..why give me more information?"

"It seems =LOW CLEARANCE= takes a liking to you"

"Umm..okay? so tell me about different items i can get."

"Atlas enhances your body all around and defensive capabilities. Orion is a weapon for destructive capabilities. Abyss is a weapon or can enhance your body for stealth, and for other transdimensional capabilities. Ether is spells for magical capabilities"

"For killing 2 monster in a day achievement you will be rewarded. Please choose which item"

"What?! umm..give me a Atlas item"

"Congrats! the item will be delivered shortly"

"Delivered shortly?" you ask as you looked in the sky to see a small meteorite coming for you as you rush inside the building as it hits the carcass of the monster burning it thoroughly.

"Damn..that's one hell of a delivery!" you said in surprised

"Indeed" responded G7 as it goes back to your bag. As the meteorite opens up as you can see a blue metallic small gauntlet with screen on the top of it.

Arm of mythos

Type:Atlas

Description: The Arm of mythos is created for combat purposes and was developed under the dimension of =low clearance= for the sole purpose and that is to destroy

Effects: Multiplies the user's strength by 5

"Arm of mythos...5x Arm strength"

As you grab it but it attached and synthesized with your arm as you feel nothing from what happen as you inspected your arm but it turned to normal with no traces of the item.

"What?! What happen?" as you suspected your arm for while until you decided to punch your right arm destroying the wall.

"woah..it seems to strengthen my bones,flesh and skin in my right arm with only a tattoo of 2 blue waves" as you see Cassandra and Alex getting out of the building as Alex is limping as Cassandra helps her walk.

"What happened to her?" ask Alex

"Well i burned the carcass" you said calmly

"How-how do you stay calm when facing such monster?" ask Cassandra with a shaky voice

"If i panic we die..so i hide it somewhere in my heart" you said as you looked at her. Seeing their strong friendship you wished you have but its too late to regret about it.

"Okay i got some explaining to do" you said

"Sure you do" replied Alex with a suspicious look

"First..this G7..a robot? i don't know but he gives me information which i think is the most useful you can get" you said as you continued explaining what you've learned.

"Wow..that is disturbing" said Cassandra as she looks at the ground

"and sorry for what i've done..if i did''nt stay there crying my eyes out..i might not be a burden" she added with a sad expression and a teary eyes

"Hey..Alex we shouldn't deceive him" as Cassandra looks at Alex

"Sure..i trust him..for now" as Alex eyes you suspiciously

"Actually i have a Ether which is healing touch..which heals anything i touch..pretty self explanatory" she said as she chuckles and continued speaking.

"We were able to get this Ether from a glowing orb behind our apartment" she said with a sad look

"why with a sad look?" you ask wondering why is that.

"Its..Cassandra's parents died protecting the both of us while my parents died from the war..." as Alex walks straight with a sad look as Cassandra was about to cry. You hugged Cassandra tightly which surprises Cassandra and yourself."

"its ok..you can cry on my shoulder...you can cry the pain out" you said as Cassandra hugs you back griping your shirt and crying on your shirt. After a while, she lets go and you let go as her crying was clearly can be seen on your shirt as she chuckled and gives you a smile.
