Chapter 65

Sebastiene went forward first, but I stopped him.

"Why aren't you protecting yourself?" I frowned.

Sebastiene gave a pleasant smile.

"With my ability, I am blessed with immunity to all poisons, my lady." He answered before moving forward again.

Immunity to poison. It's an ability that would be very helpful to us. I wonder if I could learn that ability.

As we walked further in to the alley, we suddenly heard a boisterous laughter. We walked towards the sound of laughter and saw the men surrounding the couple. We did not revealed ourselves yet, I wanted to check the situation first.

"There's nowhere for you to run anymore." The bald man who was holding a sword spoke. "Wouldn't it be better for you to just come back with us, Aspez?"

The boy, Aspez, held on tightly to the girl behind him, obviously protecting her. He had buttery blonde hair color, his clothes were sewn and mended in more than one place. There were splotches of mud in his body and there were holes on his shoes. The girl behind him also has the same hair color and was wearing a bit fancier clothes. She had pearly complexion that was light in tone, and she looked stunning with her green eyes.

"Go back and what?" Aspez asked sarcastically. "Work for you without pay? Eat leftover food that are already spoilt and rotten? For the love of the gods, you even tried to sell Elaheh to the whorehouse! Why would I go back? Eh? To die a slave to Karciel?"

The bald man tightened his grip on the sword he was holding.

"Because if you do not return, we will have to die here." The bald man answered without any sympathy. "Is that what you want? For your Elaheh to die?"

"I would rather die than to be reduced to a slave to the whorehouse for the rest of my life!" The girl retorted without hesitation.

When the girl looked up, I was able to see that the right side of her face was scarred. It was a burned scar, like she was spilled with hot water or acid.

"Shut up little girl." A thin guy with very red hair and a villainous face yelled at her. "You should be glad that there would still be someone willing to pay you with that face of yours."

The boy covered the girl with his body again.

"I still won't return." The boy said.

The bald man sighed regrettably.

"Then there is no use to let you live." The bald man answered and pulled out his sword.

The boy stood courageously in front of the girl.

"There is no use fighting, even with your abilities, you will forever only be useful in the kitchen." A fat guy snickered.

"When you die, we will keep her alive and sell her to the whorehouse." The thin man said while looking perversely at the girl. "After we are done playing with her."

The other guys howled and snickered.

"That is if you could take me alive." The girl retorted bravely.

I looked at Sebastiene whose eyes were glinting with excitement.

I smirked.

We walked out from the place where we were listening and it startled the people standing there.

"Hey you!" A shot guy shouted while pointing his sword towards me. "You-"

He wasn't able to finish his sentence.

Blood spurted in front of him as the arm that was holding the sword flew back and dropped to the ground in front of his 'friends'. They all looked at the arm before the short guy suddenly screamed in agony.

Sebastiene wiped his bloody hand on a white handkerchief.

"Please refrain from pointing anything dangerous toward the young lady." Sebastiene warned with a smile. The men visibly flinched at the power behind his words.

"Who are you?" The bald man asked. He was being cautious towards us. "You have no business here."

I looked at the boy and girl who were around the same age as Marionne, about eighteen. They were wide eyed and speechless at the sight of Sebastiene. Or his strength.

"Seb." I pointed at the pair. "I want them. Bring them back with us."

The boy, hearing what I said, immediately covered the girl protectively.

The bald man, hearing my words, became agitated.

"They are coming with us." He stepped in front of us.

"Seb."

"Yes, my lady?"

"Kill anyone who stops you."

Sebastiene bowed his head, his gaze contained a snake like predatory delight as he walk toward the pair.

"You-" The thin man suddenly collapsed and blood slowly pooled under him. The bald man looked over his dead man a stepped back. Fear was clearly written on his face.

Sebastiene continued to walk towards the pair and bowed slightly in front of them.

"Sir, miss, my lady would like you to come with us." He said offering his gloved hand.

The pair looked at Sebastiene hesitantly.

"Unless you want to go with them and be bullied, I suggest you come with us instead." Sebastiene said, showing a charming smile.

The girl came out from behind and stepped forward.

"Are you not going to hurt us?" She asked innocently.

"No." I answered in a beat.

The girl looked at the boy and nodded.

"Then, I will go with you." She said taking Sebastiene's hand before looking back at the boy. "Let's go brother."

The boy looked at the bald man puffing in fury and then at me before nodding to the girl.

They walked passed the bald man who was now furious.

"Did you think that you could get out that easily?" He sneered. "I will be seeing you soon."

"Seb."

Sebastiene showed a vile smile before disappearing.

Bodies started to drop to the ground in pools of blood. The bald man tried to fight Sebastiene but with the difference in power, he was not even able to lift his sword before he dropped to his knees. He held on to the open wound on his neck and stared at me maliciously before dropping dead on the ground.

The short man who lost his arm earlier shook in fear in the middle of the bloody mess.

"Should I kill him too, my lady?" Sebastiene asked.

"No. Take everything you can know from him and report to me later."

"Yes my lady."

After a few minutes, Sebastiene had learned everything he needed. We turned to head back with the pair.

"Wh-who are you?" The man asked fearfully.

I turned to him with contempt and the corner of my lips lifted.

"When you head back to your master, Karciel, send him a message for me." The smile on my lipes turned wicked and imposing. "Tell him that the eldest daughter of House Castellan will be coming for his head soon."

With this remark, I turned and walked back where we came from.
