Sam paced back and forth furious. His mother refused to talk to him since she was having a private meeting with his father. He sighed and yelled for someone to retrieve Lidia.
The maid from the other day knocked on her door, waiting. Layla grimaced as she was pulled from her meditation, taking a moment to glare at the door before she schooled her features into a look of nervousness. "C-coming!" She called, stumbling from her bed as she rushed to the door. She pulled it open hastily, her appearance disheveled.
"Ms. Tila? W-what can I do for you?" She asked, eyeing the woman fearfully as she peaked at her from behind the door, using it as a shield between them.
"The prince called for you." Her tone was snappy. "And don't forget what I said." She hissed, and just before she stormed off, she added. "You should already know where his room is."
