The Shrine of Garuda

Dastan and Sarah travelled to the edge of Zarina after saving the mysterious boy who gave them a tattoo to the right thumb as a gift. The tattoo gave them a sense of emptiness and improved their spatial awareness.

Little did they know how powerful the tattoo was and how they would be reunited in a mysterious way because of this. They, according to the promise given to the eagle beast tribe, were to meet them tomorrow in the morning.

It took three years for them to complete body fortification and it was only when the old reminded them of the time did they feel themselves grown up to the age of 11.

The next morning,

The eagle beast tribe elders who waited three years returned to find the now 11 year old Dastan and Sarah waving at them. They were surprised at the ancestral level aura emitted by the duo.

THE KIDS GREW EVEN STRONGER THAN BEFORE. I ADMIT, THEY WERE RIGHT. THEY ARE NOW READY TO EXPLORE THE SHRINE.

They travelled to the desert in the northwest region of the city and stepped into it. The eagle beast men already made enough preparations for the five of them to stay for a while in the desert and rented three true lord desert lions as mounts. Dastan and Sarah travelled on the mini version of the Azure dragon summoned by Sarah. She had enough amount of Chakra to support the summoning for a long time.

They had to battle with a large number of spirit and magic desert beasts that prowled in the area and this series of battles showed the gap between the duo and the trio.

While the trio were more experienced and coordinated with each other fighting stronger enemies despite being weak, the duo simply crushed their foes head on with their strengths like an avalanche and had excellent rapport masking their lack of experience and maximising their efficiency.

After three days of travel, they reached a worn out ruins that vaguely resembled a temple in shambles. They cautiously explored the exterior of the ruins that gave off a divine aura. The place made their minds calm and increased their concentration and awareness by mere presence.

The instant they stepped into it, however, they felt a weird, unexplainable feeling. Dastan, followed by Sarah, were the ones who doubted and pondered over the feeling. They were familiar with the feeling, spatial turbulence.

They instantly realised that the interior of the temple was another space, another dimension. They were no longer in their lower realm at all.

The duo looked at each other and nodded in understanding. Their thoughts were the same. They were tricked into coming into this parallel space. Based on the combat potential of the beast men, they wouldn't have any problem reaching the temple at all. At most, they would be delayed.

The Shrine of Garuda was a trap to lure adventurers into this unescapable space. They acted clueless despite being on guard against the trio.
