Jin woke up the next morning, laughing mockingly. "Damn these rich people, that bed was incredibly comfortable,"
Jin was not used to sleeping so comfortably in his dilapidated hut.
He stood up, yawning forcefully. "Well, what am I going to do now?" he muttered, scratching his head in thought.
"Damn, with that old man gone, I really don't have anything to do."
He looked around the medical complex. There weren't many people inside, likely because he was in the section reserved for the wealthy or high-ranking individuals.
Sighing, Jin said, "Where the hell am I now?"
He left the room, searching for anyone he could ask about the place. The first person that came to his mind was Elena, but he couldn't find her anywhere.
Feeling slightly annoyed, he wandered randomly through the medical complex. "Why can't I find anyone, for god's sake?"
He kept moving until he found the exit of the medical complex, where he saw a group of people leaning against the wall.
Their clothes indicated they were military personnel, and their expressions were somewhat grim. Jin approached them and asked, "Hello, can you tell me where I am?"
They looked at him coldly and replied, "You're in the medical complex of the VTO2 military facility."
Jin didn't really understand what the name of the military facility meant, but he didn't pay much attention to it.
"Do you know where I can find the woman with the red hair?" he asked them.
They looked at each other before asking, "Red hair ?"
Jin replied, "Yes, she's a 29-year-old woman, quite beautiful with long red hair, and she's a bit annoying."
Jin's description of Elena was truly awful, as he wasn't used to dealing with women, but somehow they understood his description of her
One of them scratched his chin. "Oh, you mean Commander Elena. If you're looking for her, she's in the back training grounds," he said, pointing towards the training area.
Jin answerd" Ah ok thank you for your help" then made his way to the training grounds.
The grounds were vast, with a large number of people training. Jin was impressed by what he saw.
Everyone there was strong, much stronger than him, and they were all training really hard—harder than he ever had with his grandfather. "Damn, they are good," Jin sighed.
Then he continued until he found Elena training in a corner of the grounds
"Oh, Elena, I..." Jin was momentarily stunned by her training.
She moved with incredible agility, wielding her slender sword beautifully and swiftly.
It wasn't just her training that caught his attention, but also her striking appearance.
She was wearing a black crop top and short black shorts that barely reached her thighs.
Her body was covered in sweat, especially around her chest. Jin looked at her with a mix of embarrassment and intense admiration.
Elena noticed him and smiled. "Oh, hello, how are you?"
Jin tried to avert his gaze a little and replied, "I'm doing well, I guess."
Elena sheathed her sword and sat on a chair beside Jin. "So, what brings you here? Did you miss me already?" she teased with a wink.
Jin looked up at the sky, embarrassed. "Hah-ha, wh-what? No, no, you misunderstood."
" Ha-ha I'm just here to ask you some questions, nothing more," he laughed awkwardly.
Elena stifled her laughter and said, "Oh, and what do you want to ask me?"
While still embarrassed, Jin composed himself a bit, trying to speak more seriously.
He sat on the ground with a sigh. "Can you tell me the truth about the creature that killed my grandfather?"
He already knew Elena had information about the creature, as she had told him in the previous night about what happened to her team in the forest.
Elena's expression changed slightly, and she looked at the sky with a hint of seriousness in her eyes.
"Alright, I'll tell you, but first, you need to know a bit about the Chaos Beings."
Jin nodded. "I've heard a little from my grandfather about them. All I know is that they appeared because of that boy, the son of the Saint."
Elena replied, "Oh, do you mean Darko?"
Jin was startled by her words and shouted, "Wh-why are you mentioning his name, you idiot? You'll lose your eyes!"
Elena tilted her head slightly, puzzled. "My eyes? Why?"
Jin quickly responded, "Don't you know, you fool, that when someone mentions his name, they go blind?"
Elena burst into laughter. "Wait, wait, is that what your grandfather told you?" Her laughter grew more intense.
Jin, flustered, replied, "Yes, that's what he told me."
Elena continued laughing. "Ha-ha, I think your grandfather tricked you." She tried to stifle her laughter but couldn't.
"Ha-ha, sorry, sorry. Look at my eyes; they're fine, don't worry."
Jin, exasperated and red-faced from embarrassment, muttered, "Damn that old man. I would want really to kill him... Oh, but he's already dead. Damn you for dying before I could kill you myself, you old fool."
Elena wiped the tears from her eyes from laughing so hard and gasped. "Phew, I haven't laughed like that in a long time. Thank you."
Jin glared at her. "You're not welcome."
Elena smiled a little, then adjusted her posture to speak seriously this time. "Alright, enough joking around. Let me tell you a bit about them."
"Chaos creatures often emerge from portals that appear randomly, but most of these portals tend to manifest more frequently in the southern part of the central plains.
"The rank of these portals varies, of course, but they all share several common features."
She added, "The portals always consist of the first type, which includes various kinds of chaos creatures such as goblins, minotaurs, sirens heads, orcs, and many other grotesque and loathsome beings."
"All first-type creatures are relatively easy to kill if you possess the awakening ability. However, there is one extremely rare category within the first type called stone statues, they can also appear to other types, but that is extremely rare."
"These creatures are truly difficult to kill , they arrives from the third-types and above."
"The second type, considered dangerous, is known as the corrupted leaders. Incidentally, the monster that killed your grandfather was a corrupted leader, They are known for their brutal strength and ability to control all first-type chaos creatures."
"Then there is the third type, called the corrupted demons. This type is truly catastrophic; killing such creatures requires numerous leaders and saints at the very least."
"For example, this category includes corrupted giants, corrupted griffins, and corrupted serpents. Despite their different forms, they all belong to the demon category."
"The fourth type is considered impossible and is called the corrupted statues."
Elena frowned slightly with disdain and then said,
"In the entire history of humanity, only one corrupted statue has been defeated out of four confirmed, and the other three still wreak havoc across the continents."
Jin frowned slightly. "How are corrupted statues eradicated?"
Elena sighed and replied, "It requires hundreds of saints at least, which seems impossible at present."
"Perhaps you don't know, but saints do not like each other enough to sacrifice everything to destroy a corrupted statue in another continent."
Jin felt a surge of anger. "fuck them."
Then Elena said, "And finally, there is the fifth type, known as the fallen angels."
Elena sighed, her eyes filled with hopelessness. "Only one has been confirmed throughout history, currently known as Darko."
"He has never been defeated. He was pure evil, and no matter how hard humans tried, they couldn't kill him. He is immortal."
Jin was astonished. "Immortal?"
Elena responded with a frown, "Yes, he is immortal."
He looked at her in disbelief and said, "My grandfather told me that people believe he is already dead."
"But my grandfather believed he was still alive. How is that possible?"
Elena answered, "well it is true and false at the same time, although he is immortal, he can also die."
"It's difficult for me to explain how because there is nothing logical about him. But he is immortal, unable to be defeated or erased from existence."
in hesitated slightly before asking, "Anyway, how does one become awakened?"
Elena smiled and replied, "Oh, what a lovely question, but I can't answer it right now."
He looked at her and asked, "Why not?"
She smiled, gently running her hand through his hair, "I don't want to spoil the fun for you in Lucaria, do I?"
Jin sighed, "You're so annoying."
Elena chuckled softly and said, "Alright, alright, I have to get back to training now."
"If you want, you can head to the outer courtyard and look for Commander Morgan. He'll help you to improve your fitness and give you some advice to become stronger."
Jin nodded, "Alright, I'll go see him. Thank you for your time."
