First encounter.

A sleek black sedan glided along the busy road, its tinted windows hiding the identity of the person inside.

Seated in the back seat, a man in a black suit stared out the window, his expression inscrutable.

The man watched the cityscape pass by, his mind racing with thoughts of what was to come.

He knew that his next move would be critical, and he had to be careful not to make any mistakes.

As the sedan pulled up to its destination, the man in the back seat took a deep breath, preparing himself for what was to come.

Stepping out of the car, he was met by a security guard who led him through a maze of hallways and finally to a large set of double doors.

The guard opened the doors, and the man was ushered into a room that was both luxurious and intimidating.

Davien walked into the rival company's headquarters with purpose and determination.

His eyes scanned the luxurious surroundings, taking in the grandeur and opulence of the space.

He knew he was here for business, and he wasn't going to let anything distract him from his goal.

He was ready to face his rival and make the deal of a lifetime.

When he saw a receptionist, he moved in her direction.

Davien exuded a cold aura that sent shivers down the spines of those around him.

As Davien approached the receptionist, his eyes glinted with an icy coldness. There was no hint of warmth or kindness in his gaze.

He exuded an aura of ruthlessness, like a snake slithering through the grass, ready to strike at any moment.

There was something dangerous about him, a hint of danger that made others feel uneasy in his presence.

"I want to speak with your CEO." Davien's tone was icy as he spoke.

The receptionist felt a shiver run down her spine at the sound of his voice.

There was something threatening in the way he spoke, like a thunderstorm looming on the horizon.

His words were like a command, leaving no room for argument. She could only nod her head and respond, "Of course, right this way."

The receptionist's steps were quick and light, but her mind was racing.

She had to keep her composure in front of this man, but inside, her heart was pounding.

As the receptionist's feet moved rapidly along the polished floor, her mind was racing even faster.

She tried to hide her fear behind a smile, but her trembling hands gave her away. She hoped he wouldn't notice, as she led him down the hallway to the CEO's office.

The receptionist couldn't stop thinking about how close she was to this dangerous man.

With each step, she felt more and more exposed, like a mouse being stalked by a predator.

Her heart was beating so fast, she could hardly breathe, but she forced herself to put on a calm, friendly smile, and to maintain her composure as they reached the CEO's office door.

She knocked, her hand trembling ever so slightly.

The receptionist took a deep breath and forced herself to speak. "Sir... There's someone here to see you," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.

She had been warned that CEO Davien would be arriving, but no one had prepared her for the chilling effect his presence had on her.

It was as if he had drained life from the air, leaving her feeling weak and afraid. She could only hope that her trembling voice didn't betray her fear.

"Let him in." From behind the door, the receptionist CEO could be overheard speaking.

The receptionist's heart leaped into her throat as she heard her CEO's deep voice from behind the door.

With trembling hands, she reached for the door handle and pushed it open.

Her company CEO was sitting behind his desk, an imposing figure with dark hair and even darker eyes.

He looked up as the receptionist ushered Davien into the room, his gaze settling on the visitor with an intensity that made the receptionist want to run and hide.

The CEO's eyes were like chips of ice, cold and calculating.

They seemed to see right through the receptionist, judging her and finding her lacking.

She felt small and insignificant in his presence, as if she were nothing more than a pawn in a game she didn't understand.

Davien's eyes, on the other hand, were like a frozen lake, still and serene on the surface, but with a deep and dark power hidden beneath.

They seemed to hold a silent threat, a promise of danger and violence.

"I came here to get the documents. Do you happen to have it?" CEO Davien inquired of CEO Ethan.

Ethan regarded Davien with a steely gaze, his face a mask of calm that belied the storm of emotions brewing within him.

He leaned back in his chair and replied, "I'm afraid I can't give you the files, CEO Davien. They're confidential, and I'm not authorized to release them."

Ethan's voice was low and even, but there was a hint of steel beneath the surface.

His voice was steady and controlled, but there was a hint of tension in his tone.

He didn't want to get on Davien's bad side, and he was careful not to antagonize Davien, but he wouldn't hand over the files.

He had a responsibility to his company, and he couldn't jeopardize that just because of one man's demands.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Davien," he went on to say, "But my hands are tied. I can't give you the files."

Ethan braced himself for the onslaught he knew was coming.

Davien was a powerful man, and he didn't take no for an answer.

Davien's face darkened as Ethan refused to hand over the files. He could feel his anger rising, like a wave building up to a violent storm.

He had come so far, and he wouldn't let some petty bureaucrat stand in his way.

"You don't understand what you're dealing with," Davien said, his voice low and dangerous. "You're making a big mistake."

Ethan remained calm in the face of Davien anger, his expression stony and unreadable.

He knew that he couldn't afford to show any weakness, no matter how much pressure Davien was putting on him.

"I understand exactly what I'm dealing with," he said, meeting Davien gaze head-on. "And I'm not going to compromise the company's integrity just to satisfy your demands."

The information in those files is too sensitive to be released.

The tension in the room was palpable, and the silence stretched on for what felt like an eternity.

Finally, Davien spoke again, his voice low and menacing. "Are you sure you want to play hardball with me?" he asked. "You simply don't know who you're dealing with." he added, his voice barely above a whisper.

Ethan held his ground, his heart racing as he stood his ground against the intimidating figure in front of him.

Finally, Davien turned and walked to the door, his footsteps echoing in the silent room.

He paused at the threshold, and without turning around, he said, "You'll regret this decision, Mr. Ethan. I promise you that."

With that, Davien walked away.

After Davien left, Ethan sank into his chair, his body trembling with adrenaline.

He took a few deep breaths to calm himself, but his mind was still racing.

Had he made the right decision? Would there be repercussions for defying Davien? And what if he was right? What if he regretted this choice?

He pushed the thoughts from his mind and tried to focus on the work in front of him but the echo of Davien parting words lingered in his mind, like a dark shadow he couldn't shake.

Meanwhile… As Davien stormed out of the office, his heart was pounding with rage.

He felt like a volcano on the verge of eruption, his emotions threatening to spill over at any moment.

He tried to focus on his breathing, but his anger was making it difficult to control his emotions.

With each step, he felt his fury building, until he collided with a fragile young lady who had stumbled towards the floor.

The young lady's eyes narrowed as she looked up at Davien, her expression turning to one of pure fury. "Watch it would you!" she spat, her voice shaking with rage.

Davien scuffed at the floor, an uncharacteristic smile playing across his lips.

He couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at seeing the young lady's face twisted in anger.

Her eyes were red and bloodshot, a clear sign of the fury that was coursing through her.

The tension in the company lobby was thick, and the silence was deafening.

The air was charged with unspoken words and unspoken emotions.

Davien knew he was the one at fault, but he couldn't bring himself to apologize. He was enjoying the moment too much.

"Cute." The word slipped out of Davien's mouth, before he could even think about what he was saying.

He had no idea why he had said it, or even what it meant in this context.

He doesn't know what the hell has gotten into him, but his mouth was currently moving of its own accord.

He could only watch in horror as the young lady's face registered shock, and then anger.

"What did you just say?" she demanded, her eyes blazing. "What the hell is wrong with you?" She asked, clenching her fist.

Did she intend to start a fight?
