After they killed Nito, Adrian knew that the bones of Nito might have some use. Dead or not the bones of what can be called a powerful lich would be good catalysts. He stored them away and picked up the curved sword of Nito.
He was not going to use it as he had his trusty weapons so he looked around to see if anyone wanted it.
"Her Seraphine, you want it?"
She shook her head as she already had two greatswords. Changing to a great curved sword style would be annoying so she rather not bother.
"No, not really. I would have to change my fighting style to suit it so I will stick with my two Black knight Greatswords."
He looked at everyone else to make sure if they wanted, but it seemed it was a no.
"Well, I will take. More weapons for the wall."
As she did not want it he decided to just keep it in his inventory with the rest of his collection. No one minded as it was just going to be placed on his wall or something.
He did like to collect things so it was just what they expected. They all jumped back into the hole in the ceiling which made things than in the game. A good thing was that they had already killed everything and no one had rested at a bonfire yet.
Which meant the way out was going to be clear of enemies for a little while. As they walked out, Priscilla walked next to Adrian as she wanted to ask him something.
"Uncle, what will we do after the fire goes out? What will happen to us?"
Everyone listen in as they wanted the answer to this very question. They got so used to being in a world with sunlight that imagining a world without was scary. Adrian saw that they wanted his truthful answer and he decided to give it to them.
"We are going to be leaving this world to a better one. After the world goes dark it will be better to let the age of dark come and go when the next fire emerges. Just as the cycle should be."
Seraphine, August, Solaire, and Sif all knew about other worlds as he had explained about Khorne. However, Artorias and Ciaran were first hearing about this so they looked at them for an explanation.
August was the one who started the explanation as he had made a few theories from what Adrian had told him.
"Well, you see how the captain is alive right? Well, he should not be as he was killed by Ornstein in the betrayal. We Lords cannot become undead or resurrect, but look what happened. A foreign god of great power brought him back to life."
Adrian nodded.
"I explained about how Khorne and I serve the same master correct? Well, let's just say that her realm of influence is beyond what I can comprehend. She is crazy strong that she can send me to other worlds and universes."
Ciaran looked at his face which was full of seriousness. He was normally confident, but against that goddess, he had no such confidence. Just her voice nearly destroyed his soul and if he was right she went easy on him.
Adrian shook his head as he felt his head ring from remembering the primordial tongue as she called it. He wondered if she was some kind of eldritch being given physical form which would make sense to him.
He looked up at everyone and thumped his chest to snap out of it.
"Well, it is not all bad. She could treat me like a slave if she wanted to, but she is pretty hands-off. We should pick this conversation up a later, it will be a lot to talk about."
They all nodded as they were very much interested in this goddess. The way up was just as they expected and they ran into Harold's team who was talking to Vamos who was not happy with them.
He wanted to work undisturbed, but they wanted to recruit him. Adrian listen to the conversation as it sounded interesting.
"Off with you, I am not interested."
Harold was not one to give up as he patted him on the bony shoulder.
"You are a fire blacksmith are you not? What is better than working with the flames of a real Everlasting Dragon."
That seemed to get his attention as Vamos glanced at him. He wanted to believe it, but he shook off the thought as they were all dead.
"You lying nit, they all died out. Why did I even believe it for a second?"
He got back to hammering at a sword, but Harold was confident.
"There is one left you know. Her name is Amara and she is flying around outside. The size of a mountain and had flames hot enough to melt nearly anything."
Vamos stopped hammering as he crossed his arms.
"Oh, the size of a mountain is she. Well got any proof?"
Harold nodded as he pointed at the ceiling.
"Well, you would have to see her yourself. Not like I got one of her scales."
Adrian walked toward Vamos which made Harold smile.
"Captain, tell him about Amara. Prove me right."
Adrian glanced at Vamos and nodded.
"Well, you would have to see her to believe it. I could have her dig her way down here, but we would all be buried in the rubble if I did that."
Vamos got up and shook his head.
"Fine, I will follow you annoying bastards to see this magical Everlasting Dragon. If she is fake I expect some compensation."
Adrian had 5 million souls so he bought a 4 million soul worth Dragon Flame Core which he was going to use for his pyromancy flame anyway. When he brought out the extremely large core it erupted in scorching heat that drew the attention of Vamos.
As a fire blacksmith, he was very interested in the core to improve his work. The Fume Knights and everyone else looked at the large burning core with interest as they got used to his ability to make things.
"Fine, I will give you this if my Amara is fake. If I am right you work for me. Deal?"
Vamos nearly grinned as he felt he won a great new forge core.
"Deal, better be ready to part with that beautiful thing."
Adrian put it back in his inventory for later as he knew he was going to win. Everyone in his team knew he was going to win so he kind of scammed Vamos. It was a bet he had no chance of winning, but they did not say a thing about it.
They all began to leave, but they still had the rest of the Fume Knights. Good thing they had Sif with them as the wolf led them right to the rest of them who were beating up Patches.
He was rolled on the ground as they kicked and punched at him as they were quite mad. He had flipped the lever on them and caused them trouble. Adrian whistled at them to stop so they stopped beating the undead.
"You are Patches, right? Got what you deserve."
The bruised and beaten undead wiped the blood from his lips while looking quite livid. He drank some estus and healed his injuries, but did not get up. He was not ready to get beaten up by 5 Fume Knights.
"Yeah, I am. These savages assaulted me."
Servin scoffed at him as he pointed his great curved sword at his face.
"You pulled a switch on us. Don't put this on us you prick."
Garold, Harold's twin brother had to agree with him. He looked just like his brother only that he had a scar running from his lip to his eye. It would never heal as certain weapons and foes prevented magical healing
"Captain, this fucker nearly killed us. What if that bridge had been a lethal drop? I mean we would come back, but still."
Adrian looked at patches and crossed his arms.
"So you messed with my knights and nearly killed them. I am owed compensation Patches. Either that or I take your head."
Seeing how he was surrounded and these guys were not suckers he decided to act. He fell to the floor and hugged Adrian's leg.
"NOO! I am sorry, I am a poor wanderer. I just wanted to help them."
Adrian kicked him off the ledge which was not lethal, as he did not want to bother with him.
"I forgive you. Now bye. Let's go peaple."
The Fume Knights all laughed at how ruthless their captain could be. They continued on out of the catacombs to the scorched earth so Vamos looked around for Amara. Seeing no dragon made him grin from ear to ear.
He reached out to Adrian with a huff in his voice.
"I win." Hand her over."
Adrian shook his head as he smirked.
"No, I win."
He brought his fingers to his mouth and whistled. Vamos looked around and did not see anything so he thought Adrian was just bluffing. How wrong he was as he suddenly heard an ear-shattering roar making him look toward it.
When he laid eyes on the flying mountain heading toward him he fell to his knees with awe. Amara began to circle around Fire Link shrine looking for a way to get her master. The easiest way she found was to dangle her tail for them to climb up.
August patted Vamos on the shoulder and chuckled.
"Word of advice, never gamble with the captain. Welcome to the team."
Priscilla smiled at her and looked up at Amara.
"She is really beautiful, isn't she? Just don't make her mad."
Vamos got up and grabbed Adrian's hand.
"How strong are her flames really?"
"Strong enough."
Adrian started to climb up her tail until he reached her back. The rest all did the same and as Vamos has stored all his gear he did the same. Once they were all on her back she started flying toward Anor Londo.
On the way back Vamos kept knocking on her scales which were not just regular stone. It was much stronger than rock or even metal which made him interested in them. On the way back Seraphien and Priscilla were sitting on Amara's head with Adrian.
He wrapped his arms around both of them as he enjoyed the crappy scenery.
"Well, we will be busy soon. The world I am taking us is not safe at all. I say the danger will be quite high."
"How dangerous uncle?"
He thought about how to answer that question so he thought of Great Red. He was about 100 meters long which was about the same size as Amara. If anything she was just a little bigger so he explained about him.
"Well, there is this dragon in that world that is crazy strong. He is known as Great Red the dragon of dreams. In terms of power if he wanted to he could destroy the world as many times as he wanted."
They both thought he was exaggerating, but he was not. Even a dragon on the level of Draig could destroy the world with pure strength at its peak so what about a dragon god.
"I am not kidding, he is that strong."
Seraphine asked the important question.
"Do you think you can tame it?"
He shook his head.
"At my current strength, not at all. One day in the future definitely."
As long as that was his answer it was fine with her. As flying on Amara never lasted they arrived back at Anor Londo in just a few minutes. Outside of the city were Devastator, Scorn, and Russ who had brought back the Knights of the Lake.
They did not enter the main city and had set up a small tent city as a base as at the moment the city was once again full of danger. Amara landed away from the tents so she would not have to crush anyone or send them flying.
Seeing that they were home everyone got off Amara so she could rest. Adrian looked into her eyes and smiled.
"What would I do without you?"
She gently nudged him before she walked away to find a comfy place to sleep. One thing was that she loved to sleep like most dragons. When Adrian saw Theobald the knight looked to be doing well.
It seemed he had lost a few knights, but it seemed he hydra did them good. Less than he expected died so he was interested if they could eat the meat of Seath. Call him cruel, but he rather not try it on himself or group.
"Captain Theobald, I am glad to see you in good health."
Theobald could barely contain his fanboy as he saw that there were more Fume Knights. He kneeled at Adrian's feet and nodded.
"It is an honor to be at your service my lord."
Adrian helped him stand and decided to offer him the same job as before.
"Well captain, I am in need of many hands to take apart giant creatures. I would like your knights to work for me in this regard. You shall receive your pay in weapons, armor, and some of the meat. Is this a good offer?"
To him, it was perfect as much of their gear needed repair or replacement. Not to mention that he could be away from the battlefield and lose fewer knights.
"You can count on us, my lord."
Now that he had a large number of workers it was time he could focus on farming. He left the body for Seath and they entered Anor Londo to get rid of the giants and Silver Knights. it would not be the last, but for now, it was enough.
They were just learning the way so they could relax for a while.
Maybe Next month I will have a Patr*on. It won't happen soon, but I will begin to stockpile chapters so only 1 a day from now on.
