Chapter Twenty

Michael's POV (Cambry's dad):

As my daughter sped out of our house, I felt a weird feeling in my heart but disregarded it as I caught sight of my wife.

"What is wrong with you?" She asks, I could see the anger in her eyes.

"I know what's best for her-" She cuts me off.

"No, you think it's best for her, but you're wrong," She tells me, shockingly. She usually always encourages my decisions or just goes with them. "I'm not letting you send our little girl, who isn't so little anymore, away." She tells me. "She doesn't deserve someone like you to be her father. I wish you would look back in the past and see how close you guys were when she was little," She reminds me. "You two were inseparable, but since you began working on your own, you never have any time for either of us and you've been making very rash decisions." She says. "I don't want to see you until the Michael I know and love is back," She says before angrily walking away. Before she got too far, I took her hand.
