Chapter 1- Dark Energy

"Okay, you should know there is no backing off after you accepted" Said Black Skull as a flame in his eyes reverted to green.

"Oh, and what will happen if back off right now." Asked Alex.

"I think you are smart enough to know." Answered Black Skull.

"So, could you explain to me what am I supposed to do, how to play this 'game', and give pieces of information and power you promised."

"Okay, by tradition, I need to tell you first the history of the 'game', why are you chosen, and after that everything else."

"Oh, you said by tradition, so it means that this game was already played before?" Asked Alexa a little bit surprised.

"Yes, you are right, until now, this game was played 12 times, and the purpose of the game is to kill current Death and become a new one."

"So, how many Deaths were in total in history?" Asked Alex.

"Oh, I thought that you would ask first: "Why would Death sent his subordinate ask someone to kill him?", or something like that"

"Well, I came to an understanding that there must be either something that is bounding him, or he is either self-confident."

"Well, it's actually a kind of both, but you will naturally learn about it as you climb to the peak." Said Black Skull as the green light in his eye pockets started to diminish. "We don't have much time, we should finish this as fast as we can." Said Black Skull hurriedly.

I just nodded at that.

"Until now there have been 3 Deaths, Death is not a title of a person, it's the title of Sovereign, something like King or Emperor. You know that Energy Control is so explored that there are more that there are millions of ways to control Energy. It's publicly known that there are 32 types of Energies, for example, the most common and known Essence Energy that Mages use - Five Elements Energy. The power I will 'give' you are not exactly a power, It's also a sort of energy that is called Dark Energy, I will unblock blockades in your Soul so you can store Dark Energy in it until you are experienced enough to store it in your body or to make Energy Crystal or Energy Dimension with it. So now why are you chosen, to understand that you need to know that not everyone can wield Dark Power. Only the Souls which were never reincarnated. We call them 'New Souls', when someone dies they will go to through reincarnation, but, sometimes very rarely, a soul can be created within the body, and because it's a practically a new soul and it's its first body we call them 'New souls' and you are one of them. So you must be thinking now, why do I need to have a

'New Soul' to wield Dark Energy, that's because you want to control Dark Energy, the soul need to have 100% compatibility with the body, and only 'New Souls' can achieve that because they were bred within their bodies.", "Now about your White Eyes, I don't know what are they, but, they seem to have some terrifying power surrounding them, even I fell a little intimidated by them, if you want I can help you to activate them, but, there is a high possibility of dying, now the only things that are left are your origin and information about why are you so talentless."

"About your origins, I need to confirm something, can you give me the paper in your pocket." Asked Black Skull hurriedly as the light in his eye sockets diminished even more.

"How did you kn-"

"Hurry up we don't have much time!" Interrupted Black Skull.

Even before Alex could take the paper out it already started flying toward Black Skull.

"Yeah, this paper seems to be from 'That Family', look I can't tell you where are you for, but, I can tell you that you really have terrifying orig-" And then he suddenly stopped talking. "Wait, White Eyes and 'That Family' " Murmured Black Skull under his breath and then looked at Alex with a look of a terrified person. After that, he quickly regained his composure and said. "What pity you have 'White Eyes' and 'New Soul' that's one of the worst possible combinations."

Said Black Skull with obvious pity in his voice.

"Can you tell me what are these Eyes!" Said Alex while pointing at his Eyes.

"It's not up to me, you will understand when you awaken them." Answered Black Skull.

"Now to the only thing that remained to be told is what are you so talentless, this one is actually pretty easy, talent represents the soul remembering last life activities and those last life activities are called [Soul Memories] and because you are 'New Soul' you practically don't have any [Soul Memories], for example, if you were to train Energy Control your whole life, in the next life you would surely have talent in Energy Control above average."

"So it's like that." Murmured Alex.

"Now, I have two propositions for you." Said Black Skull. Green Fires in his eyes sockets are practically wisps now.

"Do you want me to help you awaken your eyes?"
