The only way to really help would be to survive and eradicate all the zombies and beasts from the earth…
"Are you okay?" A familiar soft, yet indifferent voice suddenly drifted into his ears, jolting him out of his thoughts.
"I'm fine…" Blake mumbled with a wry smile, before leaning his head back on the wall.
Aria's eyes squinted slightly at his words, and a strange glint flashed through her eyes, but Blake didn't notice.
Meanwhile, Shane continued questioning the black haired woman, who said she was a doctor, asking her if she knew where they could get any of the drugs she said Daisy needed.
"So this pharmacy… where is it?" Shane asked, with a weird glint in his eyes.
According to the woman, she used to work in a pharmacy not too far from where, which was sure to contain the drugs and pills Daisy would need to get better.
"It's about three streets away from here… b-but it's filled w-with those m-monsters…" She mumbled, her voice slowly breaking and her body shivering in fear.
A frown appeared on Shane's face, but it was only for a moment before it disappeared. "We still have to go there… we can't just stay holed up here… it's not like we have a choice."
He looked back at Blake, and then the rest of the people in the room, before continuing. "We are going out to get food.. going outside… into the streets filled with zombies and beasts, it's not a must you come with us, so you can stay behind if you want."
The moment he spoke, beads of sweat appeared on the faces of most of the refugees, and they started looking at each other, as if waiting for who would speak first.
"I-i think… I would rather s-stay here… those m-monsters… are everywhere…" A tall man with short, spiky black hair, said, before turning his head to the ground, his whole body shaking in fear.
Most of the other refugees in the warehouse also agreed with his words, each time them mumbled in fear about how terrifying the zombies and beasts outside were, and how scared they were for their lives.
"I'll go." Blake suddenly said, silencing all the other survivors, and causing all the their gazes to turn to him.
'There still zombies out there…' He thought, with his brows furrowed in determination.
Puck face squeezed into a deep frown when he notified the look in Blake's eyes, and he scoffed before turning away.
Aria who stood beside him also nodded her head, indicating that she would also go outside to get food and drugs.
"All we have to do is get enough to last us for about four to five days, and the government should come rescue us before then." Aria said, in an indifferent tone.
"The government… huh?" Shane mumbled, with a strange expression on his face. However, it only took a second before his face returned to its usual cheerful one.
"What about you…?" Shane asked, turning to the father of the sick girl. "You're her father aren't you?"
"I-I… can't come… with you…" The man said with gritted teeth, before turning his head to the ground in shame.
Most were surprised by the man's words, after all, it was his daughter the drugs were needed for.
One would expect that he would be the most eager to leave the warehouse, so his words came as quite a shock, even to Shane.
However, Shane didn't say anything, and accepted his decision to remain in the building.
As for the man, he bent his head down in shame, clenching his fists tightly to the point that his knuckles turned pale.
He wanted to say he would come with them… but remembering how powerful those monsters were, he didn't think he stood a chance against them.
'They're already going to get it… doesn't matter whether I go with them… she'll be fine…' He mumbled, not caring too much about how shameful his actions were, simply grateful that he wouldn't have to face those beasts.
"Tsk…" Puck suddenly clicked his tongue, breaking the weird silence that was in the room.
"Bunch of cowards…" He muttered, but everyone still heard his words clearly. His words caused them to bury their faces to the ground in shame… knowing fully well that he was right, but still, their fear for the monsters outside were greater, and Puck's words didn't change their mind.
The blonde haired man slowly stood up, rolling the pair of axes in his hands, before staring back at Shane with a smirk on his face.
"Fine then. Let's go Shane… I'm feeling pumped up to hack up some monsters." He said, the smirk on his face widening.
The eyes of eveyeone in the warehouse turned to him, finding his words weird. Rather than being afraid of the monsters outside, it seemed more like he was excited to face them.

A few minutes later, Shane placed his hand in front of the metal door of the warehouse, before turning towards Blake, Aria and Puck who stood a step behind him.
The abandoned warehouse had a double door, and it was supported by three thick iron rods that acted as a barricade, and a few heavy objects to prevent zombies and monsters from smashing into the warehouse from outside.
The rods and heavy objects were materials they found lying around in the warehouse, and they used them to offer themselves an extra layer of protection.
During the last few minutes, they went over their plans, and how they would get the foodstuffs and drugs from outside.
The sky had already brightened up, and the rain stopped some minutes back, so it was now relatively okay to leave the building.
After removing all the obstructions in front of the door, Shane turned back to the trio behind him, his gaze focusing on Blake especially.
"I don't think I need to say this. But… be careful." He said, before finally opening the door, stepping out of the warehouse, with Blake and Aria following behind him.
Puck stared back at Patricia one last time.
She had chosen to remain in the warehouse. According to her, she wanted to stay with Daisy, and keep healing her in case anything happened.
The brown haired woman simply nodded, before turning her head to the ground, with a strange expression on her face.
The other refugees looked on at the door as they watched the group step out, with fear in their eyes.
As soon as the door shut, they all hurried towards it, securing the thick iron poles in the handle and barricading the door again.
The door also had a large rectangular peephole, so all Blake and the others had to do was knock, and if they check through the hole and confirm that it was them, they would open the door.

The moment they stepped out of the warehouse, Blake sucked in a cold breath, as he felt the chill air of the evening hit him.
Standing outside like this… feeling the cold breeze, and remembering the kind of state the world was in now, made his heart pound faster.
Though he didn't like to admit it, he felt a little scared.
He took in a deep breadth, reminding himself about the reason they all came outside. He knew he couldn't let fear get to him now… he had to get drugs for Daisy.
Just the thought of how much pain she was in, gave him all the motivation he needed.
However, just as he was about to move forward, he suddenly felt a thick hand grab his shoulder.
"Huh?" Blake quickly turned around, only to be surprised to see that it was Shane holding on to his shoulder, however, what shocked him the most were the man's words.
