Obsession (5)

August 4th, 2018.

It was raining heavily that day. George had bought a new car so he invited Nathalie and some of the neighbours for the party in evening.

16:15 (6:15 p.m)

Nathalie went to his apartment room for the party. As she entered his room she saw all kinds of food and drinks. There were some neighbors drinking wine with George. He glanced at her and told her to come and sit on the sofa. After some time he greeted her and gave her some pastry and soft drink to eat.

October 11th, 2018.

1:12 (1:12 a.m)

Sasha came out of the bathroom after she didn't hard any news from Nathalie for a long time. When she reached their bedroom, she wasn't there. Because of all the things that had been happening. Sasha became quite paranoid after the sudden disappearance or Nathalie.

She grabbed her phone quickly dialed 911.

The room where Nathalie was kept for the time being was very dark. No lights were on and only a candle burnt in the whole room.

She slowly opened her and was rather confused as to what had happened?

A dark figure came to her and sits just infront of her, but because of all the darkness and limited lighting, she couldn't see his face clearly.

"Hi! I have already killed your boyfriend, Joshua. After I stabbed him in the restroom of the restaurant I made sure he was completely dead by cutting each of his body parts... You won't believe the face he made when all of that was happening. As you know humans show all their emotions when they are on the verge of death. He was...similing and happy. I wonder why? As to why I am doing this to all of you then...it is just my hobby. Freeing those who are suffering and turning their last moments into a novel of mine so that other people can know of their existence; such a good person I am! Now tell me...why should I let you live? I am a quite generous person so i will let you free if you answer me that question."

"P-Please let me live!"

"Ok since you are a nice girl and pretty rational, I will give you another chance. Why should I let you live?"

"..." She took a deep breath and continued, "...I am the only child of my parents. They expect a lot from me. My aim was to become a pretty famous lawyer, but I guess it won't happen now."

"Hey hey, it is getting boring. You are also giving the wrong answer I can feel it!

You should let all your emotions holding yourself back and then answer again....

Are you tired from living?"

She tried having a nicer look of the person but couldn't. After contemplating about what he had just said, she suddenly came to a conclusion. "... honestly now that I think about it, I am not a very good person myself. When I first met Sasha, I was quite jealous of her. She aced in all the subjects and was very social; she became everyone's talk. I started spreading rumors that her father was an alcoholic and her mother worked as a prostitute in a club, etc. But she still became my friend. I wonder why? Even Joshua I somewhat feel like he hides everything from me. Well I have to I also feel like that I am a gold digger. Even when his family and Joshua himself was so rich, he could not even take me with a car. I heard that he used to take his BMW to drag races."

He clapped his hands and answered her, "This is just human nature, so you are not at fault. I also like this villainous type of you. You will be a great character in my novel."

He freed her hands and gave her a knife.

"Now use the knife to stab your hands."

"D-Didn't you say that you would let me live?"

"Live? Aren't you a bad person. What are you going to do if I let you live? Make others life miserable? See if you do it by yourself now, no one will ever know your secrets. They would only think that I did it. It is a rational and safe decision. Take the knife and cut her own body...to pieces."

At that time it was not sure what she had thought, but she took the knife and stabbed her hands while laughing in a creepy manner. She cut each of her fingers off and at last stabbed the knife right in the middle of her neck. Though she died a miserable death, a smile could be seen in her face, like she was happy leaving the world behind.

The cops arrived and looked at everyone's room. As they entered the room just beside her room, they found Nathalie dead with a knife stabbed in her neck. But she was smiling happily.

"Such a case!" The officer thought as he saw a page where all her bad doings were written by her own hands in her last moments in a shaky handwriting.

After some search in the room, the cops found many pictures of Nathalie hanged on the wall. There were even explicit pictures of her on the desk.

The investigation went on for a month but no lead regarding the culprit was found. The university held a mourning ceremony for Nathalie and Joshua in their remembrance.

Soon the classes resumed.

But Sasha was still not able to recover from the incident.

One day Mr Nelson approached her while she was in the library. It was a raining heavily that day.

"Sasha."

She glanced at him and stood up, "Yes Mr Nelson!"

"I know you are still not feeling well from Nathalie and Joshua's passing, so I personally wrote a book which could help you recover from that. We don't want you to stop your studies, you are a bright student."

"Thank you Mr Nelson. I will be sure to check it out."

After giving her the book he left the library.

She looked at the title of the book which appealed her, "A Dim Diamond! He sure takes interesting names for his books."

After the classes she headed back to her apartment room, but on her way back she decided to stop by a café. By the time she got out of the café and headed back to her room, she felt like someone was following her. She walked fast and dialed 911.

The alleyway was not so bright that day because of the rain.

She glanced at the alleyway and saw George.

"You! Aren't you the friend of Nathalie? I lost my sweetheart because of you and that bastard teacher. I will kill you!" He charged at her with a knife and stabbed in her abdomen.

"I don't care if I get caught and sent to prison. I will make sure to kill you and that bastard teacher!"

Before he could take out the knife and stab her continuously the police sirens could be heard.

"George Hutchinson. Surrender yourself and don't make me shoot you."

He laughed. "Officer why won't you arrest the one who killed my sweetheart."

"Shut up and put your hands up!"

As the cops handcuffed him he saw Mr Nelson sitting in the car.

"Even if you die today, I will wait for you in hell." He told Sasha as he was taken by the police.

The ambulance came and took her to the hospital. After an emergency operation, her life was saved.
