Dark Hero in Tate no Yuusha

Vishwa found himself reborn in an anime world known as "The Rising of the Shield Hero" as a Morsan. At the tender age of six, he was bestowed with a cursed weapon called the Great Sword Tizona, a weapon of legendary status crafted by unknown beings. Due to his deep-rooted mistrust in others and the fear of meeting the same fate as his father, who was betrayed by his supposed friends, Vishwa chose to live as a lone wolf. As he grew stronger, he formed a team of slaves to accompany him and together they embarked on a journey to slay ferocious beasts. Along the way, he even lent a helping hand to the shield hero. *** Author's Note: I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my initial Fanfic with all of you, as it marks the beginning of my journey towards becoming a proficient writer. Talking Sword(1)

[ [Blood Carnival]: Sacrificial ritual magic used for offering tremendous blood to ??? to break the curse.]

"Mm?.. question marks?! do I need to level up to see more details?!... Tsk... but, as I thought, this cursed sword wants me to offer blood to someone else or its real self...? *sigh* not enough information I guess... I don't know anything but it's type.. it's a sacrifice class spell."

There are non-standard tiers of magic that are not typically accessible to normal people, these include sacrifice-class and Liberation-class.

Sacrifice class spells provide great power in exchange for a great cost. This class of spell utilizes Way of the Dragon Vein magic to power the spell with the targets' life force.

He deduced a lot of information about the cursed sword except how to summon it.

Next, he caught one of the flies that roamed around him for his blood and tried to put it into his inventory.

[-Notice-

Living things cannot be stored in inventory...]

'Yep.. it doesn't work.. then..'

He squished that fly in his hand and killed it. Now he can put it into inventory without any resistance. That tiny corpse of the fly is placed in the very first slot of his inventory.

He didn't get any EXP since it doesn't even possess the minimum requirement magic power to be considered a monster.

Only animals with sufficient magic power, monsters, and.... humans would give you EXP points when they were killed.

His lips curved into a smile since he could hunt more monsters without worrying about the transportation of his loot anymore.

'Thank goodness... next i- huh?!'

[-Notice-

The corpse of a certain creature has been found in your inventory...

Analyzing its value...

Worthless...

It can't be sold for shop points...]

"So, that's how it is?! The shop function will automatically analyze the value of every item I put in my inventory, and I can trade them for shop points based on that value?!... that's dope. So how does it determine the value of things? based on rarity? quality? or usage?"

The more he thinks, the more conclusions he gets. But none of them gave a satisfactory answer.

"...I will find this out later.. now..."

He tore some part of his cloth and lit up a fire on it using a candle flame. Without giving a time to completely burn out, he stored it in his inventory.

A few minutes later, he took it out again. Instead of burning the remaining ashes, he got the burning cloth just as he stored it.

"It seems like a time has been stopped inside my inventory... haha, with this, I don't need to worry about corpse rotting... I guess.."

He is currently trying his best to prevent himself from jumping around his room in excitement.

Now all left is, how to find his cursed weapon.

"Where is that cursed thing anyway?!..."

A frustrated grunt came out of his mouth.

As he pondered over, a certain voice flowed into his head.

"Are you searching for me?"

It was a husky male voice, that appeared through something like telepathy.

"Whoa!!.... What the..."

He was dumbfounded by its sudden voice.

Goosebumps welled up all over his body. Even though he was sure he didn't hear any sound from his surroundings, he heard the voice of someone directly inside his head. It felt too creepy and terrifying for him. Far from caring about his reaction, it continued to talk.

"What do you mean by a cursed thing? Are you talking about me?"

'...T-this voice!!...is it belongs to that sword?! it can talk?! I'd only heard of a talking sword in a fiction... w-wait... a soul. It mentioned something about the soul of a barbarian king trapped inside the sword...'

"You guessed that right boy! I'm Tizona, nice to meet you Morsan, I hope we get along well from now on.."

"Y-you can even read my mind?!"

"Yep.."

His mind went blank for a second.

"N-nice to meet you, sir. M-may I ask where you are?"

Morsan immediately changed his attitude and made his sound to be respectful as possible as he asked his question. He didn't want to get the bad side of some cursed object which can suck his life energy.

"Awww! how polite of you!!.. I can't believe you are the same kid who cursed me a few moments ago."

"H-hahaha is that so?"

He couldn't help but laugh wearily without saying anything, since sometimes silence would be better than answering unprepared questions, especially to someone who can read his mind.

Somehow it thinks he was a kid. So, he was trying to act like a child of his age.

"Since our souls are bound to each other, I reside in your soul sea. If you want to summon my physical form, hold your right arm and call my name."

Even though he didn't know what it meant by soul sea, he got more of a picture of what he had to do.

"*Gulp* your name?!"

"Just as your status mentioned, call me as Tizona."

With some hesitations, Morsan held out his right hand and recited its name.

"Tizona"

He felt a sensation like blood pooling in the back of his right hand, and a dark red scratch mark appeared from nowhere illuminating the whole room with a deep red color. As if the blood from the back of his hand extruded through his palm, Great Sword Tizona manifested itself in his hand.

It was half of meter longer than Morsan, he was holding it and could see it up close, but he wasn't sure whether it was a sword.

Although it was in the right shape, it was worn and blackened all over, with chips here and there along the edges of the blade. It didn't look capable of cutting anything and the more he examined, the more he saw nicks and dents in the flat of the blade as well. There were barely any even areas along its sizable length.

In short, it was more of a flat lump of metal than a sword.

When he thought about its condition, he heard an angry voice inside his head.

"Boy!!! Are you looking down on me?!"
