Dark Hero in Tate no Yuusha

Vishwa found himself reborn in an anime world known as "The Rising of the Shield Hero" as a Morsan. At the tender age of six, he was bestowed with a cursed weapon called the Great Sword Tizona, a weapon of legendary status crafted by unknown beings. Due to his deep-rooted mistrust in others and the fear of meeting the same fate as his father, who was betrayed by his supposed friends, Vishwa chose to live as a lone wolf. As he grew stronger, he formed a team of slaves to accompany him and together they embarked on a journey to slay ferocious beasts. Along the way, he even lent a helping hand to the shield hero. *** Author's Note: I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my initial Fanfic with all of you, as it marks the beginning of my journey towards becoming a proficient writer. Returned to Castle Town

Morsan was examining his third skill tree related to Tizona when he noticed that it was filled with many unknown names of different monsters and their extracted bloodline percentages. He searched the list for familiar names of creatures, but he couldn't find any, not even Usapils, despite being sure that he had already killed a lot of them. He concluded that these monsters had different names than what he had previously known.

Morsan shifted his attention to the bottom of the status page, and then to the arrow that led to the next panel, where he saw his inventory. He ignored the details of the monsters for the moment, as he planned to ask Tizona about them later. He suddenly stopped in his tracks when he noticed that his inventory was full of orderly arranged monster corpses, taking up almost all of the 997 square meters of space. Only the first two slots were used for his daily necessities and money.

"You're the one who killed all of these monsters.." he heard Tizona's voice in his head before he could ask anything.

Morsan realized that he had gained extensive experience points in just three days of leveling up due to the number of monsters he had killed. He wondered whether he would have to face that "guy" again when he used his [Blood Carnival] skill in the future.

"You won't see him again, since his soul fragment diminished after using up all of its energy but its mana remains, so you need to prepare for Mana corruption. Rest assured you have more than three months to prepare."

Morsan was relieved that he would have more than three months to conduct the next sacrificial ritual. Tizona explained that although his soul fragment was diminished, he would not have to face the person responsible for it again. However, he would experience Mana Corruption whenever he performed the ritual because the person's Mana remained in that place. Morsan was concerned about losing his mind every time he performed the ritual, but Tizona assured him that the corruption he would face was not as strong as the one he had already faced. Tizona promised to train him to overcome this problem before the next deadline for ritual magic. Morsan was grateful for the extra time he had gained by outperforming Tizona's expectations.

While on their way to the southern gate of Castle Town, Tizona recounted the events that had occurred when Morsan got stuck in a strange space. Morsan understood everything after hearing Tizona's explanation. He realized that the shadow figures of people he hated were the monsters he had faced in the real world. The metallic sound he heard during the fight was the notification sound of his leveling up.

Morsan chuckled wearily when Tizona said that he was lucky in the past three days. Tizona explained that if he had encountered any high-level monster with a non-physical form or any human who had seen his berserk state with a cursed sword in his hand, he would have died long ago. Monsters like soul eaters were the perfect counter for Tizona's [Life Exchange] skill. If any human had seen Morsan in his berserk state, they would have called for the church.

In the worst-case scenario, they could have sent their high-level executioner to investigate Morsan, which would have made his life more difficult than before.

Morsan arrived at the gate of Castle Town after walking for long hours from Usapil's territory. The familiar peace of the town put his mind at ease. However, before entering, he took out a sack bag from his inventory. Inside it were some eggshells and Usapil corpses. He did this to avoid suspicion of his three-day disappearance. Even though he only wanted to go straight to his room and sleep, he made sure to bring proof, if someone might ask any questions about his disappearance. He mocked himself for thinking anyone would worry about his absence.

As he was about to enter, a pair of guards he recognized stopped him. They seemed happy but frowned when they saw Morsan's face. Without any questions, they gestured for him to follow them. Despite being exhausted, he complied. After a while, they took him to a man in a priest's uniform who examined him for any problems. Once they were sure he wasn't cursed or contagious, they asked about his three-day absence. Morsan somehow convinced them that he spent his time leveling up. He showed them the bag of monster corpses as proof.

Finally, after the examination, they let him go free. One of the guards even paid for his physical examination, which Morsan offered to pay back but the guard refused. They seemed genuinely worried about his disappearance. They urged him to visit the herbal store and Leinny's store after he rested. Apparently, both shop owners had requested the guards to search for Morsan several times over the past two days. When they saw he was too tired, they offered to help him transport 15 Usapil corpses from him to Lienny's shop. When he goes to Leinny's shop, he can collect his money directly from him.

"Be more careful next time, you are still too young to worry about money..."

His lips curved up and formed a gentle smile as he bid his farewell to them. He thanked them sincerely.

"Both of them seem to be nice guy, you should have at least asked their names..."

Morsan nodded his head as he walked towards the inn where he was staying, a lot of people took a look at him while they passed by. His half-naked attire and black bagged eyes were also one of the factors for their look.

When he arrived at the inn, he was stopped by the innkeeper, and the same process as before was repeated once more. After he talked with him for a while, he went to his room. He heard a lot of whispers on the way.

Finally, he threw his body into the thing he called bed after he put his things in the room.
