CHAPTER 4: REAL TROUBLE 2

"They were supposed to Mr. Adiel but the case was passed here."

"It seems to be something that they can't handle."

They arrived at Kleins office and the human was left outside. But on arrival Adiel noticed that he was alone in the office and looked at Klein with a confused look.

"Why I'm I here again?"

"You've already been briefed about what is going on there seems to be an imposter in the Devon department they are trying to dig out the truth." Klein explained to him.

Adiel already knew that they were going to be dispersed but not this soon.

"If the imposter has been trying to uncover the truth then we will be in a huge mess." Adiel reasoned.

Adiel was sent to that department to find out who it was. 'The vampire hunters have decided to give us a hard time.' Adiel thought to himself.

"That can't be the reason you called me here."

'This kid is smart, this mission suits him perfectly.' Klein thought to himself.

"That's not the real trouble." Klein's face suddenly became serious void of any emotions. "Aqua is the real trouble." Adiel didn't need to be told twice to grasp what Klein was talking about.

Aqua closed her eyes as she submerged herself in the healing bath. This was the fastest way to heal wounds but also the most painful method. She started feeling as though her muscles were being stretched out in all the four angles.

Her face contoured in pain as her wounds started healing. Jade stared at her as she left the bath her clothes sticking close to her body.Aqua could still feel her skin itching and she twitched her nose because of feeling uncomfortable.

"Were you able to find anything about the past?" The frown formed on Aqua's face told everything.

"I haven't found a thing that could lead me to a clue at least all I'm doing is going round and round to a dead end."

"Don't worry, you might find a clue." Aqua forced a smile on her lips that didn't quite reach her eyes.

"The hunters are not taking in captives, they are killing all vampires that they come across." Aqua tried changing the subject.

"But if word falls to the other civilians it won't be well to other creatures as well. "

Aqua entered the showers right across the bath carrying the clothes that Jade had carried along for her. Jade left to finish all the other work that were waiting for her. Jade was based on innate hacking technology. The cold shower felt so relaxing on her body. Three days with no rest was no easy especially for someone like her who was not used to such extremes.

'Those guys are just too much.' Thought Aqua to herself. Both Ace and Adiel did not seem fazed at all about the mission but she almost collapsed from tiredness. Aqua would be leaving the academy soon to the rest of the world to be by herself. The hardest part was to remain hidden from the other eyes. Not very many people were aware of the existence of her kind. Many thought that they were extinct.

But their powers were said to be at per with the demons kinda anyway. She had to learn the ways of the humans so that she could blend in with the rest of the humans. One thing she had learnt ever since she joined the Academy was to trust no one. Her trust to people was limited.

She got out of the shower and dressed up. She would be joining the university which consisted of very many humans. By the time they were done it was already evening. Aqua dressed in a white T-shirt and black jeans and walked out of the infirmary and walked towards the cafeteria to grab a meal.

The cafeteria was almost full as more people continued to flood in. To the outside world it was just a normal school but this is where they were all trained to control their powers and how to fight. Aqua saw Jade waving at her and walked towards the table.

"Thanks Jade." Aqua smiled at her since she had already picked a meal for her.

"Well that was fast, you take too little time to prepare Aqua you are not a man for petes sake." Aqua rolled her eyes and Jade stuck her tounge out at her.

Aqua took her seat right across the table while facing her friend.

"So where have you been sent to?" Jade stared at Aqua while anticipating for her answer. Aqua could see the eagerness that she was trying to mask.

"Mercoda university, how about you?" Aqua answered with a bored tone.

"I'll stay here for another extra week before joining the university which is in town." Jade answered while stuffing a chicken breast in her mouth.

"It should have a name you know unless you haven't even cared to find out what it's name is?"

"I'll go and inquire later, "Jade answered nonchalantly as she cleared her plate. They both left the place and Aqua excused herself after wishing her friend a good night. Aqua walked towards her room and locked the door so as not to be disturbed and walked towards her bed.

Her room consisted of one bed, a dressing table, a walk-in closet and a bathroom. Her whole room was painted blue to her own liking but all her beddings were blood red in color. Contrast to her whole room.

Despite being tired and her whole body screaming for her to rest sleep was far away from her.

She slumped on the bed annoyingly as she tried to bribe sleep to come to her. But sleep seemed to be ignoring her today. She closed her eyes but then opened them after a few minutes and started staring at the cealing. She finally gave up and got off the bed and walked towards the door of her room.

She got out of the building and walked towards the stable. She decided to take a stroll in the forest as the Academy was surrounded by a forest and was situated far away from the normal civilian. Anyway all the academies under this administration were all isolated.

She took Knight her favorite black horse and walked outside the gate to take her stroll. She calmly walked along the roads as she enjoyed the cool breeze blowing against her warm pale skin. Goosebumps had already started appearing on her skin but she didn't care.

Unknown to her a shadow was following as she walked deeper and deeper into the forest.
