Chapter 96: Guy Talk II Night Of Confessions

(Morax: POV)

Dodging an attack from a sword aimed at my gut I then punched my attacker in the face.

Driving him into a nearby wall.

Bringing the battle to an end.

Today my familia and I are assisting the Ganesha familia in taking down a black market trafficking ring.

Specializing in female elves.

Slavery is illegal in Orario.

On the surface that is.

So stuff like this is swiftly dealt with.

On the surface that is.

Ishtar and Apollo I'm looking at you two.

Anyway.

While my familia and I had dealt the hired thugs, Shakti, Ardi, and their group secured the prisoners inside of the warehouse we are currently at.

Since its the group's base of operations.

As the captured elves were brought out safely things started to wrap up pretty fast from there.

The criminals who were left alive were secured, and any documents on information we found on their operations and associates was also secured.

Until eventually the operation was over, ending in complete success.

As my familia and I prepared to leave I felt a hand on my shoulder.

Turning around I saw it was Shakti.

Giving me a pointed look.

Which has been doing for the past few weeks every time we've met.

And I have no idea why.

I'm pretty sure I haven't offended her in some way. But if I have I wish she would tell me so we can move past it.

Since I'm not the type of guy to let things linger.

"Yes, Shakti?" I asked.

"Date." She muttered.

"Sorry, what?" I questioned.

"I have finally decided to take you up on your offer for a date." Shakti explained.

The moment she did so and I processed her words the blue exe. screen appeared in my head.

I've been trying to get Shakti to go out with me for years, and now here she is accepting.

My brain is having trouble accepting this.

"I see." I said on auto-pilot.

"Yes." Shakti said. "So then in three days time. Pick me up in front of the Ganesha familia home." She said.

I simply nodded.

"Bye then." Shakti said.

She then walked away.

As soon as she did so I noticed Ardi looking at me and grinning. Mouthing the words "You're welcome." at me.

Immediately upon seeing this I gave her a thumbs up.

Oh Ardi, you're the best wingwoman a guy could ask for.

Giving me a thumbs up in response Ardi then walked off.

As she did so my brain finally completed its reboot.

I have a date with Shakti.

Putting a smile on my face I rejoined the others and we headed home.

While I worked how to conquer another member of my harem.

Throwing down a pair of cards onto the pile at the center of the table in front of me I didn't even try to hide my joy.

The guys and are in one of the Owl House recreation rooms having a guys night which we haven't done in a while.

For tonight's activity we've chosen to play cards.

Specifically Old Maid.

Of which I have won the last three rounds.

"Dammit." William muttered. "Morax, how are you so good at this?"

"I guess this is just one of my hidden talents." I said.

"Tch." William clicked his tongue. "Cheeky bastard. Just watch, I'll wipe that grin off your face when I win this round." He said.

But in the end I won again.

"Fu, better luck next William. Better luck next time." I said.

Giving him a pat on the back as I did so.

"Bastard!" William shouted at me.

But I ignored him.

While Ryner and Gaul laughed their assess off.

Then all of a sudden Diluc spoke up.

"So Millhiore and I slept together."

The moment he said this the entire room dropped into complete and utter silence.

"What?" Ryner asked.

"It's true. The night of the celebration party." Diluc said.

"What are you saying?" Gaul asked. A blush on his face.

Well given that Millhiore is like a sister to him it's a given he doesn't want to hear about her sex life.

"Need I say it again?" Diluc asked.

"No, that won't be necessary." I spoke. "So, are you guys a couple now?"

"I mean no, but..." Diluc trailed off.

"You want to be." Rogue said.

Diluc nodded.

"I do." He said. "That's why I decided to tell you guys this. Just strengthen my resolve to ask Milli to be my girlfriend."

"Well good for you Diluc." Ryner said. "But man, this came out of nowhere. I didn't even know you though about Milli in that way."

"Yes well. Animal girls have always....been my thing." He said. Getting a blush on his face.

I see Diluc is a man of culture despite his usual uptight appearance.

Nice.

"Dammit!" William shouted.

Banging his fist on the table he started crying tears of jealousy. "This is such bullshit. How is everyone getting a girlfriend but me?!" He complained. "Rogue has the far eastern beauty Kaguya, Diluc is getting together with Millhiore, even Gaul has his Amazon girl. Then Morax has Ryuu and Rose. It's not fair."

"Get ready to add Shakti to that list as well. Since she asked me out earlier today." I spoke.

As I did so everyone looked at me with shocked expressions.

"Are you messing with us?" Rogue asked.

"Nope." I said. "She really did."

"Dammit!" William shouted.

He then grabbed on of the alcohol bottles and started drinking straight from it.

As this happened Ryner patted him on the back. "It'll be alright buddy." He said.

Since he's the only one who can.

Given he is the only one besides William who doesn't have a lover.

"Hey since we're confessing stuff I have something to say." Rogue spoke up.

He then told us how the entire Astraea familia got a look at him in his birthday suit.

A sad smile on his face.

"Wow buddy that's rough." I admitted.

"Yeah." Diluc agreed.

"Have you talked to them about it?" Gaul questioned.

Rogue nodded. "Yes. Still it's so awkward." He said.

"Just give it time." I told him.

It won't make things better. But at least it will allow everyone to come to terms with the incident and move on.

"I also have something to say." Gaul spoke up.

Looks like tonight is a night of confessions.

"So I met this girl back during the night of the party and well...I don't know how to explain it." Gaul said.

He then told us about said girl and I had to do my best not to react too much when he told us her name.

To think Gaul would sleep with Luniore of all people.

Which makes me wonder if she and Chloe will still end up at the Hostess of Fertility since Ryuu doesn't work there anymore.

I hope they do.

Since from the way Gaul is talking about her I think he might have a little crush.

Actually now that I think about it the two of them are a good match.

Add in Samira and Gaul is forming his own harem.

Wiping a fake tear from my eye I smiled.

Looks like I have gained an apprentice who I can teach my ways to without even knowing it.

As the harem master I won't fail in this duty.

When Gaul finished talking I placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Gaul my friend follow your heart. If you like this girl then try and find her again. But remember Samira as well. Since a harem is a complex thing." I explained to him.

"What, harem?! No, I. It's not like that!" He protested.

But I simply patted his shoulder in reassurance.

"No need to deny my friend. Your harem making abilities are manifesting. Embrace them." I said.

"Shut up!" William cried.

Ah I truly love hanging out with these guys.
