First Meeting

(Gale POV)

Okay, Gale. Deep breaths. This is just like taking college exams, but easier. You're only meeting two people. One happened to be a Goddess and the other is one of your favorite characters. No big deal. You got this. Believe it!

Walking into the church, Gale was met with silence followed by loud steps. Eventually, both Bell and Hestia came into view and I found myself gawking at them. My cloak covered my face from them and most likely, I probably looked like some shady dude coming to make a deal with them.

"Excuse me. Do you need something?" asked Bell with a smile.

"Yes. I would like to join your Familia if that's okay." A tense silence later, Hestia jumped up in joy and hugged Bell. Poor guy. Bone crushing hugs are probably very painful.

"Yes! Yes! A million times yes! Welcome!" she said as she shook my hand violently. She is kind of cute, but I'll never be able to handle her. Good thing Bell is here.

"Thank you." Once I got my Falna and everything settled, I decided to finally take off my cloak and my face mask. "Um. This is my real face. I usually don't show it to others much since I am very cautious about other people." I saw them frozen. "Um...do I look that ugly? I'll just put back my mask if it is so." I was joking, but I was curious as to what surprised them. The fact that I took of my face? It's definitely that.

"Wait wait wait Gale-Kun. That's not why we are shocked. I-It's your face." She stood in front of me.

"Hm? What about my face?" I don't have a mirror with me at the moment so I had no idea what she was talking about.

"Gale-San. You look like my twin through and through." What?

"Yeah. The only difference between you two are the hair and eyes. You guys are almost like morning and night." Interesting. I didn't know that my real-life face is actually Bell's in 2D form. How convenient.

"Gale-San. Be honest with me. Are you my brother?" What kind of drugs are you on dude? I'm not your long lost brother that got separated at birth.

"No, I am not." Why do you look disappointed Bell? Do you want a sibling that bad?

"Well. We are Familia now so I guess we are now all related." I think your logic is a little forced there, but B+ for effort.

"Okay?" I shook my head. "I uh planned to go to the Guild to register myself and then dive into the first few floors into the dungeon. Want to come with me Bell?"

"Sure! I would love to. Hestia-Sama. We'll be back as soon as you know it."

"Thanks. Bell, why don't you go ahead? I need to have a private chat with Hestia-Sama." He nodded and I turned towards the curious Goddess. I used Pocket Dimension to take out at least 1,000,000 valis and gave it to her. "Here. Go enjoy yourself. Buy some new clothes and groceries. If you need more, just ask later. Also, I'll be buying this property and more so that we could build ourselves a real home. I'll pay off your debts when you tell me who you owe. For now, have a good day. Goodbye Goddess." Aren't I so kind? I didn't have any ulterior motives in helping them out. Rather, I just want them to stop suffering from poverty. It was really sad to watch them live their lives in the first season and so I'm just speeding things up. If anyone feels like questioning anything, well...I'll deal with it when it happens.

On the way out of the door, I was tackled from the back by a sobbing Hestia. She got off of me and let me up only to give me one of her tight hugs that nearly forced me to unseal my power.

"Can you let go now?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I want to hug you."

"Fine." I let her stay like that for half a minute before I slowly peeled her off of me. Using my sleeves to wipe her tears, I made direct eye contact. "Are you okay now?"

"Yeah." She gave me a very big smile.

"Okay then. See ya later." I waved at her.

I ran in the Guild's direction and caught up to Bell. Bell and I chatted about our life a little and we entered the Guild. Registering myself as a member, I kept my face mask on when they took my picture because who cared about their stupid authority and rules? I only want some action and food. Nothing else as of now.

Exiting the building, Bell took me to the first floor of the dungeon and we encountered some Goblins and Kobolds. Bell looked shaken up at first but composed himself before joining me in combat. I struggled a little more than I would've liked to, however, it was a very good learning experience. Thanks to Instinct, I felt like I had sixth sense guiding me through it all. I was learning how to dodge attacks and stab accurately with my knife. My coordination skyrocketed and I was dispatching all these short green monsters like it was nothing.

Having Aura definitely helped with all that. Aura worked kind of like how Chakra did in Naruto and Ki did DBZ. By applying it to my body, I enhance my physical attributes and I can even coat my weapon to make it more durable and sharp. I didn't give it Nature Transformation or Shape Manipulationas as I discovered that magic can do that for me. If anything, once it is in the S rank, it will work more like Ki would, but with a few new abilities. For example, the Aura Sharing ability that I am using to prevent Bell from getting killed by his vital spots. Since he couldn't see it or sense it, he was ignorant about my aid.

"Bell. Your fighting style is extremely stiff and immature. Have you trained?" He looked down and mumbled no. I felt bad for saying that, but I want him to get strong. Not die early due to my influence. "It's okay to be weak Bell. Everyone who is strong has gone through that phase at one point." He gave his attention. "You told me that you have the ambition to be a Hero. What does every hero have in common?"

"I don't know."

"Then I'll tell you. They had the courage to take the first step towards their dreams. Are you willing to do the same?" Gosh. I feel like an Angel today. Here I am, giving advice to Bell and I even gave away money to a person I just met just so she could get out of the house a little more. One thing that did worry me was these lines. I hope they are effective.
