"Ms. An Lan, we haven't dialed the wrong number. Zhou Huimin indeed requested to meet with you. She said she has some words she wants to tell you," the prison guard repeated Zhou Huimin's words.
Silence descended upon An Lan upon hearing this, and Huo Zhanting, in his office, noticed An Lan's unusual behavior. He proactively walked over and grabbed An Lan's arm, his eyes questioning her about what had happened.
An Lan shook her head gently and once again declined.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to see her."
The mention of Zhou Huimin successfully dredged up An Lan's past unpleasant memories. After she spoke, the person on the other line did not insist any further and hung up the phone.
"Who was that on the phone?" Huo Zhanting asked curiously.
An Lan answered truthfully, "It was a call from the prison guard where Zhou Huimin is held. It seems Zhou Huimin wants to see me, but I don't want to meet her."
