"

Could you grab the Ketchup out of the refrigerator please?" Corey asks me.

I nod.

"You do know what Ketchup is, right?" Corey laughs.

"Oh, whatever." I roll my eyes laughing.

Corey has been making fun of me because I don't know what meatloaf is. My mom didn't cook things like that, and when we went out for dinner, it was usually very fancy.

Corey squeezes the ketchup and top of a hamburger meatloaf and puts the pan in the oven. We walk back into the living room. I hear my phone ding. I look down and notice a text from Adam. It reads Are you okay? I text back, I am fine. I might as well send one message, since my phone will be shut off soon.

Sitting in front of the television. I once again watch the unicorn movie with Jen.

Hours later, I lay in bed with Corey. I am wearing his sweater and boxers. I am very comfortable. He wraps his arms around my waist, and I feel his lips on my neck.

"You look sexy in my clothes," he says, nibbling on my ear.

I turn to face him. He smiles, kissing me on the forehead. He rubs his finger over my lower lip. I bring my lips to him, pressing my body close to his, I feel his hands on my butt.

He pulls his lips away. "Sadie, are you taking birth control pills or something?"

No. Why haven't I thought about this? I shake my head.

His mouth drops open. "We already have twice."

"I know, I am an idiot."

I feel like I am going to cry. This can be a huge mistake. A baby is something we both don't need.

"Sadie it's fine from now on we will just use condoms, I'll pick some up tomorrow." He moves the hair from my face.

I lay on his chest, and he rubs my back. I bet Corey has been with a lot of women. He is so handsome, how could he not?

"How many girlfriends have you had?"

He laughs. "Only a few."

"I guess Adam is the closest thing I had to a boyfriend."

He holds me tighter. "You don't think he is the better choice?"

Why would he ask that? I feel so confused. "No, why?"

"He can give you more than me, in life. He's more put together than me," he says.

I look into his eyes. "I don't feel for him, the way I do for you."

He smiles and brings his lips to mine.

The next morning, I rub my eyes. Looking around, I feel strange waking up in Corey's room. Rolling over, I notice he was already out of bed. I get out of bed and walk into the living room. I see Jen sitting at the table, eating cereal.

"Good morning Jen," I say, patting her on the head.

She smiles, finishing her last bite.

"Can Sadie help pick out my clothes for school?" She looks at Corey.

"If she wants to," he replies.

"I would love that."

Jen runs over to me and grabs my hand. Soon I am in a pretty pink room. She has her bed and a small toy box with a few toys. It wasn't anything compared to my room growing up. This makes me sad.

Jen skips to her closest and pulls out two dresses. One is white with yellow flowers, and the other is purple.

"These are the two dresses I like best, which one do you like better?" She asks.

"Definitely the one with flowers, it's so pretty."

She nods. "I agree."

After she is done putting her dress on and tennis shoes, she sits on her bed. Her hair flows down her back. I wonder if Jen ever had French braids before?

"Do you have any hair ties?"

She smiles and runs back to her Closet, bringing me a tiny box. There was a hair brush and all sorts of ponytail holders.

"Sit in front of me, I'll braid your hair."

"Really," she grins.

I nod.

I part her hair and start braiding it, Corey walks into the room. I love the smile on his face. This is happiness. I love being here with them.

Soon Corey leaves with Jen for school. She looks so cute with her dress and braids. Mom saved everything from my childhood, I bet it's all in the basement. Jen would love that stuff.
