"What do you want to do?

"I only have a babysitter for a few minutes, but if you come to my house, we will have longer," he says.

I nod.

"Do you want to meet my sister?" he asks.

"I would love to." I smile.

" Movies and pizza at my crib," he laughs.

"Sounds like fun."

He opens the door to my car. "Just follow me over."

"Okay." I can't believe I knew Corey all this time. Unbelievable.

I think I couldn't remember his name because I blocked it out because of the pain. It was horrible. He moved, and I never saw him again. He kissed me and left.

I follow his truck as it leaves the parking lot. He drives faster than me. We pull into a small house. It is definitely different from mine. The woodwork on the house is falling apart. One of the windows is broken. I try not to appear uncomfortable.

I have never been in a house of this status, and maybe I'm a little more stuck up than I thought. I feel ashamed of myself.

He pulls up his driveway, and I pull up next to him.

He gets out of his truck. I slowly get out of mine. He meets me and takes my hand. I smile trying to hide my feelings.

We walk towards the door hand in hand. He pushes the door open, and I see a little girl rushing toward us.

"Daddy,'' she yells, jumping into his arms.

Daddy, I can imagine why she would call him Daddy. He is probably all she has.

I see a man walking towards us. He looks just like Corey. Backward hat, baggy pants. A cigarette in his ear.

"Thanks, man," Corey says, reaching out his hand.

"Anytime dude," he smiles.

He turns his attention to me. I feel my hands getting sweaty.

"Who's this beauty?" He winks at me.

" That's Sadie and she's off limits," Corey laughs.

" Damn," he says.

"Sadie, this is Josh,'' Corey says.

He winks at me again. I smile awkwardly.

"You want to go on a date tonight?" Corey asks.

"With Sadie?" He says with a grin.

I laugh.

"She's mine tonight," Corey smiles at me.

I feel my stomach turn.

"With who?" Josh asks.

Corey takes out his phone and shows Josh something.

"She's hot," Josh says. So I imagined it was a picture.

"Her name is Mandy," Corey says.

"I am game," Josh grins.

"You are meeting her at the movies at 630," Corey explains.

"Got ya," says Josh.

Mandy is going to flip.

He looks more than happy to take Corey's date, but what am I going to do about mine?
