Migi: [I'm an ordinary guy, and I will still beat the heck out of you guys.]
Standing, Yuji and Gai were provoked by his words that came out as arrogant. It was something they couldn't just let slide.
Yuji: [You got balls of steel. Are you sure you have the skills to back it up, you bastard?]
Gesturing for the others to join, Yuji had changed his mind about the fight. There was no need to entertain an arrogant weakling.
Yuji: [I changed my mind. We're going to beat you so hard that you'll remember this for the rest of your life.]
Smiling with malice, Yuji revealed his lust for looking down on others, seeing as how Migi was more than outnumbered by five.
Yet, Migi stood his ground, raising his fists leveled with his face.
Migi: [Of course. If anything else, that guy was the one who caught me off-guard.]
Referring to Gai, Migi smirked at him to provoke them more. He planned to rile them up, and behind this whole orchestra, was just a part of a plan he was tasked with doing.
And without a word, Yuji's lackeys came in and swung at Migi. Yet, in just a few seconds, two of them were quickly knocked out with each receiving a blow to the chin.
It was done in quick succession that Gai was left in shock to see them fall like flies.
There was another lackey that had yet to charge in, but seeing Migi knock them down both had made him hesitant, thinking that there was no opening to attack Migi.
Yuji: [What are you doing?! Go!]
Yuji would shout at that same lackey, however, as soon as he looked back at Yuji, Migi had already struck him with a kick to the chest, knocking him back towards Yuji's feet.
Yuji would only stop their body from sliding anymore with a foot, stepping on it as he took a sigh, unsurprised by Migi's skill.
Yuji: [Ordinary guy? You're a boxer, aren't you?]
After observing his way of fighting, Migi has been using boxing since the start of the fight, using nothing but his fist, and weaving left and right to dodge the strikes that the opponent had thrown.
It was easy to guess from the way he raised his hands and how he had bopped from side to side.
Gai: [H-He's a boxer as well? It never seemed that way before!]
Gai was surprised to hear that as he had realized it now.
Trying to remember how he was able to overpower Migi back then, Gai had thought that Migi was just a well-toned student without any fighting experience, thus he struck him without regard.
Yuji: [Yeah, it seems like that way. So, what are you waiting for? Go and beat him up before I do that to you.]
Looking at Gai closely with a menacing stare, Yuji's words were stressed enough for Gai to be intimidated, sweating profusely as he then turned to face Migi.
Gai has experience in boxing as well, but after seeing Migi's skill in sending them all in one punch, he began to think otherwise that he could stand a chance.
Gai: [F-Fuck!]
Charging in, Gai raised his arms like Migi, yet he didn't attack, only waiting for Migi to attack.
(He's been using his right hand to launch punches. If he attacks, I can counterattack with a fast left hook! If he's stronger, then I'm faster!)
Gai considered it that Migi was a hard puncher that could knock one out in one hit, yet he was confident in his speed.
Migi: [Not attacking? Then I'll come to you.]
Just as Gai anticipated, Migi launched a right punch for him to counter. He performed a shoulder roll to evade his right hand.
Gai: [Idiot! You——]
Yet, before he could even launch his left hook, he had forgotten one simple thing.
Gai: [Guaahkk——!]
Migi still had his left hand, striking his stomach with the force of his momentum.
Migi: [That's payback.]
Gai was brought down to his knees after receiving a blunt force down his stomach, mouthing everything out.
It was a sight to behold, with all the four men down around Migi, leaving only Yuji to be the last standing.
Yuji: [Hmph. Looks like you're not all talk.]
Yuji had his arms crossed, not moving an inch from where he was.
Migi: [Stop bothering the school and I'll let you go without a problem.]
Migi pointed at Yuji to come to a resolution, and yet Yuji only showed a surprised face, not expecting Migi to say something like that.
Yuji: [Haah? That's my line. Just because you beat up a few kids doesn't mean you can handle me.]
Yuji scoffed with a hand on his face, laughing at Migi's audacity.
Yuji: [Oh well, that's why he sent me here. To make sure things don't go south for us.]
Migi: [——?!]
Suddenly, Yuji's eyes would go black, leaving an orange pupil that had taken Migi by surprise.
Soon, the pitch black color would envelop their environment, spreading from Yuji's feet to the ground, swallowing his men whole and reaching up to Migi.
Darkness appeared out of nowhere.

At the same time, at the nearest mall, Hoshoujo, Mayu, and I was still stuck choosing between suits.
Mendou: [We've been here for 20 minutes!]
I have been carrying at least three to four pairs of suits that I had tried on, and until now, both of them were still looking for something.
Mayu: [Something is missing! If we find the right one for you, maybe you can finally get yourself a girlfriend!]
Hoshoujo: [If only your casual wear is not wacky, you could have been fairly a better person.]
And in that 20 minutes as well, I've been enduring their trash talking along with the fatigue of walking and standing.
Besides, where the heck do they even get that energy from? I'm already exhausted by just sitting around and getting played as a dress-up guy.
Mendou: [I-I don't even think that I have enough money to buy this thing.]
Hoshoujo: [Worry not, Ka—I mean, Najimi had lent me his Black Card. It's his request after all so...]
Drawing a black credit card from her pockets, Hoshoujo showed me the lifeline that my clothes were relying on.
One set of suits was more than enough, but now, they're also picking our casual wear.
Mayu: [——Hmph. Sharing cards and all, don't think you've won yet.]
Side by side, Mayu and Hoshoujo were picking out clothes. As they were picking clothes up, they were raising them to the air before making me try them on.
I was just a tad smaller than Najimi and so, I feel like they were shopping whilst imagining me as Najimi instead with all these clothes.
It hurts and annoys me to think that they're both looking at me but they're thinking of another guy.
We're here to shop! Not to goddamn do that kind of thing! Or so I wanted to shout out.
But soon enough, their shopping frenzy would end and I was forced to carry them all.
We took a small break at a nearby restaurant with Mayu's treat but she would accidentally drop a glass without any particular reason.
Mayu: [...!!]
The waitress was quick to respond and ask Mayu if she was okay, finally snapping back to herself as she faced us.
Hoshoujo: [What's gotten into you?]
Mayu suddenly looked worried and concerned, fiddling with her hair.
Mayu: [I don't if you guys would believe me but, every time I accidentally break glass, something bad happens. It's like a premonition of sorts for me, and it's always true...]
Mendou: [...]
It could be just a coincidence but, looking at her face, it seems like it was true. That sudden change in demeanor means she's feeling anxious, worrying if that bad thing is going to happen.
Hoshoujo: [Here, drink this. You must be exhausted.]
Hoshoujo slid a glass of water toward Mayu she drank it as soon as she held it.
Hoshoujo seemed to disregard that fact despite being a witness to her grandfather's ability to see the future as well, but I think she's only trying to calm her down by doing that.
It was no use worrying about something that was about to come after all.
Mendou: [In any case, everything's gonna be just fine. If you must know, my luck is incredibly high! I doubt that misfortune will happen to me around!]
I said that to cheer her up, but with me trying to deduct that, it wouldn't be possible for that misfortune to happen to someone else close to her. Or at least that is what I believe.
Thinking about this made me think about Migi.
I sent him out, fully aware that he might encounter those guys as they seem to be connected with all the happening, considering their time of arrival.
After conditioning his body to receive not only normal attacks but attacks from any blunt forces and weapons, I had revealed to him a world that he had never seen before.
A world, where magic, and shadows collide.
**
Yuji: [——What?! Impossible! How can you stop that?! No normal human can do that!]
Holding the shadows but the edges, Migi had stopped the ethereal shadows that weren't supposed to be tangible, ripping them off from the environment like a piece of paper.
I, Mendou, did not only teach Migi how to receive attacks properly.
I taught him how to break reality.
Migi: [Oho. Shit, I'm gonna go full chunnibyo on this one.]
Excitedly, Migi would just clasp his hands together before pointing at Yuji who was shocked by his move.
Migi: [I'm magic too, you freak.]
