Chapter - 15 Rune Keeper Test(3)

An interforce that caused uproars between different Domains, and the 15 Ruler's.

Team Vengence was apparently known for their great skills in combat, and were ranked as one of the highest/strongest in next generation.

For them to be overtaken by our, it would definitely cause a big uproar. What's worse it's not just the 15 Ruler's but, even hidden existence of beings that watch closely.

It only made me nervous.

"We received a message from one of the our Ruler's!" the rune keeper expressively announces with excitement.

A message?

"Saying, 'why the pause? keep going on and fight till death reaches.' "

"My name is Hall Khalem, this is truly the fight I deserve!"

With anger and excitement controlling him over, he zooms in right in front of me. He didn't leave a single second wasted, jumping above me and leading a massive strike right at me.

This fight was different, I'm going against someone whose properly trained and knows what he's doing rather than just going at it like how I do.

"DUCK!" Jin screams from a distance warning me.

I ducked without realizing it. He placed a dagger behind me that came at intense speed. Wait, Can't he see more than a usual eye?

"OI Jin, help me out here!"

He nods with understanding, knowing what he's supposed to do at the moment.

With brute force, I dashed with intense speed hoping for a kick that will reach in.

"Thwack!"

The impact of my kick was loud on his arms.

"RIGHT!"

"Think that will work?!" The leader yells with frustration.

The battle was brutal yet it made me excited with fear. Each of our weapons were constantly swinging at each other with me taking in more hits. While Jin at the back warning at which sides the blades will appear.

At one point Jin stopped, which made me worried, I almost got killed 3 times.

"J-jin!, why aren't you saying anything?!" Rayne yells at, with an uneasy feeling of betrayel.

Surely not...

"I'm pretty sure that kid left you to die!" the leader softly screams while grasping for air.

The blades kept cutting me, with one stabbing me on my back. Raina is down, but not killed. Along with emi but that cloaked girl is taking the 2 of them on her own.

With me taking on one, her taking on 2, where's the other 2?! I shoud've paid more attention, while lost in thought, they came in quick from my left amd right. Leaving me enclosed.

What should I do... If try to rush back, the one in front will cut me down. Junping up is no good, it will leave my guards open and wil likely make me more killable. There's nothing else I can do, all I can do is pray for them to not kill me!

"Boom!"

"Team Bloom Wins!" the keeper announces with large grin on his face.

Everyone stopped their movements, with most of them confused and shocked.

"What kind of crap is that?!" the leader of the opposing group exclaims.

"Look closely." says the keeper.

A sense of relief, the weights from my shoulders dissappered. How could I have forgotten, the main goal was to reach the cube and break it. With jin in the end breaking it.

A few minutes later, we went to our respective rooms. The room was silent, knowing that we almost lost, brought everyones mood down.

"If it wasn't for Jin, we would've really lost heh." Emi giggles with a smile on her face that glowed.

"That's right, I thought I was about to get killed." says Raina with a depressing tone.

"Ah thanks but, don't you think you should remove you're cloak already?" Jin stated with a bit of an annoyed face.

"... haaa, maybe not now." the cloaked girl sighed and utters with a deep yet soft voice.

She finally spoke. Though that wasn't my concern. We were in completely bad shape, we weren't able to move properly, nor were our injuries healed. What's worse this test, each round takes place every 10 minutes. This made us uneasy, knowing were about to get killed by Team Z, which is even stronger than the team we just faced.

"So what do we do? we can always forfeit..." jin implies with a sense of guilt.

"We can't do that! It took me my whole life to face this, my parents will abandoned me if they find out!!" Raina shouts as her voice stutters with trauma.

The same reason went for Emi as well. I guess people her have fixed assets. A Harsh life where they have to train themselves for on big moment. But to give up in the end didn't sit right with me either.

"Alright let's try this out." Jin declares with pride.

10 minutes had already passed. We came up with a plan but it was more reinforced.

[Emi will stay at the back supporting Me and the cloaked girl]

We weren't going to fight them for ovious reasons, all we have to do is hold them off until Jin reaches the cube and breaks it. While we didn't know what the other Team's plan was, we have a backup plan or Plan B ready as well. It's to forfeit as fast as possible as soon as we fail, to prevent fatal outcomes.

"Step ahead get ready in 1 minute."

"I know this isn't going to work but, this helped me improve. Quite a lot actually." Raina chuckles with satisfaction.

"Well let's hope for the best." Emi's deepend with seriousness.

"You... what's you're name?" the Leader of Team Z asked with a royal tone that put builded up enormous tension.

Why is she asking my name all of a sudden.

"R-rayne... you'res?"

A slight pause that made the atmosphere uneasy.

"Hm... no reason to tell someone whose going to get killed any second now."

I knew it. I have to be ready for it, one of them is going to throw or do something, specificly towards me.

"That bitch!" Emi grunts with intense anger.

"5, 4, 3, 2...1"

I have to avoid it no matter what...!

"Start!"

Here it comes!

"WOOSH!!"

I really did avoid, though It wasn't faster than the previous team. Now all I have to do is hold them while Jin get's up to the cube. Alright, it's me, that cloaked girl and Em-

"E-mi....?"

Raina's voice dropped down and shattered with despair and shock. The weapon she threw was aimed for me but, their main goal was most likely for it to hit her.

Her eyes ripped apart along with the blade, stuck on her forehead that bled over her face like a tiny waterfall.

She fell down like a doll, she was already gone.

"Rayne!!" Jin screams with rage warning me for their next approach.

The cloaked girl leaps in front of me blocking her attacks, with gushing towards me. Resulting in her cloak to fly off.

Dark blue hair, tall and has one eye.

Rose... what's she doing here?!
