It didn't feel like Carl had been in Jenni's and Daniel's room for almost an hour. It didn't feel like Carl, who had previously felt restless since the presence of his old friend, was now starting to be much better than before.
"Dad, are you all right?" Jenni asked suddenly as Carl began to be more cheerful than when he met them.
