Chapter Eleven

Mrs Joanna's POV 

( Flashback continuation)

Anna began to lose appetite for food all of a sudden and I began to wonder what was wrong, after some time, it was like she was losing weight and began to have fever. I took her to the hospital where she was diagnosed with pneumonia which had to be treated immediately as it had gotten really worse...

I wept as I saw my little angel suffer. We made arrangements with the hospital for the operation to be conducted as soon as possible as money was not the problem. After the operation was conducted, I and my husband waited outside for the good news but unfortunately the doctor called I and my husband to his office and began to apologise saying my baby didn't make it cause it had eaten really deep into her system.

I stared confused at what to do or say. My husband took me home and tried to comfort me as I made my way upstairs, locked my door, took her picture hugged it and slept off hoping for this dream to end soon...

Erica's POV 

I got back to my little apartment( which I had managed to purchase with the little money I agreed to collect from dad) after a very hectic day with no job at all. Every place I went to just seemed to be full and besides, who would want to employ someone like me; it wasn't like I didn't meet the required criteria but rather, who would want to employ someone looking as rough as me. My initial involvement with Fred and his group had made me care so less about my appearance making me look very rough. I decided that I was going to take care of myself from now on. I tried to open my door when suddenly i kicked something and upon looking down, I found a package. I wondered who could have dropped it as I had literally no friends around. I took it inside and upon opening it, I found an enveloped letter, I wonder who would package an enveloped letter. I opened it and it read...

Detective David's POV

( flashback continuation)

We had just rounded up a case when I got a call from my brother who told me that my daughter had been kidnapped and I needed to come quick. 

Upon getting there, the kidnappers left a note saying that I was meddling too much in their business and others and so I had to drop the next case I was planning to take up. I felt so confused as i had always placed my job as a major priority but definitely not over my own daughter whose mother had passed away at child birth leaving me with the responsibility of both a mother and a father which I took up to my best efforts with little help from my family members. I left the case and then the criminals got away but still refused to let my daughter go. I made to involve the police bit was told that I was being watched with lots of proof and my daughter's life was at stake here. It's been five months and just I recently got a call from them saying they indeed planned to release my daughter as agreed but were recently paid handsomely by someone to make sure that I left the next case and so my daughte would be released after that. I wondered what this case was about until I got a call from Dylan, well I guess it was time to find out...
