A True Hero

Though Jun managed to stand up again by transforming into light, it was clear that his light alone was not enough.

Especially since, even before the battle began, his condition was already dire. Jun had fought countless battles, been captured and experimented on by TLT, and his body had reached its limit.

So, when he faced Gōryūki, who was at full strength, Jun was at a disadvantage. Even though the Night Raiders were providing aerial support, it didn't change the fact that Jun was struggling.

As the viewers watched this, they clenched their fists, wishing they could jump into the TV and help beat up Gōryūki, who had transformed into Dark Mephisto.

But then, an unexpected voice came through the Night Raiders' communication system—it was the Seer.

"Fire at Ultraman's energy core!"

When the audience heard this, they suddenly understood. The tactic of transferring light to Ultraman wasn't unheard of. In fact, they'd seen it before in other Ultraman shows.

Whenever Ultraman was on the brink of death, his energy drained, people would transfer their light to him, reviving him to defeat the monster.

In *Ultraman Tiga's* finale, when Tiga turned to stone, the people of the world transformed into light, reviving Tiga to defeat the final boss.

And in the *Final Battle* movie, the ancient Ultramen used their remaining light to revive the defeated Tiga, allowing him to overcome Kamila.

Seeing this familiar scene, many viewers cheered from their couches.

"No wonder they set up the atmosphere like that earlier! But isn't it a bit early for a scene like this? This show isn't near its finale yet, right?"

Even Daniel, watching from home, couldn't help but feel puzzled.

But he quickly dismissed the thought.

Who cares? Usually, when a series is close to ending, there's a lot of promotion, just like with *Tiga.* Since there hasn't been any big announcements, the end of *Ultraman Nexus* is probably still far off. The story likely has a long way to go. I'll just keep watching to find out.

"But what if the light they're trying to transfer ends up attacking Nexus instead? That would be interesting," Daniel thought maliciously but quickly shook his head. "No, no! Why am I thinking such dark thoughts?"

After a brief moment of reflection, he concluded that the Porter had probably influenced him with such ideas. After all, certain creators attract certain fans, just like some people are drawn to specific genres of manga.

Meanwhile, although other viewers might not have had the same dark thoughts as Daniel, they were still on edge. This time, the Night Raiders' energy beam wasn't necessarily safe.

The new weapon's capabilities were based on data gathered during Jun's earlier experiments—it was designed to destroy. The theory was that it could be converted into pure energy for Nexus, but what if it wasn't?

If the conversion failed, it would be a disaster.

As the energy was being transferred to Nexus, the visuals made it seem more like they were trying to kill him, making the audience sweat in fear.

Although this wasn't directly a Porter's creation, fans could see that his new apprentice, Felix, had a knack for creating tense, risky situations.

What if Felix ended up killing Jun in his Nexus form?

But fortunately, despite the lethal appearance of the process, it worked. The energy transfer was successful.

Nexus, who had been on the brink of losing all power, not only regained his "Kasalan" big eyes, but also had enough energy left to upgrade from his juvenile form to a more powerful one.

"This power is for those who never give up hope. Someone like you, who doesn't understand that, can never defeat me!"

With those words, Nexus launched into a classic battle scene—an aerial ace fight!

This was one of *Ultraman Nexus's* signature moments.

Up, down, left, right, dodging and attacking, with the sky as their battleground.

Unlike ground battles where the focus is on the immediate surroundings, expanding the battlefield to the sky means attacks can come from any direction. Even the camera angles had to be carefully chosen to capture the full intensity of the fight.

As Jun's final battle, the special effects here were top-notch, thanks to Picca Comics. The action choreography and camera work were some of the best yet.

Viewers couldn't help but feel their adrenaline rise as the two fighters clashed in spectacular aerial combat, with explosions and flashes of light.

Finally, Gōryūki prepared for a devastating attack, gathering black and red energy into his arms before releasing it.

Jun responded in kind, unleashing a powerful beam of his own.

Both fighters used traditional beam attacks for the final showdown.

But if the viewers weren't mistaken...

"This is bad!"

"Nexus is going to lose!"

Although the two beams seemed evenly matched, experienced Ultraman fans knew the truth: historically, the left side in these beam struggles usually lost. And Nexus was on the left.

But then, something unexpected happened that left viewers stunned.

Neither side won.

The explosive energy from both beams enveloped Gōryūki and Nexus, and both were consumed by the blinding white light of the explosion.

Yes, it seemed like both sides had perished together!

"Jun is a true hero!"

"It's such a shame that Jun died..."

"Maybe he didn't die! There's no body, after all. He might reappear in the future!"

As fans watched this scene, they couldn't help but express their thoughts.

In the final moments, Jun floated in the air, speaking to Komon, who was flying a jet nearby.

"Komon, light is a bond."

"One day, someone will inherit it and make it shine again!"
