Dean took a deep breath.
' What was I thinking? Things were meant to go sideways at some point; it is wishful thinking to hope for a safe journey to eternal life after what the BOIM uttered in his parting words.'
Deep down, Dean knew that his second life wouldn't be a walk in the park like his past one.
Eternal life isn't something you can obtain on a whim.
As a matter of fact, Dean wasn't even sure if he could lay his hands on it and beat death, the sole enemy he always feared.
Yet, he still had some tiny little bit of hope that everything would go smoothly.
Alas, everything changed tonight and Dean knew that the worst was soon to come.
As to what he found out for him to think this way except for Blank's conversation with the man from Star Guild, Dean chose to leave it for later.
' Arghh, I can't escape reality; nothing comes for free and my goal isn't an exception; it is actually the hardest If you think about it deeply,' Dean thought.
Dean's mind wandered to many places as he slowly succumbed to sleep.
This night, Dean decided to change places and slept on the ground while leaning his back on the carriage.
The night passed without any incidents.
Dean woke up when it was still dark, but his inner clock told him that dawn would arrive soon.
'Alright, let's go.'
And thus, another boring day of travel started for Dean.
He went in the carriage after the others and the journey continued.
Today is the last day and he is supposed to enter the gate at night.
Diver Blank insisted that he shouldn't hover in the city and instantly head to the gate with them or else things might become difficult for him and he would face huge problems in entering the gate without them.
The journey to Irinas was quiet as no one inside the cabin had the energy to speak, realizing that soon their lives would go back to the same routine inside the gates.
As to what is the 'same routine'?
That is something only they knew of.
By now, Dean could see no more mud in the road as the entirety of it started being built using stones at some point down the road.
The farm lines that covered both ways of the whole distance between Mountain Rock City and Irinas were no more.
What took place instead of them were some trees here and there. Dean had almost forgotten what they looked like since he had been around nothing but buildings his whole past life.
The temperature was still a bit cold due to winter, but it wasn't freezing.
If Dean had to put a month to the current weather, he would say December.
The winter was at its start, but spring hadn't fully ended yet.
When Dean started seeing multiple carriages around them and heard loud noises coming from the front, he knew that Irina's city was in front of them.
He took a deep breath as he deeply sighed, looking at the white-robed woman before him and then shifting his gaze to a card he just summoned.
It is something he hadn't checked since he first came here, which was five days ago.
[Main Mission: Unravel the real reason why the higher-ups of the wind church sent you on this mission and not a priest or anyone of higher authority and strength than you.]

Find the reason behind your mission and why you were sent out of all people.]
[Quest Reward: 10 gems.]
[Mission Deadline: one month.]
He then gazed at the new notifications lighting up every second on the lower half of the card that appeared last night.
[Mission Update: Lara Delvishi also known as Diver Blank, had been ordered by the star guild Core Elders to retrieve their stolen cards from the Kari assassination family. Given the information provided by Roy that the cards were sent to you, Lara is planning to take them back from you either by killing you or torturing you in the chaos world. Kill whoever dares to threaten your life and protect your goal of never dying again.]
' Who would have thought that she was behind it.' Dean thought.
' Or better say that I should have expected such a development? The random appearance of these people inside the city to kill me off was too perfect after all.'
' Cards my family has stolen huh! Not even I know where they are for fuck sake, but seems like little Roy knows.' He inwardly smiled as he thought of the reason he was placed in such a dire situation that tested his will and strength.
Alas, he now could do nothing about it since he needed to reach the gates and everything he heard that night should be buried till they enter the chaos world.
' Oh Lara, you failed to kill me since the power I displayed threatened you, so you are planning on catching me off guard inside the gates,' Dean couldn't help but inwardly laugh,' I wonder what kind of reaction she would have when she finds out that the 'card power' shes afraid of was only a one-time thing.'
Dean was confident in his stealth techniques during the night only because they were mastered to perfection, and he was even surprised by the other techniques he found after he scrolled through the original body's memories.
However, he also knows that everything this kid learned is but a mere copy and weaker version of the real deal and he presently needs to lay his hands on more cards to protect his life.
' No wonder she was never worried about me being an assassin with monstrous talent. In her eyes, everyone without cards supporting them is a chicken on the chopping board, waiting to be slaughtered if they ever crossed their lign.' Dean rubbed his chin as he thought of everything so far.
" Everyone, we have reached the city. Dean follow us without saying a word and keep your eyes to yourself looking only in the direction in front of you lest you bring us unnecessary trouble." Diver Blank ordered.
Dean nodded and followed behind the group of five divers as they exited the carriages cabin.
' Isn't this a bit exaggerated?' Dean almost lost his balance and dropped to the stony ground when he saw the construction of Irinas City and how it was built.
