Kanon does not dare meet Hisako and Juro's eyes; not after catching a glimpse of sadness and shock in Hisako's eyes.
Instead, she chooses to keep hovering her teacup under her nose, thoughtlessly inhaling its fragrance, while waiting for Hisako or Juro to speak.
"Oh… Oh dear… Would you look at the time." Hisako says before standing up.
Her jolly tone does not fool Kanon, as Kanon could clearly hear the tremble in the old woman's voice.
"Gran!…" Kanon calls out apologetically, but cannot proceed to ask Hisako to stay because the old woman has already stormed out of the living room, then out of the range of her entire property a few seconds later.
"Gosh…" She puts her face on her palm and sighs, starting to think how to resolve what she just did.
*crunch*
*crunch*
She is pulled out of her thoughts by strange sounds.
She looks back up and realizes that Juro actually decided to stay, and is still munching on a snack.
