{At the Monthly Meet Hall, Quadrant Twelve}
The woman with black hair looked to her right, a question clear on her regularly icy expression.
"Shu Weijing, could this be that child you mentioned before? If so, then I'll agree to meet him."
Shu Weijing was shocked, both by her response, and by the sight of his new disciple undergoing enlightenment, his cultivation rising with such a speed one could miss it if they blinked.
"That indeed is my new disciple, Xue Zunjing. As you can clearly see, he's so talented i fear i need a bit of assistance. I figured your Xue Palace, is more than capable."
"Who says that?", a random voice snorted to the left of the woman in black, who was now understood to be a representative of Xue Palace. The man who had spoken gave a sickening smirk, his pale green eyes and his sickly skin indicative to his sects methods.
"My Poison Heaven sect would also like this Talent, what do you say? Why leave all the goodies to Xue Xialing when we're here?"
Xue Xialing, the woman with black hair, gave the aforementioned man a frosty glare, "This is the business of my Xue Palace. You stay out of it, Wei Shu."
"I'm just saying, a talent that can achieve enlightenment is a rare talent indeed, shouldn't he get to choose based on benefits?"
"My disciple has already chosen. Not to mention, we all know what you do to your new recruits, don't we? You think you can torture mines? Try it", A sickening aura appeared around Shu Weijing as bloody red Daoist rhymes spread around the hall, painting the already red world, a sickening sanguine crimson.
"Yes! That's the Shu Weijing we love to see! They call you the bloody immortal for a reason, I'd love to see how you compare to us sect disciples!", A poison green aura manifested around Wei Shu, clashing directly with Shu Weijing's. The ground cracked and groaned under their pressure. For what seemed like an eternity, but was only a moment, their auras clashed, before suddenly, Wei Shu spat out blood, and Shu Weijing's Daoist rhymes suppressed him.
"My disciple is in search of Xue Palace because he has the Heavenly Dao Frigid Body, ranked number one on the supreme Dao Body rankings. I fear that only Xue Palace has the ability to properly raise him. You're not fit to take him. Give up.", the entire hall, except for Xue Xialing, was shocked into silence.
This 'Bloody Immortal' was far too domineering!
"Okay, that's enough. We must continue the meeting.", a voice said in slight exasperation. It seemed this twelfth general of theirs was never going to be cordial with the sects, then again, with his hidden status, it doesn't seem like he really needed to be.

Meanwhile, in the library, Xue Zunjing's aura finally stabilized at Qi Condensation 90%! Otherwise known as Qi Condensation ninth layer! His enlightenment receded and he slowly regained a normal sense of clarity.
Looking around, he felt a chill down his spine as he felt the gazes of multiple powerhouses recede from him.
"Congrats kid, you've caused quite the commotion! Now everyone and their mother has expectations of you.", the Old Librarian said, appearing out of seemingly nowhere, to stand in front of Xue Zunjing. Taking out a few books, he handed them to Zunjing, before kicking him out.
"Next time, read just a couple of books in a private area, namely your compounds. Even the powerhouses here aren't allowed to gaze into someone's home unwarranted.
Learn to keep secrets, or even in the safety of Quadrant twelve, you'll die quickly. From what I know, the next battlefield que is up in a month. Catch up quickly, or you'll die fighting those demons. I gave you some books to hold you off, don't come back unless you survive your first field mission, hell, if you do I'll give you a reward.", Giving one last look at the dazed youngster on the floor, he let out an elderly smile and walked back into the library hall, slamming the pavilion doors shut.
Still dazed, Xue Zunjing scampered off of the floor and sped home, eager to consolidate his cultivation, and further explore the usages of the system.
It was far too overpowered!
Instant enlightenment! That's a ridiculous boon!
He wondered the implications of using such a ridiculous ability on a sacred scripture or a powerful relic of history!
Why would he need to sacrifice himself ever again, to die a martyr, when he could protect with endlessness?
His mind wandered with thoughts of his past, but more so thoughts of his current. His sickly mother, beautiful and yet unseen by light and life for years been. His mind wandered and wandered, but it would always come back to the oath he made before he left, to survive, and come back home to his mother.
And he would.
