Chapter 32: Array

The next morning everyone packed their things and got deeper into the forest. With Wang xi at the front, they started advancing with caution. This forest is not a place they can be careless. They took care of the beasts easily as they were in the outer area of the forest but when they reached the inner circle their speed dropped and they had to clear the beasts frequently. Low-level beasts didn't dare to stop this many people.

Everyone's nerves are tense they wanted to know how much longer they had to continue. Around noon Wang xi finally stopped.

"We're here this is the cave my master chose as his abode. Please follow me inside." Wang xi turned around and gestured for them to follow him into a cave. The mouth of the cave is big enough to fit five adults side by side. The cave is at the end of a cliff so no one could tell how deep it is.

Hesitation could be seen on the face of the people there. They didn't fully trust wang xi so they are not sure if there was any trap in there but when the thought of getting to the realm beyond appeared in their minds they steeled their resolve.

'Anyway, there are so many powerful figures here whatever trap there be they could deal with it.' This was the thought of people. Chen jiaxin was the same. She took a peek at Vishnu to see what are his thoughts.

Vishnu looked at the cave with a glimmer in his eyes. He tried to sense inside but couldn't do it. Other people also tried the same method but failed. Wang Xi wouldn't be stupid enough to let all these people figure out his plan. He has placed an array at the cave entrance, which blocks spiritual sense. There are also various other arrays placed inside the cave which would have any spiritual sense inside and once everyone has entered Wang xi would also activate another array that will block the entrance so that no one could leave. Then finally there is another array that will suck out Qi from all the people inside. Naturally, he is free from these effects. As the master of this array, he could control everything.

At first, when he saw the level of the array on this planet he honestly thought they were all garbage. Compared to arrays used in his clans and other places outside these arrays were just basic. He had studied arrays in his clan so has knowledge of it. He could be called the best array master on this planet right now so for him to kill these people is too easy he just has to lure them here and that's what he did.

Vishnu requested Arthur to check what is inside the cave. Even if the array could block all these people's spiritual senses it couldn't block Arthur's. Instantly Arthur recognized the arrays used inside the cave. Even if he was not an array master in his life. He still has seen his fair share of arrays so it is not difficult for him to recognize these.

Arthur relayed the information back to Vishnu. Vishnu then asked some questions to Arthur, after a brief conversation a smirk appeared on his face. Chen Jiaxin looked at Vishnu and saw him smirking. She didn't understand why is Vishnu behaving like this.

'Did he go crazy due to excitement?' she thought but then discarded the idea she understood that Vishnu sometimes behaves like this always so she didn't put much thought into it. She elbowed Vishnu "So we're going inside right?' she asked as they could see some people entering the cave while some others are still hesitating. She was also not sure so she asked for his opinion.

"We are, this is a great opportunity we can't waste." He said with a smile as he took a step forward and entered the cave. Chen jiaxin also didn't hesitate any more and followed Vishnu. All the powerful people have entered inside. The thirst for power and lifespan is greater among them so they didn't hesitate. After some time everyone entered the cave, they have already come so far that it would be a pity if wouldn't go forward. If there really is the old master and they couldn't get the knowledge they could only drown in regret so it's better to take the risk.

After all the people entered a transparent energy wall blocked the entrance of the cave those who entered last looked behind but didn't think much. It might have been placed to block out any intruder after all some might be following them waiting to cause trouble.

People walked for around fifteen more minutes when suddenly wang xi stopped. He turned back and looked at all the people with an evil grin. Seeing that grin people started thinking something is wrong.

Someone asked "hey, where is your master?" they all felt that something is not right they couldn't sense anyone here but as that person is a higher realm than them they might not be able to sense their presence.

Wang Xi looked at the person who asked "hahaha! you fools there is no master here. Only deaths await you." As he finished speaking the array underneath them activated seeing this some people dashed towards Wang xi. All of them are Core & Soul fusion realm experts. Now they know that they have stepped into a trap. Seeing the array the first thought was to capture Wang xi, they are all powerful and knowledgeable people who could instantly analyze the situation.

But they are a step too late. Just before they could reach Wang xi they felt Qi leaving their bodies. No not leaving it is like it is sealed inside their bodies. Wang Xi looked at the people in front of him, with a sweep of his hand he struck them all them. They shoot back and collided with some other cultivators or with the wall they spat some blood from their mouths. Seeing this scene people became furious but they are helpless. Without Qi, they're sitting ducks in front of Wang xi.

"What do you want? Why do you want to capture us? We've no enmity." People could help but shout. "That's right, We don't even know you so why are doing all this." The commotion spread, they didn't understand why this fellow is doing all this. Did we offend him anyway? As long as they remember they don't even who him before yesterday.

"You're right I have no enmity with you all but there is one person among you who I have to kill." Wang Xi spoke as he stood calmly with his hands behind his back. He looked at all the people's faces. He wanted to find out who among them is the other guy but he didn't find anything.

Vishnu acted like other people, a little frightened. Chen jiaxin to his side also looked uncomfortable. She didn't want to die so young. She has so many things to accomplish, as a talent her dreams are big but if she died here all of them will become meaningless. She looked toward Vishnu and become shocked at him acting like this. At first, she thought that this fellow is also scared but then she noticed that this guy is acting. He could fool others but he couldn't fool her. She rolled her eyes at him but she didn't speak out she could tell that Vishnu has a plan.

When people heard that Wang xi just want to kill only one of them they sighed but then he is saying that he didn't know this fellow so everyone has to die.

'Is this guy mental? Why do you need to kill everyone for a single guy?'

'If you don't even know the guy why do you even have to kill them?'

'Did he kill your grandfather or something?'

'Where did this crazy guy come from?'

People couldn't help but curse in their hearts. They didn't understand why they have to die for just one guy.

"Sir, please tell us which guy you want we will voluntarily give them to you. No need to kill everyone right?" a fat-looking person said. From one look everyone could tell that he looked like a typical greedy merchant with all the jewelry on him.

Wang xi heard him and then slashed his sword at him. It is unknown when a sword appeared in his hand but the sword qi hit the man in his head spiting it in half.

People around the person took a few steps back. Their faces are covered in blood and they look pale. They didn't think Wang xi would kill them just for saying something.

"You guys don't need to think so much. After I kill all of you my problem will naturally disappear." He smirked as he prepared to launch his next attack. Seeing this the people could keep their calm anymore.

"Let's not wait for our death, we must charge at him. He can't kill all of us at once." One of the core & soul fusion realm experts shouted. The people around also thought it is a good idea. Everyone charged at Wang xi. He smile then launched his sword qi again it slashed through six people. People got scared but didn't back down. As Wang xi was preparing for his next attack the array underneath started to shine again.
