CHAPTER 148: SOUNDS FAMILIAR

"Hahahaha! At least they have gone!" A girl at a certain corner behind Peter's house beamed happily as she hugged the young man in front of her.

"Yes! I told you that this is town. I don't want freeloaders in my house.  People who don't know how to mind their own business. Life is hard, especially in this city,  love!" The man who was non-other than Peter beamed blissfully as he kissed the girl on her cheeks.

"You are heartless! Hahaha!" The girl said.

"This is life dear. The world itself is cruel, what about me? I can't stay with people who smell like pigs in my house. You know me! Hahaha!" Peter said shamelessly making the girl laugh unconditionally.

*************

"Richard....w-where...w-will we go now?...cry...sigh...where will we sleep?" Sandra cried on her husband's shoulder.

She was very desperate.

It was already at night and people were closing their expensive businesses ready to go home.

Where would they go?

"Calm down my dear. We will find a solution" Richard tried to calm his wife but he also needed someone to calm him down because deep inside of him, he was scared of what might happen to them.

"Don't say that now....this is all your fault!" Sandra cried louder as she leaned on her husband's body.

"We need to find a solution dear and blaming each other won't solve our problem at all!"

"Hay! You streets beggars! Go away! This is not a place to sit!" A bald Indian old folk yelled at the couple who were sitting outside his shop.

The man got out of his shop ready to close it only to spot these people.

"Sorry, sir!" Richard blurted out quickly as he pulled his wife towards him away from the shop.

"Sorry yourselves! Go away before I shout thieves!" The man exclaimed making Richard pull his wife as the woman cried harder feeling devastated.

They ran for some time and finally, they decided to sit at the roadside.

"Hay! It is already late! Why are you sitting here? This place is not safe because thieves and criminals always pass through this way!" A woman stated as she stood in front of the couple.

She was coming from the shop then she saw what that Indiana man said to these people and the way this man answered back, made her know that these people were harmless.

The woman was non-other than Diana! Blessing's friend is back at Mr Samir's mansion and a mother to the two adorable twins, Lisa and Lydia.

"We don't have anywhere to go ma'am!" Sandra did not hesitate and answered back.

"Ooh! Why then did you come to the city for?" Diana asked feeling sad for this couple.

"It is a long story but we are here to look for our daughter!" Richard blurted out making Diana open her mouth wide in shock.

"Oooh! Your story sounds familiar! Ooh! Hahaha! I am sorry, come with me! I will help you!" Diana suggested.

Sandra and Richard hesitated then finally they trailed behind.
