Elysia had come to the beach house, which she had designed with so much affection. There were tears in her eyes not because she was upset but because she had frustration inside her. Her love meant nothing to Atreus.
The sun was shining bright that could burn anyone's skin, but Elysia was almost forgotten about that. Her entire concentration was on the house inside which she had knitted hundreds of dreams of having a family with Atreus.
"Ahh," a low scream escaped Elysia's mouth and she looked at her wrist. A bug has bitten her when a familiar grip held her hand. She tilted her head and saw Trustin.
She pulled her hand back when he asked her to stay still.
He took her inside the house when Elysia asked him to stop. But Trustin did not listen to her. He took out the keys from his pocket and opened the doors for them.
Elysia was shocked to see the house keys with him.
"How did you get the keys, Trustin?" Elysia inquired him.
"I will answer later," Trustin said and he made her sit on the couch of the living room. He turned on the AC, and put switched it to the room temperature.
"Where is the kitchen?" Trustin asked.
"To the left," Elysia replied. Trustin headed to the kitchen while Elysia was still puzzled.
"How did he get the keys?" She murmured.
In a few minutes, Trustin entered with a towel in his hand which had two ice cubes inside it. He sat next to Elysia and asked her to forward her hand.
"I will do myself," Elysia said.
Trustin grasped her hand and pulled it toward him. He took out one ice cube and gently massage it over her wrist, where the bug had bitten her.
"I should call a doctor, I guess," Trustin said after he was done applying the ice cube to soothe the pain from her wrist.
"There is no need to do that," Elysia stopped him. "It will be fine soon," she added.
"Are you sure? If it pains too much, then we should go to the hospital," Trustin said, showing his concern.
Elysia was surprised to see how worried he got for her. It was not the same Trustin whom she saw yesterday.
Trustin flicked his fingers in front of her eyes, "Answer me."
"I feel no pain. The irritation has gone after you applied the ice cube," Elysia asserted.
"Hmm." Trustin stood up and went to put the towel and other ice cube to the kitchen in the washbasin before it would melt.
Again he returned to the living room, and removed his blazer.
"What are you doing?" Elysia frowned at him, who folded his sleeves up after he removed the tie.
"I bought this house," Trustin told her before Elysia could ask him again.
"What? Why?" Elysia was shocked to know about this.
"Because I liked it. It has a nice location," Trustin said and he looked at the windows in front of them. They could see the blue ocean from there.
"I am leaving," Elysia said.
"Huh? Stay here!" Trustin pronounced.
"You can stay here. I don't want to be inside this house," Elysia affirmed. She furiously stood up from her place when Trustin rushed to her. He grasped her left wrist and pinned her down on the sofa.
"Your past should not affect you anymore, Wife," Trustin said, looking into her eyes and then at her lips.
Elysia felt strange when he called her 'wife'. She stopped blinking and peered into his magical orbs.
"You have specialized in interior designing, so I want you to change the house interior. Remove every furniture from this house and order the new one. If you refuse to do that, I will have to hire someone," Trustin said. His breath fanned her lips and she curled the fingers of her hands which were on his arms.
"You can hire anyone you want. I don't want to do it." As he expected, she refused to work on the house interior.
"So, you wanna keep your lover's memories here!" He arched a brow at her.
"Atreus is not my lover. Not anymore," Elysia stated.
"Then, change the interior. We both will shift here soon, so I want you to work on it," Trustin affirmed.
"You know very well how much I hate it to be here," Elysia said.
"Don't you want to avenge for the wrong they both did? Hating this place will not do anything good. You made every single piece here with so much love. Eithan has told me about this place. It was your first dream project and I want you to keep it with you throughout your life," Trustin asserted.
"You really don't understand, Trustin. I saw them here. In that bedroom! They both were..." Her voice choked and tears streamed down her cheeks. "The-they made love right in front of me. Ho-how can I-I stay here?" She began weeping profusely.
All her emotions, which she had been holding burst out and it ached Trustin's heart. His wolf did not like to see her cry and his grip loosened on her arms. He sat next to her and pulled her into a hug. His fingers tangled into her soft hair as he caressed her head.
"I am sorry, Eli. I only wanted to apologize to you for my last night's behavior and even the morning behavior. I thought if I would buy this house, you would be happy," Trustin said while feeling guilty.
"I hate them, Trustin. I want to destroy them," Elysia said while sniffling.
"Let's do it together, then," Trustin said and he cupped her face between his large palms. Wiping the tears from his thumbs, he continued, "I will bring them on their knees to beg you. What do you say?"
"Hmm." Elysia nodded at him and again tears streamed down her cheeks.
"You should not cry, Elysia. It is the time when you should make them bleed," Trustin stated. His wolf wanted to kill those two bastards for cheating on Elysia. Only he knew how he had controlled himself.
Trustin ended up kissing the center of her forehead and then looked into her eyes. She pulled away from him and turned her back at him.
