The Disapproving Sister
They entered the grand dining hall of the Valerosa palace, flickering candles and freshly cut flowers decorated the set table. The table was littered with an array of exquisite dishes, a feast fit for royalty. Casmir had arranged this special meal in honor of Isabella's arrival and meeting his family.
As Isabella and the woman entered the dining hall, they found Casmir already seated at the far end of the long table. Casmir looked over at them, the woman's dark hair cascaded in loose waves, and her brown eyes held a hint of skepticism.
They watched as he rose and approached with a warm smile and a flicker in his eye. Casmir, ever the gracious host, pulled out a chair for Isabella. "My love, please, have a seat next to me." Before turning his familiar gaze to the woman. "I see you met my sister, Elara."
