Chapter 73 Going to Stonehenge

" Sirius is lady Katherine joining us to visit Stonehenge? " Duke Nicholas asked, his head tilted at her.

" No I would rather stay here" Katherine declined before Sirius could comment.

" She is. " Sirius said after her, making her shift her gaze to him but he said nothing.

They walked to the stable, a place she had never seen before. She was greeted by a wonderful sight of different types of horses, a mare, pony, unicorn and some other horses with nice skin colors.

" Sirius I never knew a place like this existed here in the mansion" She nudged his arm from amazement forgetting his and her foul mood at each other.

" Silly Nothing doesn't exist here" He scoffed. This got stars and brightening to her eyes.

" Courtyard? I have never seen one?" She said happily staring and waiting for his answer.

" We will see to there later but I am angry at you " he said lowering her mood.

Katherine pressed her lips together, walking to one of the horses she stroked it softly and it neighed at her.

" I think it's a way of it greeting me" She chuckled lightly with her hand covering her mouth just slightly.

" I can tell you seem so happy to visit here, have you not ever seem a stable before lady Katherine " She heard duke Nicholas voice from behind, he offered her a carrot to feed to the horse. She didn't reply, knowing Sirius may not have told him she wasn't from an elite family but his mother's maid.

Nicholas went to stand beside Sirius.

" Now am more suspicious, tell me what mystery is hidden between your marriage with her " He said in a low key.

" When have I kept something from you " He yawned dully, his eyes focused on his wife who seems happy even at his foul mood at her plus her laughter.

" Talk of that we say a countless times " Nicholas said with a raised suspicion.

" Milford I have arranged a ride " A coachman said to them.

" Kathrine! " Sirius motioned with his hand for her to come. She sighted a pairs of curricle not far from them.

" Are we riding on a curricle?" She asked excitedly.

" I think the curricle would be riding on us" He said sarcastically with a scoff before walking away towards the curricle.

Katherine tightened her fist beside her, she couldn't believe he said that to her. He wasn't gentleman at all and he climbed the curricle before her. She frowned at that, walking to the cubicle side without climbing on it.

" Did you have to say that! " she shot at him.

" Yeah I said what I have to say do you have a problem. " He rhetorically asked her unconcernedly. She knew when he acts like this was always when he was angry at her or the other but she was equally angry at him as well for so long but she took it in nicely.

" Forget it am not joining you to Stonehenge " she said to him and for a moment she sighted a smirk to his face.

" Don't but you better not run into the curricle while it's moving, Khalifa have it moving now. "

Katherine turned away angrily to match away just as she was about to take another step behold a huge wolf which walked around the large compound just as she did. Her heart skipped and the wolf snapped it head to her direction as if it heard something. It was dark now, some people were walking freely, people who visited the mansion, but non looked her way. Sirius must have intentionally done this.

" Howl " the huge wolf growled at her, it turned to her direction, snarling and walking towards her as it salivated as if she was it's favourite meal. Everything around her turned non existent as she was not thinking straight anymore.

" Help! Somebody help!" She shouted looking around but instead of them coming to help her they stared at her confusedly. She started moving her ass and in the next moment she was running towards the moving curricle which wasn't far from where it was before. She waved her hand and goodness the Coachman was kind to stop.

" I need help, I have to get in" Katherine said hurriedly when she looked back she saw the wolf running towards her. '' Help me get in" She persisted but when he didn't move she stretched her hand to the coachman who moved to take her hand but just at the moment another firm hand took her hand a rigid one. He lifted her off the floor to the seat of the curricle in a swift move.

Now safely sitting in the curricle she looked down and saw no sign of the wolf, it was just as if it was just an illusion. She panted, breathing heavily.

" Where is the wolf?" She asked herself.

" I didn't know you were a good runner, I will like to have you run this way some other day." Sirius said from beside her making her turn in surprise.

" You made an illusion ? there was no wolf " She said.

" You ran back to the curricle and joined me. " His expression was that of mock for her.

" Why did you do it? why? you didn't just scared me right there but you made a fool of me.'' Her voice cracked at the end.

" And you think you honored me by seeing your lover secretly even after our marriage " He said in a grim expression.

" Secretly lover?" She shut her eyes tightly.

" If it was someone else he do have been lashing out on you, you dearly wouldn't be in this condition. " He looked away from her.

" You think am cheating on our marriage, I never even throw tantrums once or complain about you" She pushed her index finger on his left chest. " Forci-" he caught her hand in his.

" I only have you married to me because I cared for you " He said. " Why is another man scent all over you"

" You use to be my saviour what's happened to that and if you cared you wouldn't hurt my feelings by forcing me into marrying you knowing I want someone else" She tried to pull away her hand from his tight hold on her wrist.

He crossed her one hand against her chest. " Want someone else my foot " he said to her in a pointed look. " You would not have wanted that low life when you had craved badly for me last night Katherine " He said.

" People are watching us" She turned embarrassed. " and you seduced me " She looked around to see the look they gave them in interest.

'' Seduce? com'n darling don't make lame excuses " he said. Katherine felt his word soften at her. " I only pecked you.''
