" You are luck miss it didn't bit you right? or any scratches right?" He questioned her skeptically. Katherine touched the scratch on her neck.

" I am okay, are the soul eaters also in Enruben? " She asked pulling her self up.

" Yes milady please be careful where are you heading. " He said concerned.

" I live around here I will find my way. " Katherine said and the hunter gave a look of surprise as elites were hard to be seen in Enruben.

" if you need any help I will be glad to offer I am Vincent, I have been situated here to hunt the Soul eaters and switchers such vile creatures." He said with a shook of his head.

" How long does a bite take to manifest. " she asked.

" It takes that moment. " The hunter replied.

" What about a scratch. " She asked. She wasn't human anymore she was scratched it sobered her heart.

" it longer though for the venom to circulate a week or more milady. " He said. " is there a problem milady? "

" Not at all." Katherine said, she reached for her hair before covering her neck. She turned away to the opposite of where she was previously heading to. The last thing she would want is accidentally turning vile and infecting her sister not any of her relative. She shouldn't have come, she should have listened to the sign from the beginning.

Katherine didn't arrive back to the Donovan mansion immediately but during close to dawn. She walked into the mansion.

" Katherine is that true you went to visit your relative without notifying us. '' Mrs Aubrey said sitting elegantly on the cushion with her leg crossed.

" Good evening mother in-law. I did tell a servant, I think my affairs in the house should concern my husband mother in-law. " Katherine courtesied.

" Quite straightforward and sensible, now I see the reason my son chose to marry you, Katherine you are now married into this family I want my daughter in-law strong and not easily intimidated." Mrs Aubrey said.

Katherine pursed her lips speechlessly.

'' You can call me mother." Mrs Aubrey said with a smile. " Will you come join me in the seat. "

Katherine didn't move an inch not sure If it would be safe but remembering the hunters words she walked to the lady. She just hope she wouldn't instantly turn or hurt the lady. Mrs Aubrey handed her a cup of black tea with a mixture of blood, she always saw the vampires drink it. She looked at the lady confused.

" Actually it doesn't contain any blood, it's good for you humans a combination of honey instead. She said and Katherine nodded. She took a sip from it, the soft drink quenched her thirsty dry tongue passing smoothly through her uvula. She would lie if she said she didn't love the taste. She gulped in the rest out of thirstiness.

" It's really good." She said with a smile.

" Of course it is, you need to eat more foods from now on for my healthy grandchildren." Mrs Aubrey said. Grandchildren it doesn't just come to one belly they are procedures and she doesn't know if she is ready for that now. Beside the lord was going to get married again and she would turn vile in a week or so.

" I still prefer a vampire though." Mrs Aubrey said. " Have you gone for a test. "

" Test? " She asked confused.

" of course to check if you have a baby. " Mrs Aubrey said in an obvious tone.

Mrs Aubrey and Katherine continued to converse. When it was twilight, she didn't know when Sirius arrived back as she just came out from her little stroll in the mansion, she didn't go any far. She saw a tall built figure of a man with long hair. She didn't see his face but she knew it was him.

'' You are back? " She asked standing on the hallway. Her hands clutched to her side.

" You don't want me back. " He said and when he stepped out his handsome face came into view. She got married to a very handsome man, but it wasnt for love. Sirius could still want another woman if he wants and he was going to get married again.

" How was your day at work today. " She asked ignoring his question.

" Good. " His words were short. His eyes swept her to her foot, as if sizing her up which made her quite comfortable. " where you taking a stroll? "

" Yes. " she answered. She knew he was expecting her to talk about it but she didn't say a word. Katherine breath out her eyes caught sight of a portrait and she walked to it.

" Too many stories about you today? He said and her eyes widened.

" I visited my sister, she wasn't happy with our marriage, she liked you so I needed to talk to her. " She said caressing the portrait which had a picture of the mansion.

Sirius walked to stand beside her and she stood rigid. " You suddenly seem uncomfortable with me." He said with his eyes squinted.

" I simply don't trust you, I think I need to be saved from you." Katherine said staring seriously at the portrait as if she found a treasure.

" I told you I will treat you well. " He said his face staring at her. but she was seriously looking at the portrait. " Did you meet with your relative?" He asked.

"I didn't I just came back" Katherine said. She prayed he wouldn't ask her more questions.

" You smell non like them but this, something else. " He said making her heart skip. He turned her around to sniff her.

" Oh stop it's nothing its must be the local carriages." She blurted out.

" So why didn't you take our carriage " His brows furrowed at her.

" I thought Mother and father would not like that and it would be somehow as if. " she bit her lower lip in embarrassment.

" As if you couldn't wait to use the carriage is that what you want to say, good so how was the trip. "

" Very bad and so many attention." She uttered.

Sylvia who stood behind gazed at the couple, she had a smile on her face as she had overhead the conversation. She had thought her poor brother was in love but she was wrong and it brought joy to her heart. She walked to them to deliver a message.

" Brother Sirius, dinner is ready. " Sylvia put her arm round his brother hand. " Mother got your favorite dish prepared let's go. " She intentionally took Sirius with her leaving the maid there.

Katherine stepped into the dinning room, she sat beside Sirius as he had nodded his head at her to do so.

Sirius helped her cut her fruits and also passing the foods. The family conversation were few this time. When the dinner was over Sylvia was the first to retrieve back to the room.
