Chapter 59

Katherine woke up from the morning sun which peeked through horizontally through the curtains. it was after a while have she slept this long up till, she snapped her face to the clock side. it was 7:30 a.m. Up till 7:30, it was, almost a good night sleep if she haven't dreamt of herself laying frail on the cold floor one day with her body discolorating. dead in her dream, where Sirius had finally drain up her entire blood. she would have called it a good night sleep. In as much she was disheartened for loosing her job she was happy for finally being free at last from the Vampire lord.

Katherine had made sure to serve Mrs Aubrey dutifully, it made her wonder what she did wrong for Mrs Aubrey to bring up a claim upon her, as to trying to seduce his son into marriage.

Use to being all agile, she had her bath before going to do the house chores which was difficult with Claire taunting her. By then Mr. Reuben had already left. When she was done she now went to the small size dinning table to take her food. She was still going to trim the shrubs flower at the backyard but she needed to eat first. Evelyn sat opposite her, as she ate hers. Katherine opened up her plate it was a freshly made toast bread, steak and butter, with a milk glass at the side of the dish plate. " Finally" she uttered. Katherine reached for the bread with her hand but as soon as she was about to yank it into her mouth there was a knock at the door. She looked up at Evelyn and then Claire but when they weren't interested at the door she dropped her toast walking towards the door.

When she opened the door she saw some neatly dressed men at the door. They wore same attire and it dawned to her they were servants, from their uniform they were from the same mansion in Groovington she just ran away from.

" How may I help you. " She asked with a raised chin. She did it to make them know she wasn't intimidated at all.

" We were sent to bring you back to the Lord's mansion. " One of them said who seem to be the leader of them. His chest was puffed up and his hair wavy and black. There were scars round his face which looked rough.

" I was sacked, now if you could leave. " Katherine made an attempt to retrieve back but was stopped by his voice.

" Mrs Aubrey said you should be made present to her right now."

'' So? Tell madam Aubrey I am not coming back, she loosed a dutiful servant like I am, I stood beside her day and night with empty stomach, nauseousness and dizziness isn't that enough that is over tell her that." Katherine said sternly in anger being reminded of her experience in Groovington.

" I kindly request you follow us unless we will be forced to carry you to the carriage over there. " The man said looking tough without batting an eye lid as if his words was final.

" oh my goodness!" Katherine placed her hand on her mouth to close them. " I will make sure to get this words you uttered now reported to the council, you are going to lift a lady. " She said in shock. She glared furiously at the man.

" Not us but another woman, two women in precise. " He said looking to the side and that was when she sighted two tall fleshy or is it said chubby looking women.

" Non of you is going to do that, I mean what does the Donovan still want from me? " Katherine asked, she banged her palm on the wall beside her with a wince of annoyance.

" Katherine who is that!! " Evelyn shouted from inside.

One of the women walked to her, who hair was tied in a bun with a plain white hair band which covered the bun. The tall woman handed her an envelope. Katherine took it opening it she reads.

Katherine return back now not for anything but for you and Sirius marriage. If you would like you can inform your parents before arriving but you need to be present now, no delay....

Katherine shoved her face away breathing out air, this shouldn't be any truth.

Your parents can come afterwards because you two would be married not any day but tomorrow.

" Where did you get this letter?" She asked the woman with horror in her face. She felt a hand on her shoulder and it was Evelyn.

"Who are this people Katherine, please come inside." Evelyn said.

" No!! tell Mrs Aubrey am not going get married to the lord he wouldn't even want to marry me. " Katherine said in horror, this men were indeed coming from the lord mansion merely looking at them. Did the lord know about this, why would he even want to marry her when he clearly stated that day her type wouldn't offer anything to him. plus she told him she was waiting for Aaron although Aaron didn't come that day, he wrote her an apology letter saying he was busy. She loves Aaron and would only want to be his wife one day.

The woman had a furrowed brows at her words. " Of course the lord would not marry you what are you saying. " The woman snatched the paper away from her to read the content. she was astonished with a tinge of annoyance when she looked at Katherine.

" Are you coming or are we to carry-" The woman was cutter off.

" No need I will like to talk to Mrs Aubrey and the lord, Evelyn tell uncle and aunt I will be back if they arrive before me., " she said her eyes set in determination to speak to Mrs Aubrey. Evelyn held her hand from leaving.

" What do you mean marriage with the lord? " Evelyn said taking the paper she read from it without uttering a word frozen at the floor.
