Chapter 58

The Donovan family continued to have their meal for the night, the dinner was unlikely silent. Sirius didn't see Katherine behind his mother and wondered if she was perhaps angry and asked the girl to withdrew back to the servant quarters.

" Sirius" Mr Augustus called getting his son attention. " I don't want to bring this up because I don't quite believe son, but did you ever said you choose to marry Katherine your mother's personal maid."

Sirius dapped the napkin on the side of his lips to wipe any possible stain. " I did, I want to marry Katherine." He said with a poker look to show his length seriousness.

Augustus face faltered not believing what his son just said. Sirius has always been a mentor to all and what would people say, the family name will be also tarnished. " Sirius I don't want to hear you say that again you can have any woman you want but not that one." He angrily dipped his cutlery into his food to stuff his mouth.

" I expected you to say that but either the maid you say or I remain unmarried." He said.

" Are you insinuating on ruining the clean blood we have carried up till now, not only is she a mere peasant she is a human."

" I never said that, this shouldn't be a topic to put any light in I know what I want or don't I?

" Sirius you are a sensible man, If that's what you want if th-"

" I can't believe you agreed so easily Augustus I don't want a human daughter in-law, I will never accept that." Aubrey said.

" Brother what is all this just let this be a prank. " Sylvia said fakingly fanning herself with her hand.

" it isn't Sylvia you will have to learn to live together with a human. " Sirius casually said.

" The human will even die within no time, if you are going to get married to the maid who work for mother then you have to get married to two wife, a vampire, besides some other towns practice polygyny." Sylvia said.

" polygamy you say." Sirius said and Mrs Aubrey cuted in.

" I quite agree with Sylvia." Aubrey said.

" Okay I will get married to two wives is this conversation over for goodness sake. '' Sirius sighed a little firmly before leaving the table.

The family retrieved to their rooms while the servants took the plates. Mrs Aubrey didn't have a personal maid for now so she sent a servant to prepare her bath. The servant was glad to do so, with the thought of being upgraded to a maid position at least but it was far from the Mrs mind.

When Sirius reached his room he lit up a lighter to light his cigarette, what he has been doing to quench his thirst. He stood at the side of the window overlooking the town. His eyes started giving a shade of silver and dark red, but he ignored it and continued to take a drag from his cigarette. Later during midnight, he decided he was going to drink from her, exhausted of having to quench his thirst.

He creaked the door open, his eyes fell on the bed containing only a person. The person Katherine was sharing room with. He stepped into the room, he took a sniff but smelled nothing of her. Where was the girl? was she talking a stroll in the night?

He stepped out of the room before starting to walk out of the building still trying to sniff her. A thought crossed his mind. He should have smelt at least a tinge of her and since he smelt non in the room, it meant Katherine left her room a long time ago and likely before her roommate slept away.

He went back to the room, quietly closing it beside him not to alert a soul. He wouldn't have been in this stinking place if not of the young naive girl who chose to be a maid. He couldn't explain why he do chosen to marry her, but there was really something inspiring about her standing out from most of the other women.

Titania snapped open her eyes with the call of her name. She saw the lord standing beside the mattress where she layed with his hand tucked on his pocket. She couldn't fathom why the lord was here but the lord visiting her alone during the midnight was ringing a bell. She wondered if the lord so wanted to do it.

" Milord. " Titania sat up immediately with a red tomato face. She had a blush on her face which fell almost immediately at his question.

" Where is Katherine?." She heard him ask with a poker face and there was an aura she noticed which shook her. She didn't know where her roommate mostly because Katherine left impulsively with no much of attention.

" I don't really know Milord, I haven't seen her since today. " Titania with her head down. it was a taboo for servants to look straight at their masters.

" You have no idea where your roommate is and you didn't report." Sirius spoke in a sharp tone which got goose bumps all around the girl's body.

Before Titania could give any explanation she felt her body move and she was yanked up in the air by a gravity created by the Vampire.

" Milord please I didn't know she was missing I thought she probably gone with you I really don't know she." Titania felt the gravity leave her and she fell to the floor, she heard some footsteps and when she looked up the lord was gone out of the door, leaving it wide open.
