Chapter 54

" I don't think it's the miss birthday but mine." Katherine heard the familiar voice which made her sigh in relief. But she was quick in straightening up and pulling off her hand.

" Sirius."

" The lord, a happy birthday to you and long life and of course we have wished you. " A man with black spiky hair said.

" of course I do have long life. " he chuckled and the man couldn't mind but join him, knowing it was the truth.

" I am trying to court the miss." He said with a sparkle in his eyes.

I am only for Aaron so don't court me she thought in her mind. Sirius eyes fell on her and there was a slight irritation that passed his eyes. He couldn't bear seeing his food being all perched around by flies. He have to shoo them off.

Some of the audience had there eyes on them and that included Sylvia. she couldn't believe she wasn't the topic of the day and the attention of the men as it has always been, this made her hatred grew more for the girl.

'' The lady here doesn't want any of you around her, I would want you three to excuse her." he said to them.

'' Not until you leave yourself.'' one of the men said but it wasn't long the other two men left,leaving him.

" See you soon Matthew." He said and to Katherine surpris the lord signaled her to follow him.

" You aren't leaving with the woman." Mathew blurted embarrassed. As the people in the party were vampires, those who were interested listened to their conversation. They were surprise to know the lady was just a servant with no background.

" That is my woman, Mathew and beside I have somewhere to be. " He turned away and Katherine did the same. Katherine was shocked by Sirius words and she became suddenly embarrassed and red of Sirius words to keep the man away, she knew he didn't mean it. Before he could take a step the man places his hand on his shoulder.

" hahaha your woman you say, your mother's maid, common you ain't that of low taste" He lowered his voice so that they could be the only one hearing. His tongue flicked." Hearing her background I just wanted a taste of her, not to build a relationship." Sirius fist balled before landing it on the man's jaw which creaked as a sign of dislocation.

" Aaaah !!" The man held his jaw and when he tasted blood. He moved his hand to punch back but was held almost immediately on his fisted hand on the air. Sirius gripped the man's jaw tightly and few, seconds his teeth came flying off.

" Say that once again now Mathew. "He warned with a eerie smile curved in his face. Murmurs erupted in the hall as they watched knowing well not to interrupt the lord. If he was beating up the man it could be for a reason. The man hand struggled to release Sirius firm hand on his jaw. Slowly he felt his whole teeth fall and he was teethless.

" What have you done! " Mathew screamed to only receive a dumpy sound. He won't really be able to speak again. They were gasps as the guest saw the toothless man and his teeth on the floor.

" What have you done Milord, why did you pull out all his teeth, I don't think he would be able to speak anymore." Katherine said worriedly. Two men who seem to care for the man took him away.

" yes I know that's why I uprooted all of them" He looked down at her. " Are you okay? and this dress what did you expect." His eyes momentary fell on her cleavage.

"Sirius dear" Mrs Aubrey called. she walked to where they were standing. " why did you hit the man?" she asked. From her Question you could think she was concerned but there was non. She was just upset for the man ruining his son party. Katherine was quick to return to the lady's side.

The party continued to resume, everyone happy and not bothered by the man who could not talk anymore. it was time for gift exchange so Sirius was summoned to come forward.

" I will continue to wait for my relative. " she said and Sirius nodded. He had ask her to stand beside him so that no man will come to perch around her again and as well keeping a very good host to the guests. " Don't worry Kathie I will be back."

As the gift exchange continued, Katherine sighted her relative at the side where the servants stood, her eyes widened and she quickened her step towards them. She didn't know they would be here all this while.

" Aunt! uncle! Evelyn!"She ran to them, she was so happy so see them. Evelyn walked to her and she immediately engulf her in a hug. " I miss you Evelyn am glad you came! " Evelyn hand circled around her tightly. With her eyes moistened, she opened them to see Uncle Reuben and his wife. " Uncle! Aunt! " she uttered. Evelyn pulled away to give her a space to greet her other relative.

" Uncle Aunt you are here, uncle you really took some time to be home" Katherine eyes moistened as she gave them a smile with a slight bow.

" look like you make quite a money here that you forgot to write to us" Esther said to her leanng over his husband she whispered. " Look how silk her dress is made of."

" This dress " Katherine looked down at her dress as if to check if what her aunt said was true. " I have never given much importance to high standard dress, I didn't buy them but was gifted by my mistress." Katherine tried to maintain a serene smile with her aunt after being reminded of how she treats she and Evelyn.

" Uncle how have you been?" she asked and when Uncle Reuben mouth moved to speak was interrupted by his wife.

" what do you think leaving us here with the servants." she said with a frown looking down at her. '' Just because you got a better cloth than us doesn't mean you are higher than we are, aren't you even working as-" Reuben interrupted her with a high tone.

" Stop it now!! Esther we just met with her." He said in an authoritative voice. " Don't talk to her like that as if she is an outcast" His voice was filled with seriousness. Esther looked away with a folded hands.

" Uncle it doesn't matter, aunt Esther words aren't that mean. I can't see Steve and Claire around." she looked around them.
