Chapter 36

Entering the local carriage of Groovington which looked worn out as other carriage in other towns. she had to take the test for her mistress sake even though she knew she has not been touched by any man. She noticed men and women of the town giving her looks and she wondered if it was because she wasn't from the town.

Katherine dragged her leg to the building, she wasn't putting on her maid attire but her normal cloth. The small house had flowers decorated at the entrance which led the way. she admired them.

A woman took her blood sample and she had to wait. the syringes she pierced at her hand reminded her of Sirius bite. " you will get the result in an hour you have to wait " a lady came to tell her.

Katherine went outside in the long hall way to dit on one of the benches. she sat there passing her time by looking at who went and come. " Are you Katherine " someone came to call her. she nodded in affirmation. " follow me."

Entering back in the room she saw the woman who was attending to her. " Here is your test result" she said giving her an Envelope. Katherine took it from her before walking out of the room.

seeing the weather which screams she was late and it was turning dawn she quickened her pace.

" kathie!!" she heard a familiar voice call her and she wondered what he was doing here in Groovington. she stopped and turned to her back at the call.

" I didn't know I will be meeting you here" Aaron said with a smile. An average tall guy with curly brown hair who lived at Enruben where she lived with her cousin.

what a small world she thought. " Aaron, never thought I will be seeing you here too. " her voice was bright, happy to see someone she knew here in Enruben. adding to it she had a soft spot for him before leaving.

" What a small world we live, what are you doing here kathie " he said with a gentle smile still on his face. He looked as happy as Katherine looked which was written in their eyes. Katherine gripped on her envelope she haven't opened it knowing what the obvious is. she saw Aaron eyes fall on her held hands together, holding the envelope. He wanted to comment on it. but she talked instead.

" I found a work here " Katherine said.

" Really, that's good what sort of work" he asked curiously. Katherine breathed out before saying. " As as a... mai.d " she felt embarrassed that beads of sweat formed on her forehead.

" kathie there is nothing to be embarrassed about you know I wouldn't judge you."

when she looked up at him she saw his soft gaze at her, Aaron was a perfect friend. " thanks. what are you doing here yourself " she asked him and a threatened chuckle escaped from him. " uhm found a work as well a secretary in the council office here in Groovington " Does that mean they would be seeing them self often but she would be stuck with her mistress won't she??

" that's nice congrats Aaron " kathie said happy for him.

" which way are you going " he asked.

" That way" Katherine pointed straight ahead.

" heading straight also let's go Kathie " The two walked together until they flagged down a carriage.

Aaron accompanied her to her working house after much resistance from her. " goodbye kathie I will come to meet you on some occasions "

" I don't think the Donovan will like that " she said and Aaron looked up at the huge mansion. " Did you say Donovan " he asked.

" yes the lord lives here " she said and right after they heard the sound of carriage to only see the lord walking out and and towards them. Katherine looked up at him worriedly. " is their a problem kathie " Aaron looked back at her in concern.

" I didn't know that the weather has changed this bad am late " she looked around to see everywhere slightly dark.

" that's why I accompanied you" he said confuse to why she was acting that way.
