The timer hit zero, and I was whisked away once more. When I opened my eyes, I found myself floating in what appeared to be… space!

Looking around, I spotted an enormous star-like object behind me. It wasn't a sun—it was the world I was tasked to protect. Its size dwarfed any celestial body I'd ever seen, yet strangely, it emitted no heat. Lusis contacted me immediately.

I nodded, dismissing my weapons into my inventory. Activating all my eyes and entering Sage Mode, I summoned my shadows. As my senses expanded, I spotted it on the horizon—and froze. Despite double-checking, the sight didn't change.

A colossal black serpent loomed in the distance, its three crimson-rimmed black eyes glowing ominously. Its sheer size defied comprehension—it could encircle the world behind me entirely, swallowing it whole.

Ajamu: "Wait… am I supposed to fight that ?"

Lusis (voice tinged with understanding): "I know how overwhelming it looks. This is your first encounter with such a threat. Consider your previous battles mere tutorials. This is the kind of danger worlds face regularly. Believe it or not, this one is relatively young. Older ones are ten times larger and far more destructive."

His words left me speechless. Let me clarify—I'm a warrior general. I've fought countless battles, faced death head-on, and even died once. Yet, seeing this monstrosity barreling toward me was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. The suffocating aura of hunger and death emanating from it paralyzed me momentarily.

As for me, I conjured ten Truth-Seeking Balls and launched them directly at the serpent's face. It noticed the incoming projectiles and retaliated with a massive laser beam from its eyes, intercepting five of the balls. The remaining energy surged toward me.

The attack was impossibly fast and vast. With no time to dodge and my shadows still too close to teleport safely, I summoned my Susanoo and raised my staff defensively. My shadows moved in front of me, forming a protective barrier.

The impact obliterated all my shadows instantly. My Susanoo absorbed the brunt of the blast, but even then, I sustained damage that depleted 10% of my HP. Meanwhile, the surviving Truth-Seeking Balls struck their target, causing the serpent to roar in pain. However, the wounds inflicted were superficial—mere scratches compared to its immense size. Enraged, it intensified its assault.

Ajamu: "Shit, shit! Shadows, abandon my initial order! Spread across this space so I can teleport to your positions. Everyone, take a direction and fly—NOW!"

Nodding grimly, I resumed my assault, gradually luring the beast away from the planet. For hours, I danced around it, dodging lasers and tail swipes while bombarding its body with Truth-Seeking Balls.

Then came the moment that nearly ended me. Opening its maw, the serpent unleashed a deafening sonic attack I hadn't anticipated, dealing 45% damage. Before I could recover, a follow-up laser reduced my HP to a mere 15%.

Fury coursed through me. Abandoning caution, I ceased leading it away and poured everything I had into obliterating it. Universal Pull and Push proved ineffective against its titanic form, so I focused on carving deep gashes in its armored hide. Once I created enough openings, I unleashed torrents of fire and lightning upon its exposed flesh.

Four grueling hours passed—a blur of combat, teleportation, and desperate consumption of HP, MP, and stamina potions. Finally, the beast succumbed. By the end, I had expended 60 mana potions, 30 HP potions, and 20 stamina potions. My armor shattered during the final moments of the battle.
