Chapter 72 THE TRIP
FLORENCE'S POINT
The cold ambience of the surrounding greeted me as soon as I storm out of my apartment. I look over the horizon and saw the just risen sun slowly eating away the darkness on the orange tinge sky.
I tightly hold my jacket and locked the door before I climbed down the stairs. I saw Mrs. Cecile, the landlady, drinking her coffee.
She must have noticed my presence. Her eyes widened a bit after seeing me. "Oh, Florence. You're earlier than usual."
I beamed. "We have an important jaunt to do, Mrs. Cecile. The destination is quite far from here that's why we need to be really early," I responded.
"Is that so? Have you taken your breakfast already?"
I nod my head.
"That's good. Have a safe trip, dear."
I just simply smiled at her and walked towards the small gate. The noises coming from the few vehicles and people passing by the street pervaded my ears. I drop the bag on the floor containing some clothes and necessities to fish out my phone.
