Do yourself a favour, add it in the library, and start reading it rn. Stop wasting time here because I guarantee, it will be worth it. Still not convinced? here you go.. This has to be by far the best COTE fanfics I have ever read. I always wanted to have Light yagami as a character in COTE and see how the story unfolds. AND IT WAS THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. You see, when I first found this novel, there were only 8 chapters, and was last updated 2 week prior. Anyone could tell at a glance that it was a lost cause, and most likely dropped. But yet, since I was bored out of my mind i decided to click on it to see what's it about. And my god, did I love it! The only sad part was that it wasn't going to be updated anymore and wished for more chapters. So, I left a review hoping to motivate author to publish more, by any chance. After 1 month I get a notification that a new chapter was published. Since then I kept up with the chapters daily and it was so rewarding. Now the author updates daily, and i the happiest Fruce, and lived happily ever after. ~THE END~ P.S: no I'm not a paid actor. I wish I were tho ...

This is by far one of the best Cote fanfics where plot deviation are best part of it because it acknowledges a realistic outxcome which could have been a possibility in canon event . portrayal of Light yagami is so accurate and nearly perfect that it's mind boggling . it's shows author has grasped The character of Light and wrote it like og author . Mc has a great goal not lazying arround or outwrite competing with others for the sake of it . Good world building, good characters (expecting more interaction with others important characters) , good story peaceing , Good writing quality . only issue is updating stability and more charecters monologues (May be ss ?) . Best thing of this book is mc isn't class D member which makes it better than 99% cote fics . Author U cooked indeed . Hope you will cook more great meals in future 😋.

This is great. This is exactly what you'd expect if Light was in CoTE. His character has been incredibly consistent.

Author, let me tell you that I hate you and love you at the same time, I don't think anyone has captured the essence of Light Yagami like you did in the little story that goes, if someone has done it like you, please pass me their story, I want to wait 3-4 months until I can see many chapters again without having to wait many days waiting for an update, but I can't stop entering your profile every day hoping for a new chapter PS: I don't know why the author disappeared for a while but I hope he's okay.

The chapters are few, but it is really interesting. It gave us a new perspective about the anime. As a fan of both COTH and DN I highly recommend this. The story so far is intriguing, and I can't wait for the new chapter.

I'm starting to think this guy is like some intelligent anime character, coming up with all these mastermind strategies like Yagami.

I'm not really good at explaining things but trust me, this COTE Fic is phenomenal. Light is depicted so well, his decisions and thought process seem like something the real Light would do. Also, just my opinion, but I'm glad the author has made it seem like Light is smarter than Ayanokoji (I personally believe Light is smarter). It has originality with Light Yagami being in Class C, and building upon the student council. I love the fact the author provides hints throughout the chapters about Light's scheme and how you can actually figure out what he did before it's revealed. The author has done well keeping the schemes plausible and genius, without making the smart characters dumber than they should be. The writing quality is really good and it improves as the chapters go on. That does bring it one problem, the author has trouble with uploading chapters consistently, though it seems he will be uploading more frequently now, so I'm happy. Also, I don't blame author for this, he has a lot of things in life to prioritize, so I understand he can't upload every single day. I can tell the author is trying really hard to make the best COTE Fic he can, and I believe he is succeeding in that. I recommend this story and hope you guys give this COTE Fic a chance, I promise you that you won't regret it.

The writing is truly creative and thought out. Forget plot holes, this feels like reading the actual COTE LN with the depth presented to Light’s schemes. Updating stability is great, no grammatical errors, really nothing to criticize. Recommend to anyone who enjoys COTE, very entertaining read

Almost a 10/10. Only thing holding it back is the lack of a stable update routine. But the Author has a life, so I can't blame him. 10/10 from me, but I gotta show no bias.

Well written. Good introduction to characters. Light is portrayed well here. And chapters are consistent enough. A 5/5. The dynamic between Ryuk and Light remains the same, despite no death note, and Ryuk does not play too heavy of a role or s crutch. I like the fact light can see and is being followed by a literal death god. Good job author, you have my praise. Keep cooking.

I can confidently say this is one of the best fictions i have ever read the author is genius and he represented light yagami as in the anime exactly I hope we can see more content like this as there is not much death note fictions I really wish the author the best

I liked the start of the story, but as the chapters go on, many comments correct some characteristics of Light the author got wrong, but has no intention of fixing. Also nerfed Light by these mistakes and let's put him in Class C, just cause it is interesting basically is how it is.

love this cote fic, only complaint would be that kiyotaka's character seems a bit different to me but can ignore past that given how small kiyotaka appeared till now

Although this is not the best story I have read, I can safely say that this is a world-class fanfic, one of the best webnovels without a doubt.

Top 3 OAT in terms of COTE Fanfics, this is a must read. Only thing I dislike is that there isn’t enough of it.
