Lance's POV
The brief conversation I had with Nevian was enough to clear off my drowsiness and replace it with panic.
Several times, I tried to get Nevian to spill all what had happened but he was mute, making me worried even more.
That night, I began to pace about, thinking of all possible places Khloe could have gone to with Adele's eyes following my every move.
When she couldn't take it anymore, with a loud and offensive tone, she asked, "What is all this about?"
"Please, I'm not mentally stable for any form of argument with you tonight." I snarled at her, clenching and unclenching my fists in anger.
Rolling her eyes, she plopped on the bed only to rise the next minute with a deep frown on her face.
Pouting, she said, "You make me suspect you, you know."
Like I said, I wasn't ready for whatever she wanted to spew and so I decided to ignore her but Adele wasn't one to give up.
