With the arrival of the winter season, the sultry weather turned into a chilly one. The wind made Ava shiver as she walked out of the hospital. She couldn't help but cross her arms.

Her designated driver had disappeared, so she fished out her cell phone from her bag and was about to make a call when another call came in from an unfamiliar number.

The moment the call was connected, a familiar, low-pitched male voice came from the phone speaker beside her ear, "Are you still in the hospital?"

"Yes, what happened?" Ava was shocked but managed to reply. He never called her, why would he call her today

"Wait for me there." Franklin answered in a deep voice and hung up the phone.

"Hm, okay..." Ava said curiously. Was he going to come pick her up himself?
